Happy Labor Day y'all

Morning Ladies!!  Vickie, you're not the only one thinking today was Labor Day - I saw other references to the "Holiday weekend" and I was wondering what they were talking about, because I thought Labor Day was always the first Monday in September.  And when you don't "work" it's easy to get mixed up.  I constantly have to check my computer to see what the date is because I lose track.  

Well, won't be going in to see Jim today.  The tires on my car are so bad I'm afraid to make the drive in to the hospital - I have an appointment to get new tires tomorrow morning.  Jim won't miss me - I called the Nurse's Station and they report he is still "out of it".  At least he's not in Intensive Care.  The main problem with his disease is it causes confusion - Jim does not realize the importance of taking his medicine in his state of mind.  Glad he will be going to Rehab, that's for sure.

Vickie, I'm jealous of all the sewing you're doing.  I was lucky enough to find a used sewing machine, and I want to get some projects done -- a cover for my futon mattress, and also some new curtains.  I have to read up on the curtains though, because I want the type that rather than sliding the rod through a stitched hem, you slide it though those metal grommets -- don't know how to make the grommets, but I wouldn't think it would be too difficult.  I'll see, though.

Everyone else, I apologize - can't seem to focus my mind on anything else right now.  Figure I'll just do some "cleaning up" today.  I want to start going through all the "stuff" in the back room and try to get it organized -- Hope to be making some contributions to Salvation Army or other thrift stores in the area.

Updating my journal, and I'm trying to plan my menus.  Yesterday I bought some cheese, turkey, almonds to make my own Prtotein 3s...... they are so expensive.  Also saw a yogurt making machine at Salvation Army today...but I want to look up the recipe someone had posted for homemade yogurt first.

Hello Mary...we are all glad Jim will be going to rehab. He can have others helping him that are trained in doing so. If he is going to get well that is where he will do the best recovering. I am happy for you that you don't have to wear yourself out everyday. 

Sorry you need new tires. That is a costly replacement. I hope you have a place to go that will give you a good deal!! I am glad you are putting safety first!!

It is great that you are planning your menu's and eating healthy. That is the way to do it!! Good Luck!!

Mary, I am so glad Jim will be going to rehab.  You've done what you could for him.  I hope you'll be able to relax and worry less now that he'll be getting the care he really needs at this point.

Hello Vickie and everyone....I am sorry your summer has been such a blur. I will be glad to have it over with for your sake.

Sorry to say but you probably are getting arthritis in your hands. It all is too familiar to me. I think your stiffness and joint pain could be all the moving unpacking you have been doing. You do an awful lot in one day...most every day. Your finger could just be sore from the ripping and sewing you have been doing. I hope that is all it is.

Sorry about Christies Refrigerator clunking out. I thought all the appliances were new when they moved in...oh well maybe not. Christie at least is talking to you. How she can be so deathly ill one day and the next day she is all better. You may have to remind her of the story about "The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf"...LOL!!!!

Have a good time sewing!! I hope you can get the cushions done and then on to something you will enjoy more.

I am glad you are seeing your doctor tomorrow. I hope he can figure out how to get you sleeping more soundly and for longer periods of times.

Hi Ladies,

I came to the library today after running a few errands. I'm happy today that the scale is finally moving in the right direction even though I had pizza and candy.  My friend comes home in a couple weeks, I can't wait. At least I'll have someone to talk to.

OMG I had to stop and THINK LMAOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOO No Holiday today!!! Its NEXT week!!! Boy if I work one more holiday I am gonna be mad as all get out!!!!

Well had another tenant skip out!! Had her mother give us the keys today!! What a chicken ****!! Atleast that apartment was CLEAN!!!!!!!!! WOW!!! Not happy that we now have another unit empty though!!!

Have another county fair stating today...BUT...its too dang HOT and MUGGY to go!!! And it will be this way ALL WEEK!!!!!!!!! Guess we will not be going again to this fair...SAD!!!!!!!

Owner is in the area today...might be stopping in yet tonight. Would LOVE to see him!!! He loves how we run the complexes here and he is always praising us on what a great job we do!! But he may not stop not sure. Boss was here today...ready for this? Rick actually asked her if she had anything for his daughter to do!!!!!! I ABOUT ****!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! after she left I lit into his ass BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you all think of the president changing MT McKinley to Denali? OMG!!!!!!!!!! JERK!!!!!

So did anyone watch FEAR THE WALKING DEAD last night? What did you think? Me...its starting to get better...I will give it another week. But not on next week because of the holiday I guess and now we have a two week wait...grrrrrrrr.

Well need to get the mushrooms ready for the grill...steak and mushrooms tonight. YUMMMM

I cannot believe Rick asked about his daughter a job without discussing it with you.

All Obama and his administration did was changed the name back to Denali, because the indigenous people have been begging and lobbying for the change for years.   I think he did the right thing; my god, we have taken enough from the native Americans without denying them their language and their names of their mountains.
