Good Morning, I think it's Tuesday!!
Hi to all,
i am cleaning house a bit today...first time since surgery. I am still on a mostly liquid diet so I am missing my food. I am allowed yogurt and mashed potatoes but I'm mostly drinking blended soups and protein shakes. This is my chance to get under 200 pounds finally!
I have a friend coming this afternoon to visit. She is someone I worked with before I retired. She just wants to make sure I'm all right. It is good to have friends like that.
I have been watching Mad Men to try to catch up before the Emmy Awards. It is a good show.
It is hard to believe that Autumn is just around the corner. It's been a crazy and fast year.
I was scheduled to go on a scrapbooking week in Lake Tahoe this week but I had to cancel it. I am going to try to do some crafting in solidarity with all those women in Lake Tahoe who are soldiering on without me! I wish I was well enough to go but I just am not quite there yet.
Happy Tuesday to all of you. Welcome to the new members. My name is Julia and I am 61 years young. I retired from being a Language, Speech and Hearing Specialist last year. I worked in an elementary school. I had my surgery seven years ago and lost about 100 or more pounds but gained back a bit of it, maybe twenty pounds. A couple of weeks ago I had a complication, scar tissue, that made a revision of my surgery necessary. I'm recovering from that surgery now. Now I am starting over....hopefully for the last time. I have mixed feelings this time...not as much excitement about losing a lot, though I definitely have forty pounds to lose. I think it's that rebellious piece of me that wants what she wants WHEN she wants it.....ha!
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day!
