Saturday!!
Good morning/afternoon Mary...sorry you won't have Taylor this weekend.
I hope you managed to get some help with what to do for your puppy and his potty times. Have you gone online to check out Petco or other pet stores?? How about Animal Hospitals. I hope you find some good treats for him as well. I remember we used IAMs for our dogs. It costs a little more but is so good for them.
I cleaned out my freezers a few days ago too. I now have things in the order I want them in. Easy to find anything. My chest freezer was a mess as some of it was Pam's. I haven't heard or spoken with her since the end of March. I don't want to either!! I gave her things to my granddaughters. They don't know it was hers.
You take a little break now and then....don't overdo and hurt yourself. Tomorrow is another day!!
As for me.... I had a kind of busy morning. A friend down the hall stopped in. She needed someone to talk to. Some family things. After she left I made a turkey and tomato lettuce wrap. I had a plum and it was so good! Now I am finally back!
I spoke with Nic last night. He will be in northern MN today. He is with his Forestry Class from ISU. There are 20+ students. They are way up NORTH! They will be there for 3 weeks. Knowing Nic he will have a great time!! I won't see him because they all rode up in large vans. No one could drive themselves. Last night he was at the High School Homecoming Football Game. He was working at his firefighter job. They had the big truck there. They were watching over the crowd for anything going wrong. There were police officers there too. Things can turn ugly in a minute at those things. It isn't the kids so much as the parents...good grief the things they do!! They take those games way to seriously.
I am going to go out for a walk now. I will be back in a little while.
Prayers for all our loving OFF Family and their families.
Love and lots of hugs to all...connie d
Good evening Mary and OFF!
made it to Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania today. Drive wasn't bad cloudy most of the way with drizzle the last 20 miles.
Had ad a good visit with my PCP this morning. Got my flu shot in one arm and blood work in other. We chAtted about ways to get my weight back down. My brother lost forty pounds by taking metformin. My PCP said they have seen 10% weight loss with it in studies. There are also some new drugs coming out that reduce cravings. He said he'd work with me on the metformin as long as I committed to getting doctor in Texas within. 2 months. I decided not to at this time, want to get back in pool and onto mindful eating again. I've been with this doctor for 20 years and he supported my WLS surgery.
The worst part of my biannual migration is the drive from NH to the Taconic Pkwy in NY. These CT drivers are nuts. Throw in some NY drivers and it's stressful.
Christine I loved you non scale victory moment story about your husband not recognizing you.
Cindy P glad your husband switched to your new PCP.
Mary I'm going to try yogurt when I get to Texas. I have a young friend who makes it for her sons all the time.
Connie I can relate about hands hurting. My thumbs are really getting painful. Doc and I chatted about that today.
Judy got it about FB versus OFF. I blew it a month or so ago with Vickie and little Pita. It's hard to keep everything straight but I'll try.
well that's all ladies. Tomorrow Roanoke Virginia or there abouts. Will depend on the weather again. Haven't even looked at weather yet.
Hugs and thoughts going out to all of you.
Cindi B
Hi Cindy,
I know exactly where you are, because that is where my Mom has lived since 1990, where she grew up and met my Dad, and got married, and where I spent a summer in my teens, and where all my cousins, aunts and uncles lived when I was little. Sorry the weather sucks, because the mountains can be beautiful this time of year. Where is your next stop going to be?
Love ya.

Cindi B., you've made good travel progress. How is Sylvester holding up? I'm glad you're finished driving for the day.
Your PCP sounds like a wonderful, supportive doctor. I hope you have as good a luck in TX. I'm sure you'll get recommendations from your TX friends as to who is good, etc.
I think hubby is relieved about the PCP situation. It was very stressful to deal with the old one every month for meds because he has a chip on his shoulder and zero bedside manner. Well, that's behind us now.
Safe travels tomorrow.
Cindy P.
Good Evening Mary and OFF,
I am finally home, after a long, informative, fun day at the Relay for Life Fall Conference. Relayers from all over Michigan gathered in Grand Rapids and learned ways to make Relay 2016 the best ever. I'm pooped. My new profile picture is from this morning. Our theme is Paint the World Purple, purple being the color T-shirt survivors wear at Relays.
One of our speakers was an 11 year old cancer survivor, who was diagnosed at the age of two with stage 4 neuroblastoma. The survival rate for that is minimal. He was eloquent.
After three workshops, and a yummy lunch, we had a painting session, and I posted my painting on my Timeline.
I learned a ton of stuff about research, and all the services that the American Cancer Society offer cancer patients.
My poor daughter, and her in-laws are being rained on at the campground. Plus, the high today was like 48 degrees. Brrrr.
Back home, my niece's mother-in-law hosted a Baby Sprinkle. A small tea to give the new baby girl stuff, coz my niece's first baby is a boy. Erin, my niece, will be having her C-section on Tuesday. I am so thrilled that she is having a girl. Boys are fun, but in the Reillys, for the boys have always outnumbered the girls. Erin and Colleen were the only girl cousins, while her brother, Neil, and my Chris and Sean outnumbered them. Colleen is the oldest, and Erin is the youngest. Now, Izzy will have a little girl to play with back East.
Love and Prayers,
Trish
