I'm back.

So, last night was homecoming here.  Back home, we didn't have homecoming the way we do here.  Here, the parade is on Main Street, and the entire town comes out.  Plus, it's not just the high schoolers who participate.  Even the PTO at the Munchkins' school was in it.  Colleen, Izzy and Lincoln were on the back of a pick-up truck, along with other Moms and kids.  Plus, here, people in the parade throw candy to the kids watching.  Also, practically everyone wears a red shirt, because the school colors are red and white.  Needless to say, I never lived in a small town till now.

Well, I managed to twist my right foot yesterday.  I have pain practically everyday from the screw that was put in it when I broke it three years ago.  But, yesterday, I did something that has made it hurt even more.  It's not unbearable, just annoying.

I got most of the work done on my laptop yesterday, thanks to Sean.  I have one more thing to do to totally fix it.  Plus, I did most of the application for subbing.  I just have some online training modules to work on and it will be complete.  Then, I have to attend an orientation, and get fingerprinted.

I have more to do around here, but I have some errands to do.

Must scoot.

Love,

Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish...aren't those parades fun!! I love when the whole town gets in on things. It is like that in Iowa where Jamie lives. It is quite the day!! We do it here too but our town has gotten so big right now it just isn't quite the same anymore. I haven't been to a parade since I was living in Iowa a few years ago. I am sure your parade was a real hit too!!! I love to just sit back and watch all the people having fun!!

I am sorry you twisted that ankle again. If it keeps hurting you may need to see your doctor again. I think maybe you should wear high top shoes to hold your ankles in place. You seem to always hurt the same one.You must have weak ankles. I am not kidding about the shoes...well not much...LOL!!

I am glad Sean helped you get your computer fixed. Does he do the thing that lets him go to your computer from his? Nic has done that for me. If I have a problem he just jumps in and fixes it. We can chat while it is being done. When I need help from APPLE they can do the same thing. They can't get to my passwords or anything. It sure saves time!

It sounds like you are almost done with your application for subbing. That is great!! I hope it works out well for you.

Have a good day...keep off that ankle...ice it when you can.

Love you...HUGS....connie d

Hi Connie,

Thankfully, I didn't twist my ankle. It's the long bone that connects my baby toe to my heel. When I originally broke it, it split clear into two, with space in between. While the screw is small, it hurts practically every day. Yesterday I did something to make it hurt worse.

I love this little town.

Love ya

Hello everyone...today is such a beautiful sunshiny day!! The humidity is 92% right now. Temp is 63 degrees. I hope the humidity goes down so I can walk outside later.

As usual nothing planned for today. I am trying to finish a book I have been reading. Every time I think I will fini**** I fall asleep. This will take weeks to finish at this rate!! It is a good book and not boring so I don't know why I keep falling asleep.

Of course I will be coloring every chance I can get!!

I could continue to sort through some more files. I have been ignoring it lately!

Everyone have a beautiful day!!!

Prayers for all our loving OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need.

Much love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d

Good Morning Trish and OFF-

Your small town sounds nice if they turn out for Homecoming regardless of whether they are in HS or not.  I think that's great.  In Maine they have Homecoming and Alumni Associations.  Their Homecomings are in the spring and they have a gathering at the Alumni Association building.  It's more like people who have moved away come back for a visit.

Well today I've moved to Plan B.  The movers called yesterday and announced that they will be here Monday morning at 8.  No problem, I'm ready.  The PCP called this morning and can see me next Saturday.  So once the movers leave on Tuesday I'll stay here until Friday and then drive to NH so I can see the PCP on Saturday.  Then on to Mom's.

A little stiff and sore today from all the walking yesterday.  I am taking it slow and easy as I continue the final prep for the movers.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Thoughts and hugs to all of you.

Hello Cindi....wooooohoooo the movers are on the way!!! Monday is right around the corner!!

That is nice that you PCP can see you on Monday. That will work out well. You said you are then going to see your mother. That will be a good thing too.

In the mean time what do the movers do with your belongings? Can they just let the truck sit full for a week? Maybe you arranged for someone else to let the movers in and lock up when they are done. You are quite efficient!!

A little stiff today from walking the fair yesterday huh? Good idea...slow and easy....good plan for the weekend.

I am keeping you in my prayers. I pray the move goes well and that you have a safe trip to your new home. I am very excited for you!!!

Take care...much love and many hugs to you....connie d

Connie-

The movers are bringing a smaller truck to load my stuff onto to move to their warehouse in Brewer, Maine.  There is will be put on bigger truck when one becomes available.  So at the moment is Plan B which means they load Tuesday to move to Brewer, I'll leave Friday next to drive to NH, see doctor on Saturday.  If by some chance a truck becomes available next week then I'll just head to Texas and then go to Mom's.  I'm trying to remain flexible.

Hope your movers are better than my brother's. He's still waiting for his stuff and he just moved from Illinois to Indiana. They keep telling him they make the schedule out on Saturday, so they'll call him then. He's getting pissed at this company. Hope your move goes more smoothly.

Good morning Trish and Cindi and all my sistas!

Trish, before I forget, the website for that Mixed Bag fundraiser is--   http://www.mixedbagdesigns.com/Retail-Home?fundraiserid=456154.

At checkout on the Review/Submit Order Page double check that 456154 is in the "School/Fundraiser ID#" field. You can also enter Josh Kleiser in the "Referred By" field for him to receive credit.

This is a fundraiser for the River City Christian School.  They are trying to raise funds to build a gymnasium on their campus.  I'm working with them to get a grant for this project.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, Trish, I haven't been to a real parade in years.  Not since my kids were in school and participated in the various local parades.  Sounds like fun!  Sorry about your ankle though.  Owee.

Oh, Cindi, it's almost here!  Big doings with you this next week!  I am praying that the movers come and do a good job for you.  I've had good moves and bad moves over the years.  You just never know.  I'm sure you vetted these people thoroughly though.

Carrie arrived yesterday and Pita immediately began making her presence known.  Carrie announced that Pita wanted chipped beef gravy (we call it SOS) on toast and a pear/pecan salad.  She also said that she's been craving a bacon burger with PEANUT BUTTER on it.  Ooookay.  I can do that.  Maybe.  We'll see what Pita is in the mood for today.  LOL!

I didn't sleep all that well last night.  For one thing, Carrie and I have to share my bed (because Mom has both the guest bedrooms here for her living quarters), and that's odd for both of us.  Then the dogs all want on the bed.  And then I have the damn insomnia anyway.  So I'm draggin' a bit this morning.

Looking forward to a fun day with my crew though.  I hope everyone else has a really nice weekend, too.

Love you all!

 Vickie
