It's Monday

Oh Connie, hope all is well. I wi**** were cold here in Southeast FL. Actually, We are a bit south of east central FL in Port St Lucie. The weather just cooled off from unbearably hot to "oh my God, I feel the temperature's come down by ten degrees." LOL. Thank goodness for October in FL.

I know this is going to shock everyone, but I am working from home today. Last night, I made me a cashew butter sandwich and had a major allergic reaction...ended up in the hospital for five hours and found out that cashew butter can and sometimes does have peanuts in it...so when I got home, I got the magnifying glass out and read the ingredients and in the bottom in small, very small, letters was the allergy warning: this product may have peanut oil, peanuts, in it or peanut dust....there goes my only enjoyment in life....

Anyway, at the hospital, they intubated me and my throat is so sore from having that tube down for four of the five hours and then all the epinephrine is still making me very shaky so I stayed home and am connecting distantly to my office pc...not optimal but okay.

I am going to try and upload my phone pictures to my macbook and then onto here so you guys can see some of my projects that I do.

Vic, since my mother died when I was a child, I cannot imagine how hard watching your mom get so old and dealing with it must be. When I last saw my mother, she was 45. I do have one aunt left and she is 91 and probably more active than I. LOL. She and her husband bought out tuna boats years ago and once a year, she goes on the tuna boats to get her own freezer filled with the good tuna and she smokes a few and sends to me. They are delicious.

Well, I know very little today other than our trees are finally turning and the sugar maples leaves have a hint of yellow and red so by the end of the week, they will be perfect.

Hope you are feeling better after your allergy attack. Companies should be much more careful with their labeling because so many people have allergies to peanuts. I so miss the changing seasons down here in FL. Sending hugs and love your way.

Hello Jeannie....so sorry you had a allergic reaction last night. You sure won't be eating that again!!! I am glad you are okay now, for the most part. I hope your throat feels better soon.

I would love to see some of the things you have made. I will be watching for it!

Smoked Tuna...sounds good!! I have had a lot of fish smoked but never tuna. I love fresh tuna, especially grilled! Lucky you!!

The leaves around here are turning quickly too. I wish we could have way more Fall and only about a month of winter! I am just stuck here...no money to travel where it is warm. I would love that over the coldest months. Such a beautiful dream>

Afternoon....OK short and sweet...Day from HELL!!!!! The two sisters with fleas...called the cops on me!!! Not sure why...only that Terminix was here and neither one would let him in!!!!! He said ok and left...one told him that would "kill" her the other one said her sister was to sick to leave her alone....yeah ok...next thing I hear on the scanner is to go to one of their apartments because of "problem with landlord" WTH?????????? I never even spoke to them today or several days for that matter!!!! I called my boss and told her what happened...she said if police come to see me SHE wants to talk to them and SHE will tell them how WHACKO they are!!!!! Well police went to their apartment and left...said civil matter no report needed and left. Wonder what they told him??? Called my boss back and told her...she told me to stay away from them both...no problem!!!!! They are out of here end of November!!!!!! I hope so!!!!!!! I have this feeling we WILL go to court to have them thrown out!!!!!!!

OK that's me news...out of here and back to playing my games and calming down!!!!!!!

Hello Judy....I had to check to see if you posted. You said I wouldn't believe what happened today. You are right...they are WHACKO's!!! Some people don't realize how good they got it. You are probably right about going to court. You better go soon because the courts won't make them move in the winter if they are in such bad shape!!

They seem just disgusting to me. You will have to fumigate when they leave before anyone can even go in and clean. YUCK!!!!!

I have worked with so many people of all ages with all kinds of disabilities. I did that for many years. I never came across any like the ones you have there. My clients wanted the help!! They followed all the rules and tried to learn to live better lives. They were always so grateful for everything we did for them.

I definitely think you have already earned your wings!!! You are way ahead of them that is for sure.

Connie...I forgot to mention that they also called the post off ice to report me on saying I told the mail carrier to STOP delivering their mail to them!!! WTH??????? The mail lady got a call from the postmaster and he asked her if this was true...she said NO!!!!!!! I never told her to stop!!!!!! WTF???????????????? SMH!!!!!!!!!!! WHACKOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies.

Haven't read the posts yet - very bad day, so, so depressed. Miserable night sleep because I thought I took my pain meds, but did not so I tossed and turned; got up to take dog out then slept in recliner until 10:00; felt so depressed I just couldn't "talk myself out of it"; took two Xanax so I could sleep my wat through it (I know - bad idea); got up at 6:00 and within a minute dog peed on floor right in front of me in the living room - right near the front door - didn't give any signs of wanting to go out; now I'm up - not as down, but still down. I know all the things I should do or could have done: I could have called my friend down the street and went to visit her; could have gone for a drive; could have gone to the store to pick up the blinds I want to get; etc., etc., etc. I hate being alone, but I don't take the steps to not be alone. Even though Jim spent most of the time in bed, he was still there and we'd talk throughout the day. Maura calls me almost every day, but I don't see her a lot. I did spend yesterday at her house, and this week=end I'm going to have Taylor which will be wonderful....but day-to-day stinks right now. I have an appointment Wednesday to see my doctor's nurse - and I'm going to talk to her about having the doctor increase my anti-depressant or give me something stronger. It's no good the way it's going.

Did go online for a while - found new website: http://www.bariatriceating.com/ Ordered pumkin pie protein powder. Has lots of interesting articles/recipes, etc. So I guess that's one good thing.

Mary, if ever you are down or depressed or just need to talk, you can call me (although I work evenings ... but if I can't talk, I'll let you know). Plus, I'm up late, so if you can't sleep, call. Don't feel you're all alone. I'll PM you my phone number.

I have bought stuff from bariatriceating; they have good products, although a little expensive.
