Up Early Wednesday--too much on my mind to sleep!

Good morning lovely sistas,

Well, let's all start with a collective prayer/good thoughts/swinging chickens for our sista Kathy today! I know she must be so ready to get all the waiting behind her!

I'm up early. Just kept waking up all night long with too much on my mind. I suppose trying to cram everything I've put off doing for the last several months into the last two weeks of October might not have been the best of plans.

Anyway, I have to call the city of Schertz this morning about getting a permit for my garage sale. I tried to follow the links on the web site last night, but it was like going in circles. I never did get to Misc. Permits! So I'll call this morning and find out where to go to fill out the permit. I did read that I'm only allowed TWO signs to advertise my garage sale. But that's okay. As soon as I know for sure I can have it this Saturday, I will advertise it myself on those on-line garage sale sites I belong to on FB. Plus, the big neighborhood that adjoins mine is having a community-wide garage sale this weekend, so there will be lots and lots of traffic coming into the area on Saturday.

Now if I can only get everything tagged and displayed! That's the hard part. I don't have enough tables, but I do still have all those big packing boxes from the move. (Actually I'm glad I kept those now.) I will use those as "tables" to display items.

I am hoping to get Carrie to come down this weekend and help, but don't want to pressure her into thinking she HAS to come. This is her only weekend "off" all month, and she might just want to stay home and rest. Chris is working on Saturday, so it will probably just be Mom and me. OMG. She's already planning where we should sit to check people out. I told her we will probably not be doing all that much sitting, but will be circulating among people, but she's determined to set up a check out station. Fine. Whatever. It will keep her out of my hair!

So this is my week. I hope everyone else is doing well--or better, at least, today! Love you all!

Well today is my day to get this crazy mesh out! I hope they can get it out thru the endoscopy! I have my doubts! So they do have the operating room in hold if they can't get it! I have to be there At 1:15. I'll be admitted.

I kept my 22 yr old Neice overnight with Vinnie. She had a good time. My daughter and I took the kids to a place called my Gym. The girls tumbled all over the place!!

i forgot how much work two two yr olds were!!!

Vickie...I have been praying for Kathy. I pray everything goes great for her surgery and that her recovery will go by quickly. I am so excited for her!!!!

I am praying for you too. I hope the garage sale gets set up with any real wars going on. Your mom seems like a very stubborn woman at times. I agree, let her find her spot check out station...LOL!!!! Like you said, then she won't be riding you all day!

Carrie might like to come and help. Garage sales can be fun!! It depends on how much rest she needs.

Carla....what fun for the girls at that bouncy place. Kids just love those things. That should wear them out!! I am still sending prayers until you get your results and in case you need surgery.

As for me.... I am not doing much today. I will at least sit outside for awhile when it warms up. I am not sure about the walking part yet. One step at a time. It is only 46 degrees right now at 11:30 AM. BUT....the sun is shining!

My cleaning fairy, Melissa should be here about 1:00. Sometimes she calls and comes early if she can. I had some extra things I wanted her to help me with. We won't get them done this time. My hands aren't working well enough to tackle that chore.

I am going to have Melissa help me make a batch of homemade chicken noodle soup. I have been craving it!! It won't be hard for her to do as I already have the chicken cooked and cut up in the freezer.

I am not sure I will be on much more to post today. I am just not up to it. I will check in later to catch up on new posts.

Have fun with the garage sale. I help my brother with one of those once. Lots of work.

I was so tired last night I went to bed at 11 p.m., really early for me. But I woke up several times coughing. Was going to go to the Y but couldn't stop coughing so I took some cough medicine. Then I had an IBS flare. Then I had a nap attack. I'm still hoping I'll feel better so I can go to the movies with Gary. We're going to see "The Martian."

Carla, hope your surgery goes well ... when is it?

I hope Kathy's surgery went off as expected today.

I'm ready to get in the shower, I guess. So I guess I'll get off this and say good bye for now. Have a good day.

Hoping to hear Kathy has had her surgery and is resting....she has waited so long!

Carla - I hope all goes well for you today, too. Hope they can get the mesh out during the endoscopy - if not, at least the OR will be available and it will be over and done today.

Vickie -- You are going to be so tired handling the garage sale on your own, while keeping an eye on Mom. Could you "hire" someone like your handyman for a few hours to help out and also load things. Or go on-line to one of those sites that allow you to hire babysitters, errand runners, helpers, etc. - or even Angie's List? Might be better to pay someone to help and you just handle the money. Just a thought. It sounds like you have a lot of stuff.

Connie -- Homemade chicken soup -- YUM! Sounds good. Get a load of this -- I went for a walk today....that's right - me. Didn't go far, but I did enjoy the fresh air. I took the puppy, but that did not work out well because he kept pulling at the lea**** was just so nice out. I was going to give the front lawn one more cutting, but couldn't get the mower going, so I decided on the walk. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow I'll drive to the beach or the walking track -- not that I could do a whole lap, but even a little bit will be good for me.

Eileen, I'm envious you're going to see The Martian. I L.O.V.E. space movies....I've actually got a "hold" placed on the book at the library - I'm number three on the list. I usually see the movies when they're On Demand.

I had a quiet day - besides the walk, I drove my friend to pick up her car -- a nice ride in the country. The leaves were beautiful.

Tomorrow - the dentist.

Mary, I hadn't gone much before my brother moved in with me. The Martian is very good. From what I've read, the science is accurate. My brother is reading the e-book and says the movie follows the book.

Connie, sorry your pain is off the charts today. The darn weather changes sure do a number on quite a few of us. I hope you're able to get some rest.

Afternoon OFF family!!!!

Well we are FINALLY correct on our Drivers Licenses after this last move to Galion!!!!!! LOL We went and got the new tags for the truck and car and while there got our DL renewed!!! Grand total...$177.50!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! Glad that only happens once every four years!!! LOL But we both look great in our new photos so we are happy and NO MORE explaining that the address is wrong on the license!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now to figure out what to do for Rick's birthday...already bought the truck box cover for him just before vacation...told him THAT was for his birthday. Also Saturday is Sweetest day...sighs........another WTH do I get him????? CRAP!!!!!! I am going to BINGO Saturday night no matter what!!! LOL Need to replenish that check book!!! LOL Hope I win!!!! LOL

Tonight on TV is Christly Knows Best on USA channel. OMG I love that show!!! FUNNY!!!!

Nothing happening around here...getting cooler out so the Funny Farm is laying low...FINALLY!!!

Bandit is wanting to go potty walking...sooooooooooo need to go NOW!!!!!!

Well the movers showed up promptly at 815 and were gone by 1. I'm exhausted just from watching these guys unload and checking off numbers. So now the fun begins, but for the remainder of the day I'm resting.

vickie- looks like you got the necessary permits for the sale. I'm going to save the site for future use.

Kathy hope your surgery went well and that you're headed home.

Carla hope they got the mesh out with the scope and that you go back to vinnie tomorrow.

Connie rest and rebuild after the pain flare.

Eileen hope the IBS gets under control.

Mary congrats on the walking. Even shorts walks help. I'm anxious to start teaching water fitness again starting next week.

Judy I can relate on the DL thing. Mine is current but I haven't changed address on credit cards etc... So systems tilt until I get everything straightened out.
