Cowboy up Monday
Hello Vickie....I agree with you I just can't live on a ground floor. Why do it. Carrie thinks it is really a wrong choice to make too. Thanks for caring!! If I did move to that area none of us would be more then 15 to 20 minutes away from each other. I need to look on a map and start getting on senior housing lists right away.
I always am happier when my family is here.
Carrie thinks I need to come down for a week. She can then take me around to look a some places. I probably will. They agreed to pack my things and help get settled in too. Jamie and the family could come and help too. Jamie is only about 3 hours from Carrie's house.
I need to try to sleep again...darn insomnia!
I love you too....connie d
Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
So glad you are getting to those taxes. I know they're a pain, but important to do. And the lawn guy, too. All the necessities.
Gary moved boxes of my stuff into the bedroom and is emptying other boxes so when his stuff finally arrives, there will be room for it. He's getting pissed with the movers. They won't give him a date. But the boxes are disappearing. Plus, he went over to the old place and got stuff out of the freezer, so we have a full freezer. He's more ambitious than I am. I just can't move because of my back. Hurts too much. I try to bend and just can't.
Oh, the front page I was in charge of last night made the top 10 of Newseum ... here it is: http//www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/?tfp_display=topten
then look for Evansville Courier & Press. It's the one with the Pope feature.
Got to get in the shower. Have a good day.
Hello Eileen....I can't believe the movers haven't delivered Gary's things yet. I think he needs to check out that company. That doesn't seem right. I have had movers for out of state moves many times. They were never more then one day off if that. Tell him to call the BBB. I would be pissed if I was him too!
It doesn't sound like your back pain is any better. What have you decided your next step will be?
It was nice of Gary to go get the freezer food. Why buy more when you had plenty there.
Hope tonight isn't too awful....in pain doesn't make it any easier.
I will look into the site you posted....congratulations to you!!!
Love you...hugs....connie d
Connie, I have an appointment with an orthopedic back specialist. He may not be able to do anything because of my scoliosis. I may look into seeing a neurosurgeon. My therapist had her surgery done by a neurosurgeon. I'll ask her who she used. I can't deal with this pain anymore. I started out the day with a vicodin and an ice pack and feel OK now.
I'm sorry you don't feel safe on the ground floor because of your rape. I guess I never knew about that. That would bother me, too. I have to do ground floor because of my knees, but always lock my windows and doors and sleep with them closed. Especially in my old neighborhood. I feel safer here. Not having nightmares anymore.
Hi again Eileen....I am so glad you are not having nightmares anymore. I think just being out of that apartment is making a difference already.
I hope you can get a name of a good neurosurgeon to relieve some of that pain! I am glad you have an appointment with an orthopedic back specialist. Hopefully he can give you a name of a neurosurgeon. If not your therapist probably can help you with that. Prayers on the way!
I shouldn't let it bother me about living on the ground floor. I just can't help it. I get so scared and agitated. Then I can't breathe and all that triggers other things...good grief!!
Love you girl....hugs.....connie d
Good Afternoon Vickie and OFF,
Vickie, I'm sure you will feel like a weight is lifted after the taxes are at the CPA's. I absolutely love the curtains, and wish I could hire you. The pic of the boys is adorable. They are such cuties.
Cindy, I hope you get to go to that organic fair on Friday. It's no wonder your back hurts. I know how mine felt when I was packing to move here.
Connie, I am so happy you had such a nice visit with the kids. I love when I spend time visiting with any of my kids. I still have some rearranging to do here.
This morning I finally got six teeth pulled. The first five were a breeze, but the sixth took twice as long as them. I'm just a little sore right now. We'll see how I feel tonight. In the meantime, I have an ample supply of soft foods, just like back when I was post-op.
I'm planning on staying in my rocking chair, and crocheting in a little while.
Hugs,
Trish

hi Connie.
I'm doing better than I thought I would. I'm just really tired.
The blanket I'm making is for my niece's baby due in October. I had started it during the summer, but took a break.
It's it's concentric squares in white and three shades of purple. I'll post a picture when it's done.
Love you
