Hello Julia...I think you will be fine now that you can eat eggs, veggies and fruit. I can't imagine not having those!!

WOW 107 degrees....that would wear me out!! I am glad you don't need to be out in it much.

Have a good evening....love and hugs...connie d

Good evening Cindy P and OFF-

I'm bringing up the rear today.  Went with a friend to Bangor so she could go to dermatologist.  Lord this was the first time I have ridden with her driving.  OMG  scared the you know what out of me.    I haven't been this nervous since I was in a taxi in China!  She drives a Ford Focus and drives fast.  The car needs tires and probably needs brakes too.  Anyway, next time, I'll suggest that I drive next time.

We left early so we could go to the health food store in Bangor and also to go out to lunch.  Then we went to her dermatology appointment.  She wanted to buy some protein powder and let me tell you they had a selection.  I suggested that she buy some packets of various kinds to see which one she liked.

On the way home from the doctor we stopped and bought fresh vegetables at the local farm stand.  I pick them up for one of my other neighbors.  Some of the Butternut squash had been on growth hormones.

And then home to safety.  I like the woman don't get me wrong but I'll need a tranquilizer if I ride with her again.

So yesterday I finished packing the books.  Nine boxes of books whi*****ludes cookbooks.  A couple more boxes and then I'm done until the movers come.

Sorry all of you are having trouble sleeping.  I use a variety of techniques when I can't sleep.  Sometimes I just get up and read a book.  When I'm really preoccupied with an issue I keep a notepad next to the bed and write things down when I wake up.  I also use yoga breathing and muscle contraction techniques to try to relax to go to sleep.  A friend of mine told me about tapping meditation where you tap your finger or hand while doing yoga breathing.  And as Kathy said Vickie your insomnia is related to your grieving.  Before I got my CPAP machine I had worse sleeping issues.

Nikki I recommend water exercise.  I am a certified water fitness instructor as a result of my surgery.  I needed exercise and my knees were bad.  I joined a water exercise class that ultimately led to me getting certified.  I can't wait to get back to the pool when I get to Texas.  Eileen, I like your therapist's idea to treat it like an appointment.  Once I started water fitness I never had trouble going to class of course my class was at the end of my work (volunteer) day so that's a bit easier.  The adjustment I had to make was to eat my major meal during midday and just having a protein shake after class.

And cuz I'm tired this evening I can't remember everyone's issues.  I'm going to close with I hugs and positive thoughts heading to each of you.
