My Rant for the Day!

I will not comment on the race issue. But, IMHO, I would address the after school situation directly with the young lady/ladies parents. Maybe it could be as simple as limiting the number of days/week they "visit".
You seem like a genuinely kind and caring person that is being taken advantage of.
best of luck!
Thank you Suzanne.
I attempted to address the most recent situation w/the mom, but she does not appear to want to hear what I am saying. She attempted to run a guilt trip by saying she does not like having her daughter to come home to an empty house b/c 'someone may be watching & break in & attack her!'
I am thinking in my head 'not MY problem,' but I do not want anything to happen to her since in this day & age anything could...I do understand her fears.
My main complaint was the audacity of this dad making arrangements w/the 3rd mutual friend's mother for her to stay at OUR house AND of course never letting us know he had done this.
Neither of the parents 'get it!' Tonite the friend called Jazz to 'ask her' if the 3rd friend could come over to our house after school tomorrow b/c SHE was staying after for a club & would not be going home after school so the 3rd girl has no place to go.
I am really tempted to say something to the 3rd girls mother about the arrangement she made w/this dad & how he is handling it. But again, I don't now what the relationship is so it could spell trouble for Jazz if I said something. So I am buttoning my lip. This just won't happen w/another kid...should have nipped it in the bud years ago, but they were slick!

It's more social than political. I wonder how things became just about one race vs another when there are so many other races/cultures on the planet. It is a mental challenge for humans to carry around so much hate in their hearts, but this is why people can shoot one another unprovoked. In many cases, the more racist one is the more mentally they have to deal with so in turn they take their internal hatred out on others. All humans are racist but some have the good graciousness not to display their ugly in public.
The good news is is that all this hate is coming to an end! However, the bad news is that it's going to get a lot worst before it gets better. So prepare yourselves people!
My Mom never let us play at others' homes. These days you can't tell who is hiding some dark secret. Ready I think you should keep your baby Jazz close to you for various reasons. I question parents who allow their children to freely go to others homes. And even if the parents are 'safe' you do not know who they allow into their home or even if a family has a perv older brother because there are many of them! I also question parents who allow their children to walk various places BY THEMSELVES and then complain when a perv has taken their child. We all know we live in terrible times. I live in a gated community but no one is really safe especially our precious children PLEASE protect them all the time and do not argue with me that they need their freedom...I would rather hover as a parent then have a lifetime of a scarred molested child.
SkinnyBonz...long time...no hear! Hope all is going well.
I appreciate your feedback to my post. Having been down the road you describe we are very protective of Jazz. She has not rebelled yet, either. She seems to crave that security. There are offenders on the books all over the place. And then there are offenders who have not gotten caught yet. I don't want her subjected to that. It marks you for life.
I am becoming afraid of what the future holds for our country. Connie was so right when she said we are in big trouble. I cannot remember it ever being this bad, and most of us here are old enough to have lived thru a lot of bad times. But not like this...
Anyhow, I will stop at that. Thanks again for your feedback!
