Sleepless in Michigan
Hello Jennifer....one of these days when I really have some me time. I will get a picture on here of my pixie cut!! My life has been a whirlwind. You would think I have plenty of time....not so true. My pain keeps me from doing more then one thing a day...well maybe two...depending on what it is. I am really disabled. I can't have a normal life. I am so worn down all the time. I have no energy to do anymore. I will work on a pic.
That is strange bout having to sign in all the time. I never do unless I completely shut the site down.
I hope you can get you health regulated. IBS and Diverticulitis is a nasty combination to have. I wish you all the best. I pray the news is good from you mammogram testing. Sorry you to have insomnia...there is a boat load of us having that issue!!
Your shoes sound beautiful. I am not now but I always wore at least 4 inch heels. Stilettos are my favorite!! I have a closet full!! I hope I can get back to feeling good so I can wear them now and then! Truthfully I don't think it will be happening!

As to your high heel shoe collection, maybe it's time to keep your fave few pairs to "wear while sitting" ( once saw a lady in a permanent wheelchair, but she wore elegant shoes she no longer could walk in), and maybe donate the other beauties to a charity like St.Vincents who will raise money by reselling them to new owners who will wear with pride. I've done that with my high heels, kept one glitzy evening pair of black silk stilettos with rhinestones which I sometimes wear when sitting at friends' but take off when I have to walk inside their home...."standing" joke as can't stand or walk in them so I get served drinks and eats "because SHE can't walk in those shoes, so take her a drink..." Oh, I arrive there in my usual ortho sandals and switch when sitting...I am ridiculous but vain, and remember the elegant lady in her wheelchair.

Hi, everyone. I am sitting here with an iced decaf skinny (sf/ff) latte reading posts on OFF and typing replies and smelling the batch of chili in the crockpot as it cooks. Our dog is in here with me napping.
It was very foggy earlier but it's starting to burn off now. There is a breeze and the air is cool.
I'm going to do some laundry as soon as there is sufficient ho****er -- hubby just got out of the shower and he practically drains the ho****er heater with every shower. However, he had a migraine today and sometimes taking a very hot shower is the only thing that will put it over the edge towards going away. So, I won't begrudge him the ho****er today!
I went to the post office to get the mail and each day I've been preparing myself to see a bill from our decking contractor. No bill so far today. All I can say is these folks (contractors) must have loads of money because we owe him a tidy sum and he finished up here on 8/31 and I guess I would have expected to find a bill from him by now. Now, our flooring contractor -- he billed us practically before the last work truck pulled out of our driveway to head back to his shop -- and we had to give him 1/2 down before he would start the work.
Well, I guess I'd best get to it. Hope you have a good day today.

Hello again Cindy....your iced latte sounds so wonderful. I miss getting out and going to my favorite Caribou and getting those wonderful drink, hot or cold. I hope your chili is wonderful!!
Sorry your hubby has so many migraines. If the hot showers help I say go for it!!
I wouldn't want to pay either of of those contractor bills...OUCH!!!

May I just say that grocery shopping with my mom is so aggravating, but sharing a pantry with her is IMPOSSIBLE!!! 
I really just wanted to tell y'all that Carrie heard the baby's heartbeat this morning and is so excited! The appointment to have the "big" sonogram to tell whether Pita is a boy or a girl is on Oct 1st. Just a few more weeks.
Also, Carrie sent me the cutest text asking for my white chili recipe. She said that Pita wanted it! LOL! That Pita surely is ruling the roost, right from the get-go.
I'm going to lie down for awhile. I know it is a mistake. If I fall asleep this afternoon, I will surely have problems sleeping tonight, but my brain just feels like it weighs a ton right now. I just HAVE to lay my head down; if I don't, it's going to fall off.
