Mary,

All I can keep saying is how sorry I am about your loss! I really wish I lived nearby and could stop in to give you a hug! I am glad your brother brought some cheer to your day!

Hang in there and stay busy and focused. I think it is great you are doing well on your meal plan. Stressful times are when I tend to use food for comfort...

Good afternoon Vickie and everyone.....

Vickie....I am sorry your day yesterday didn't work out as you planned. At least you will have a little time today to sew. I know how much you love doing that! I always look so forward to seeing your finished design's.

I would have called those lawn guys back and told them to set the sprinklers back to where they were. They won't forget next time!! All you needed was something else to do!!

I am so sure the baby is feeling more real for Carrie all the time.  I will check out her Pinterest board soon!! I still agree that this will be a girl!!! Either way, it will be such an exciting time for her!! You too!! I can't wait to know for sure. I love your family and you too of course!!!

I am so glad you slept better!! I don't like hot tea. This wouldn't be a good choice for me! I just hope it continues to work so well for you!

Praying all goes well with your mammogram!!

As for me...... I went with my driver to run a couple errands and then to get groceries. I just love that lady. She used to be a english teacher at one of our Jr High Schools for years. We just click. I always look forward to my Tuesday's with Fran! She never schedules anyone else after me so we can do anything extra I might need to do.

I didn't think I was going to sleep well last night as I was so fidgety all day yesterday. I went to bed about 2:00AM. I woke up at 9:00. I did my morning stretches and then laid my head on my pillow. YUP....I woke up at 11:00...Oh My Goodness!! I actually felt rested. I did my morning routine and then went out for a walk. It was so beautiful outside. 68 degrees and the sun was shining brightly!! That felt wonderful!!

I did something really stupid. I saw a commercial in the last week showing glazed donuts. Yes, I did it...I bought one. I hadn't had one in at least 8 years. I ate about 1/2.  Not even 3 minutes later I got sick. My tummy hurt so bad. I laid down for about an hour. Now I feel good again. NO MORE DONUTS!!!!

I am so glad Eileen doesn't have a concussion!!

I will be back later to check in on new posts.

Sending prayers for our wonderful OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those requested.

Loads of love and tons of hugs to all....connie d

Connie,

Looks like you are feeling better! So glad to see you posting again regularly!

I used to drive my disabled clients everywhere back in the day when I did case management. Many were mentally challenged, had early dementia or serious medical issues that prevented them from doing things on their own. I LOVED that job and 'my people!' I had a couple favorites (shhhh...don't tell!) and like your lady would schedule them so they did not feel rushed or so we had time to stop for a soda or coffee! The small things mean a lot and I enjoyed their company very much. I still remain in contact with a few ladies. They were special!

I don't think I have heard you talking about taking your walk in a long while. I am happy you got out. I do believe the data that says exercise increases our endorphins and makes us feel better. Hopefully this weather will keep for awhile!

And ahhhh...donuts. I must confess we bought some when Lisa was here last week and I had 2 of my favorite...jelly! Part of why I felt like crap for almost a week. Not sick, but definitely sluggish from white sugar and loads of carbs. Just aren't worth it!

Take care!

Kathy

Hey Judy!

First, I wanted to say I was sorry you still aren't done with trying to figure out what is going on 'down there.' I think the ongoing testing is enough to drive one nuts.

Second, I did want to chime in about Connie's post (if you promise not to hit me!)

I agree about getting another opinion...from another cancer specialist. Is the doctor you referred to a gynecological oncologist?

You know I had very early stage uterine cancer? My regular gyno told me in 2000 my uterus was enlarged and the wall was thickening. He started with a 'wait and see' approach back then b/c my paps were clear and I had no symptoms.

In 2002 I began perimenopause with severe clotting and bleeding. I became anemic from my heavy and twice as long periods than what I had in the past. My paps continued to come back clean.

2004 I was still going thru this...he ordered more tests...uterus getting bigger and thicker, but pap clean and no signs of cancer.

However, in 2006 I had an abnormal pap for the 1st time in my life, but further testing (including biopsy) indicated nothing. I stopped my periods in 07. All was good & clear for 2 years, but I began spotting in 09 when my mother passed...pap back to normal - biopsy normal!

I passed one clot in 2012 after nothing since 09. Went in for biopsy, ultrasound, etc. Gyno called saying it was cancer & referred to gyno oncologist. He told me it was early...uterine cancer is VERY slow growing.

Anyhow, it is also estrogen fed, and even being slightly overweight increases the chances of female below the belt cancers. I now believe I probably had this cancer growing back in 02. If I had the knowledge I have now I would have asked for a hysterectomy in 06 when I had the abnormal PAP. Something was not right then, but I was relieved to hear the doctor say 'normal PAP...nothing showing up on ultrasound!' If you have ANY symptoms I'd get the hysterectomy. I had a radical and was back to work in 6 weeks. No problems...no complications EXCEPT fear of getting cancer again. Uterine cancer is pretty treatable...the others...vaginal, cervical, ovarian are more complex.

I don't say all this to scare you, but if I had a dime for every lady I spoke to with female cancer who said they wished they got a 2nd opinion from a specialist I'd be rich!

JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH!

Love ya!

Kathy

OK...will NOT hit you...lol

They will NOT do a hysterectomy if NO cancer is there. Period. Insurance will NOT pay for it. I have already asked. YES this Dr IS a Oncologist gyno. BEST one possible. I do not have any thing wrong but climbing atypical readings in my tests. Therefore Dr did the Laser surgery to nip it in the bud. I trust this Dr with my life.

HUGSSSSS

Hey Vickie!

Don't you just hate it when you get going on something and your schedule is such it just breaks up any consistent time to do it? I must be getting set in my ways b/c I really get pissed when I think I can get a project done and then get asked to do something, realize I have an appointment or something else comes up. Uhh!

Can't wait to find out if Pita is a girl. My daughter said Jazz was a girl the whole time she was pregnant and turned out to be right. I think you'd be pleased as bunch to have a little girl after 2 grandsons. They are so much more fun to dress up...lol!

Your post about the chamomile tea reminded me I took that after my hysterectomy and it helped me sleep thru the pain that first week. I hope this is the 'cure' that works for you!

P.S. Vickie!

I thought I had posted this under your original post from this morning, but obviously did not!

Another ugh! Double ugh!
