A slightly better day
Hello my sweet sisters,
I am finally home and in the tub.I'm typing on my kindle so forgive any weird typos.
So today I had some help. Thank God for his mercies. I had Mike and Butch's sister Lisa and her husband Matt. We got that fort taken apart and out of the back yard ! A major hurdle. Got most of it moved to Mike and Christies house too. There's still one load left to make but it is already loaded on the little trailer and I'll move it tomorrow.
Lisa made a start on painting the dining room but she had to go out and supervise the guys so much she didn't get to finish. (Mike and Matt are both willing b but they're not good ol boys from east Texas. Not a lot of know how between them.) I worked diligently on cleaning out each bedroom. We're making progress.
So I'll go back tomorrow and finish the painting. Butch's brother Sandy is coming this weekend to help me sort thru the outside stuff in the shed. Then his brother rusty and wife Judy are coming next Monday and Tuesday. They will take any of the things I want to keep at the other lake house home with them. If all goes well I can have the junk man come next week and haul off what's left. Then all I'll have to do is clean and we can put it on the market.
I did a little better today. I only cried a little bit when Lisa got there. I don't know if y'all will remember but Lisa was with me almost every day while Butch was in hospice.she was there when he passed. It was hard to see her this morning. But I got busy and things got better until right now. I'm crying a little right now but not like yesterday.
They offer grief counseling at the hospice and I promise I will call just as soon as I get this lake house mess behind me.
I'm exhausted mentally, physically, emotionally. I'm taking my drugs and going to bed very soon. But I do feel better this evening. Making progress on that mess out there today really helped. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I love every one of you and all the sweet words of encouragement you give me. God bless you all.
Vic, I am so happy people showed up to help you...I know this was very hard on you but in the end, you will settle more in your new place when you don't have the stress from knowing you have to get the lake house done. You are getting stronger every single day and I am so proud of you. Drink some wine and rest...tomorrow you will get more done.
Hello Vickie....I a so glad you got Butch's family to help you with the lake house. All together you can get done in a few days what would have taken you a few weeks. Thank you GOD for answered prayers.
I wish you a peaceful and restful sleep. Good night sweet friend!
Much love and lots of hugs....connie d
