Tuesday update
Connie, I'm sorry you're dealing with such pain - it just drains the energy out of you. I got a phone call from my missing neighbor this morning. I haven't seen her for three weeks, and once before she had to stay with her Mom because she was in so much pain. She has been getting chemotherapy for several months, and had a bulging disc in her back. Her back pain was becoming worse and worse, and she was in agony. She was going for all sorts of tests, including X-rays and MRIs. Turns out it's from the chemo. She went to her doctor three weeks ago, he took one look at her and had her admitted to the hospital. She had two fractures in her back, and they did a procedure where they "filled" her vertebrae/back with something. While healing, they took more x-rays and discovered she had sustained two more fractures while in the hospital, doing nothing. So the opinion is it's from the chemo. Now she has to have another procedure on those two fractures, and they have to figure out what to do to prevent future fractures. She wants to come home after that, and then she'll have to have arrangements made for a visiting nurse, a housekeeper, etc. Like you, she's a wonderful woman - I'm so sorry she and you suffer so much pain - you don't deserve it!!

Hello Mary....thank you for the good thoughts. You are so sweet!!
The last few days have been really hard....I am praying the weather changes an I can feel better.
I am so sorry about your friend. How awful the pain must have been for her and still is. I have chronic neck and back pain. Among many other things. I just keep praying that things will get better.
I keep you in my thoughts and prayers every day.
I hope each day you will feel a little stronger and the grief and depression eases.
I have been in too much pain to get those things together that we talked about. Hopefully later in the week I can work on it.
I love you our sweet Mary!!!
More love and many hugs to you...connie d
Vickie, I was so lucky when my Mom moved in with me -- I was working full-time and I had friend who used to drive vans taking mentally challenged adults to a vocational center. She had just quit that job, and when Mom came, my friend came and took care of her during the day - we paid her from Mom's Social Security. The two of them got along fabulously - when I came home, supper was ready, shopping was done, laundry was done, etc. It worked out great because I only had to "care" for Mom in the evenings and weekends, so it wasn't overwhelming for me. I'm sure if I had to deal with it full-time, I would have been stressed out too. Would she be agreeable to going to a Senior Center once or twice a week, having a van pick her up? That would be good for both of you.
I love Garage Sales and Yard Sales -- they're even better than going to the Salvation Army!! Wish I lived near your neck of the woods!

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
I'm so tired today. I forced myself to get up at 8 a.m. and go to the Y for my arthritis water class. I'm glad I did, because I enjoyed it, but I'm also so tired. Stopped at Walmart for a couple of things, then came home, started laundry and had lunch. Put the ballgame on and tried to nap, but the dryer buzzer went off and woke me up. So I didn't get much sleep. My brother is snoozing away in his recliner. He's cooking dinner tonight: brat burgers, salad and tater tots.
Last night was another late night at work. Wound up working til nearly midnight because of a late ballgame. Dodgers-Mets game started early enough but the pitching was so lousy it went on and on. If the game ends up late tonight, I don't care because I'm not working.
Vickie, I hope you don't have problems with your HOA; when I owned my condo, I couldn't even have a moving sale without paying an exorbitant fee and following lots of rules. That HOA had lots of rules on everything. Good luck.
Carla, good luck with your surgery.
I have some pain today, but mostly fatigue. I'm just really tired. And I have a headache that won't go away. Got an icepack on my neck and it's still hurting (and yes, I've taken drugs). I just need to sleep, but my body isn't letting me do that yet.
Anyway, I can't remember anything right now. Too tired. Have a good day.
Hello Eileen...just a quick hello. I am in too much pain to do anymore posting.
I am glad you made it to the YMCA. You are lucky to have one near you. Sorry your nap was all messed up.
It is nice that you and Gary take turns cooking. Does he have any really good recipes?
Sorry you had to work so late last night. It is great that you have today and tomorrow off!
Sorry about your fatigue and pain. Mine is so bad right now I need to go.
Have a great evening...love you...HUGS.....connie d
Good evening Vickie and OFF-
Well I landed about 130. Dumped the cat and headed to Walmart to pick up a few things. On the way there I passed an accident and stopped to help.
This is woman was hysterically crying over a young man on the side of the road. I thought it was a seizure of some sort. Troopers were there and helping the young man. Apparently the young man fell out of his mothers car while trying to shut the door properly. Definitely head trauma and I was trying to calm mom down before we had to treat her for heart failure.
the moving company driver called this morning. He'll be here tomorrow at 8. It's real ladies, I've moved. My friend came over tonight with her God children and helped me unload the car. Another friend is coming tomorrow to help me check things off as they come off the truck.
Vickie hope the garage sale is a go. Wish I could be there to help even if it was to distract mom. Carla good luck with your procedure tomorrow. I wouldn't have handled two two year olds. I don't think you'll have trouble sleeping. Connie I hope the front has pushed through and that your pain levels will drop. Mary glad your neighbor was found, sad that her chemo is causing fractures. Cancer sucks as we all know. Belated happy thanksgiving Jennifer. I missed your Thanksgiving this year. Arlene I liked the photo you posted today. Cindy P sounds like they should have used stainless clips. Hope the roofing company responds. Definitely report them to BBB.
Well ladies I have to go label the rooms and shuffle things out of the way for tomorrow. thoughts and hugs to all that need them.
Cindi B
Cindi B., yes -- if stainless had been available we wouldn't be having this issue now. I'm just not sure whether or not stainless was available in this type fastener 13 years ago. I hope the roofing company responds as I don't want to have to report them to the BBB because we need to work with them to get our issue resolved BUT if they don't contact me soon, I will report them.
Yay! Your move is just shy of completion. I'm thankful you have friends in TX to help you unload your car and help you keep track of your belongings as they are unloaded off the truck tomorrow.
Is Sylvester doing OK in his new surroundings?
