Tuesday update
Mary, as our house ages (it's 13 years old now), we are finding more and more things that are rusting as a result of being so close to the ocean. We recently had some other fasteners replaced (not roofing fasteners -- that is a "new" issue for us) and found that when our house was built, stainless fasteners weren't available. I'm interested to find out what the roofing company has to say. The roof inspector told us that we should call the roofing material manufacturer and that they would also be getting in touch with them. However, we haven't heard anything since the 9/25 inspection (although we were out of town from October 6-10). So, I'm chomping at the bit.
We will pursue the matter that's for sure.

I agree....if that roofing company doesn't contact you soon call the BBB....hopefully they can give you some answers. I will be praying about this.
You will get the floors done. If you are too tired today they will still be there tomorrow!!

Thank you for your prayers regarding our roof situation. I'm sure it will eventually get resolved. I was hoping for sooner rather than later as the bad weather is going to start very soon. Was hoping to get new fasteners before we start getting heavy winds.
It's good to be back. I missed everyone while I was gone.

Hello All:
Posted a long email yesterday , then my screen froze as I corrected typos, and I lost it. Too discouraged to repost.
Had been saying that whatever affected my tablet, it seemed to have healed itself and OH now recognized me as well as other sites with suddenly remembered passwords, so thought everything was fine again....the screenfreezing happens on other sites, so not much maligned OH fault.
Hope Kathy is fibe after her surgery and posts soon.
We had our Thanksgiving yesterday, in Canada is a month earlier because of shorter growing season...I've had 2 turkey dinners this past weekend and gave yesterday's leftovers away as am turkey'd out, think my dinner for out of town friends yesterday was better than the one I was invited to the day before, I like my own cooking best! So glad I have restriction from RNY or I'd be walking around fat and bloated and several pounds heavier today, full of regrets from overeating.

I hope you had a good holiday....you sure had plenty of turkey!! I agree so much of Thanksgiving dinner I prefer my own. Both my daughters are excellent cooks. They do cook very much the same as I do and my mother before me. Not all meals but quite a few.
Sorry about your computer. Mine kept doing that and finally it just quit working. Now I just have my Apple laptop. I love it!! Good luck with yours, I hope you can get it figured out.

OMG! I am about to pull my hair out! Mom and I are in the garage, trying to organize and price things for the garage sale. Every effin' time I turn around, she's trying to do something with my stuff. Good God almighty! She needs to leave my stuff alone and just deal with her OWN stuff! If she asks me one more time, "What do you want to do with this?" I think I shall scream. Half the **** out in that garage is HERS. DEAL WITH YOUR OWN STUFF, MOM!!!

Vickie....I hope all goes well with the HOA and you can have your garage sale. Here in MN I have friends that live in areas similar to yours. They can only have sales at a designated time. Usually in the spring. Then all homes there can have them. It is only like two days and always on a weekend. I hope yours isn't so picky. The HOA here says it is taking away from looks of the area and the don't like all the extra traffic...good grief!
The pups will look and feel so much better after they're groomed.
I hope you computer doesn't blow up!!! Hope you can get it fixed or buy a new one soon. Remember to delete all your info from the old one.
Hope you can manage some comforting time for yourself today.

I hope our dear Kathy is doing okay. She must have felt so bad having to extend the time for her surgery. Maybe it was God's way of stopping her for somer reason yesterday. We never know. Anyway she will be having tomorrow and that is great!! I am still praying for her!!
As for me..I almost got up and cut my hand off in the middle of the night. The pain was so awful. I put more Voltaren Cream on it and took a 1/2 a Vicodin and finally fell asleep!
A couple hours later I heard a crash in my kitchen. It scared the hell out of me!! The cover to the small florescent light over my sink fell off, crashed to the sink, and bounced off. It was in the middle of the kitchen floor. I will have to fill out a maintenance repair form. I can't climb up there and put it on. I don't do heights anymore.
My Fran my errand/ driver lady will be here soon. I need to finish up for now. I will check in again later!!
