Saturday!!

Morning Ladies!

Got up early to take the puppy out. Was going to go back to bed, but that didn't work out. Don't have much planned for today. Joe is off from work so Maura says they're going to have some "family time" because Joe works most weekends.

Weather is rainy and cold, so I guess I'll do some more sorting and stay inside where it's warm. Also, going to work on cleaning out the freezer so I can find things. I know I have a few links of Italian sausage and I wanted to have some for breakfast and I couldn't find them! Time to get busy with that!

Good Morning, Mary. I woke up with a terrible leg cramp. Put heat on it and that helped some. I just drank 1/4 c tonic water which is what hubby's dr. told him to do. Hoping that helps.

By the way, you may remember when I posted about hubby's dr. treating him so poorly with regard to his migraine pain med. Hubby was trying to decide what to do. Can't go through what he's been through every month when the prescription needs to be written. Well, anyway, I had my PCP appointment last week and I really liked her. We switched hubby to her care. He doesn't see her until mid-November but the medical practice assures us he will be able to get his November migraine meds with no problem. We both feel good about this change. I'm glad we did it.

Mary, I saw your Kitchen Korner post. What a good idea. I've made homemade yogurt as well. It is pretty good.

Well, I'm going to relax and sip my tea. Hope you all have a good day today.

Hello Cindy...sorry it took me so long to get back to you today. My quiet day has been anything but!!

I walked and then I had a neighbor over for quite awhile. She was having a bad day. Then I went out and worked on the puzzle because nice people were out there!! We could visit and relax!!

I am taking forever to reply here because my hands are really bad today.

Did the tonic water help with those leg cramps you had this morning?

I am so glad your hubby is finally rid of that other doctor. Your doctor seemed so caring and helpful. I hope Ron feels the same way after his appointment. He might not have as many migraine headaches if he doesn't have to stress about that doctor and his meds!! I will be praying for both of you.

I think the yogurt sounds good too...I won't be making it. I will let my daughter Jamie know about it. They love yogurt!!

I am going to RELAX and sip my Crystal Light peach tea!! I will get on Netflex and watch a couple movies.

I will chat when you have time. I know tomorrow will be a very busy day for you and Ron.

Connie, I'm sorry your hands are really hurting today. Did you end up doing a hot wax treatment?

The tonic water did help with the leg cramp this morning.

I hope you're having a relaxing evening watching movies and that the pain in your hands has eased up.

I'm bushed. I know that if I were to lay down, I'd go to sleep. I'd love to nap but I don't dare!

I can tell Ron is relieved about the PCP situation. He talked to my PCP on the phone and she was much nicer to him than the other guy. I know he would have preferred a male doctor but sometimes having a doctor of the opposite sex can't be helped. This was one of those times.

Hello Ladies,

DH is having his cornea transplant next week so today, I am getting everything sanitized. I need to dust every corner of this house so when we get home, everything will be nice and clean. Plus, I am taking all of our winter bedding down to the big laundry place to get all my heavy bedding washed. I'll put them in plastic bags until we get home. We are expecting a cold front so I want the bedding to be as clean as possible. And, I am going to do some cooking for him for the week after. I will be at work during the day and he will need to have stuff he can heat up in the microwave. Anyway, my day today is all work and no play.

We are running the grandkids to the mall to buy them new winter coats, gloves, and boots. And, we are getting them new underwear and socks.

Here's the deal, we live in a little apartment (we are about to move), so it is understandable that we do expect the nuisances that occur because of this communal living. But, we have new neighbors to the right of us and they are not the typical people who live here, and I don't mean to be a snob, but our complex is filled with graduate students, international faculty, and some retirees. This family act like they just walked off of Honey Boo Boo's set. They are gross and nasty and they sit on their little porch and smoke all day long and of course it drifts into my apartment and makes me ill. Plus, they are loud and obnoxious. I have not said anything to them or our landlord because really, this is a smoke free complex but everyone else smokes outside but not near other's doors. Most folks go to the little park that is filled with grills and tables to smoke and to walk their dogs. Anyway, this family is really ******g me off and I need to say something to them before it festers and I really turn into this horrible person. My granddaughter just said, nana, I smell smoke...well, it's actually tobacco burning. LOL.

That's pretty much my morning so far. I have some chicken in the crock pot to divide into a few different meals for after surgery and tonight, I'm letting the kids make home made pizza. We have the dough rising now.

Hello Jeannie....I am so happy to see that your hubby is getting his cornea transplant! I remember he wasn't following the rules and eating sugar. Maybe you standing up to him and letting him know what your plans were was enough to stop him!! I hope everything goes well with the surgery and the recovery!

You have a lot of work you will be doing this weekend!!! All that dusting...ugh!! Then washing your winter bedding. That can be so tiring! Rest as you can.

You are so wonderful to your grandchildren. Always being sure they have clean and nice things. Sadly...they will need those coats and boots soon!

I agree with you about the smoking...time to speak up. It is necessary for your health to not be around smoking. Plus, it just smells gross!! I wouldn't allow it.

You cook like I do. Planning meals ahead. I am cooking up a large pork roast. It has been in the crockpot all day. When it is done I will shred it and divide it up for BBQs or whatever. It can be an easy meal for when my grandkids are here or whoever. I am letting chicken thaw in the refrigerator. I will be doing the same with that tomorrow.

That homemade pizza sounds good too!!

Afternoon OFF family....

First of all I want to please say please refrain from mentioning what I say here on OFF about my complex on FB....I do have tenants that are on FB and CAN see what is posted. Thankyou!!

Second Rick is on FB and now he is friends with his mother!!!! CAREFUL what is said on FB also...again Thankyou!!!!!!

This weather is COLD here in Ohio and the winds are blowing...guess a tree came down on Rick's daughters house they are renting and her car also. Not sure yet how bad the damage is. I am sure Rick's mother will post pictures on FB?? Not sure. I really do not want to be her friend on FB if I do not have to...sighs.

The guy came to look over the area for snowplowing!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!! He is going to email the bid to me soon as he gets it priced out. I liked him a lot and hope he gives us a good deal!!!

Counting down the time til its time to go to BINGO tonight!!!! I am sooooooo looking forward to going!!! Tired of sitting home all the time doing nothing!!!

Also tonight is the monthly drawing at the VFW so keeping fingers crossed!!! I think its around $3500.00 maybe more?? Oh how I could use that money!!!!

Well back to my FB games...

Hello Judy....ok...no comments on FB....I understand...tenants and Rick's mom.

I hope you don't have to have his mom as a friend. Although, she or anyone that is a friend of Rick's can go to his site to get to yours or any of your friends. That is what I don't like about Facebook.

I am glad the snowplow man got back to you. He sounds better then last years guys already!
