A cool Sunday morning

Hi Ladies,

I came to the library to bring my books back and see if there is anything else I would liked to read.  I didnt care for the author of the books I checked out.  Yesterday I was under the weather, very tired and a sore throat.  I still have a sore throat today but not as bad and not tired. Hopefully it will go away soon.

This is a public service announcement. I've been hearing/seeing all the hype about WAYFAIR and their free shipping. So I bit. I ordered a bedspread. Yes, it shipped free. Yes, it came fast. And No, it was not the right color. I just got on-line to do the return thing. Are you freakin' kidding me??? Wayfair is going to charge me $30 to return an $80 bedspread!!! I will NEVER EVER order anything from WAYFAIR.COM again!!!

Vic...call and SPEAK TO SOME MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR!!!! It is NOT YOUR FAULT!!!!!!! DEMAND THEY PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick hello to all of you. I am on my way to Target to get toilet paper...TMI, but it is a necessity. I do these errands to get extra walking in. I'm doing ok. I went to see a movie yesterday, "A Walk In The Woods"...It was ok...but the book was one of my favorites so the movie just didn't do it justice. Smelling popcorn at the show is a special kind of torture. 

We are having some very serious fires in CA. They are close enough to me that I know people that live in that area. We are as dry as a tinderbox from this extended drought. I hope that the firefighters can get a handle on this before more tragedy happens. I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose your house  to a fire. Animals are set loose so that they can run from the fire. Such a mess.

I am going to take the day off. My depression is really at it's limit. I am not doing well. Please understand.

Sorry you are feeling depressed. Do you take any medication? If not, you should try, if you have not had negative results with it. It is a very painful disease.

Sorry you are depressed, Connie. I am dealing with a major fibro flare brought on by the antibiotics for the ingrown nail (and it's not getting better). I can't stay awake at work. I'm really fighting sleep tonight ... better than last night at least. Wish I could give you a big hug. 

Vicki, you are grieving. Since you are the strong one, the person there for your mother and daughters, I wish you had someone to help you handle the paperwork you don't want to handle. You're still a mom and a daughter, but you need care too. I really hope someone is around for you to LEAN on. xoxo Arlene

Went to church this morning - very nice service and went to coffee hour afterwards.  People were very nice and the pastor came over and spoke with me.  I'll probably go back next week, because I have to push myself to get up and out.

Vickie-- Our kids have to learn to stand on their own two feet; reality is we won't be around forever.  I try to help Maura out, but I can't do much because of my limited income.  She has student loans, and I agreed to co-sign on one -- it was very small, only about 3K, compared to her 12K.  When the loans became due, I told her for her graduation present, I would pay-off the small one -- it's $45/month and I've got it down to about $800 now.  But that's about all I can handle. You're right, when we do too much, our kids expect more from us and we have to draw the line.  In your current situation, you are right to draw the line.  (Not easy though!)

Connie - my dear friend, I'm so sorry you're suffering...it seems to be going on and on.  I hope you can find a resolution soon.  

Judy - I'm planning on making some "electronic" changes, and it scares the bejesus out of me!  Right now I've got Charter TV/Phone/Internet, and it costs a bundle.  I'm going to get rid of the cable tv and get an antenna and Netflix (and maybe Amazon Prime)  The antenna will cost about $75, and Netflix and Amazon Prime will be about $10 each per month.  I'm going to get an Ooma Phone and monthly fee will be about $10/month.  And that will just leave internet, which will be about $50/month.  So I'll go from about $240/month to $70/month.  I also have a cheap Trac Phone, which is for emergencies.  But I'm toying with the idea of some type of phone with internet access -- I need to learn more about that; my daughter lives on her phone and I know she gets the internet on it.  I definitely need advice.

I'd like to answer everyone, but my mind is not functioning well.......too much going on "up there". CRS.  Sorry.
