Friday and Surgiversary
P.S. Fairly lousy day. I did go to the lake house and made a start. But I cried nearly the whole time I was there. A new neighbor came over to introduce himself and I had to tell him my husband died. Then another neighbor came by to offer condolences. I tell you, I'm not ready for contact with the outside world yet.
Chris did come out and help me for a few hours. We did make some progress. I worked in the kitchen and she did the hall bath and the hall closet. But I really need to go back for a few hours every day until I get it done. Not sure I'm that tough. I'll decide about tomorrow, tomorrow.
I'm going to try taking a long bubble bath, a melatonin, and an ambien tonight. I've just got to get some sleep. I'm so fuzzy-headed that nothing makes sense. And I'm sure my emotional meltdowns are due in part to being so sleep deprived.
Love you all. Special thanks to the ones who keep checking on me daily.

Hi Vickie....I sure hope the bath and the meds help. I a concerned about your lack of sleep.
I am glad Chris came over to help you at the lake house.
Just go hour by hour if that makes things easier. Don't try to take it all in at once. I know that can be easier said then done.
Love you...prayers ...hugs too....connie d
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Happy surgiversary, Trish. I've quit celebrating since I've regained. At least I've stopped regaining. No one's fault but my own. I'm glad you're getting help for your sinuses.
Carla, I'm glad you're feeling a lot better and healthy enough to get out of the hospital.
Aw, sweet Vickie, wish I could help you out of your pain. Not a physical pain, but a very real pain nonetheless. So much you have to go through by yourself. So sorry you are having trouble accessing social security, etc. My brother retired early this year and took his benefits early... he plans on getting a part-time job along with it because health insurance will cost so much. He just hated his job so much and needed to get out of the Chicago area. He, too, is 62.
As for me, I got up way too early today. No phone call, just got up at 8:30 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up. I guess I'll do some packing. I don't feel like it. Plus, I am getting a headache.
I was on hold with Vanguard for this new program offered by my company, "Partner with an expert," ... I was told I'd be on hold for less than two minutes. I just looked at the phone and it's been 10 minutes. I hung up and decided to do it online.
Tonight is another football Friday night. Which means all my stories will come in between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. Or later. Deadline is 11:30 p.m. Last week we missed deadline. It's a pain. Hate high school football season.
Anyway, that's all that's going on here. I need a nap.
Hello Eileen...sorry you woke up so early. You need your sleep when you have to work at night.
Packing...it just seems like it never ends!! Good luck, I hope you can get it finished up soon.
I hope you get better help from Vanguard with a message. They do leave people on the line a long time. You aren't the first person to tell me about them. I hope you get your answers soon.
I can see why you hate high school football. Sorry you miss your deadlines.
Love you...hugs...connie d
Connie, it was so much easier signing up online ... 3-4 steps and it was done. Then I tried to get into my account and couldn't remember my user name. So I had to call in to get it. Can't remember ****! I was able to get through to an operator very quickly that time. I think it's just this new program that takes too long.
Didn't get any packing done. After Gary left, I took a 45-minute nap. I'm still tired. Yawn ... it's going to be a long night.
Trish Happy Surgiversary Day.
Carla, I hope you are able to get in and get the revision done without delays. I had to have a revision to mine because my pouch ulcerated to pieces and they had to give me more small intestine for absorption. I had a tubefeeding for the longest time while they allowed my new pouch and the small intestine to recover from all of the trauma...I wanted to die. But now I am much better. The last time that I had any test done, about a year ago, the doctor said my stoma that empties into the small intestine is really small which explains why I graze so much....it takes forever for it to empty and he suggested getting it fixed but you know, I don't want to do anything that might set my stomach and pouch into ulcerations again. I hope they fix you up.
Vic, I know you are going to be miserable until you get all of this straightened out but try to keep in mind that there is a solution for you and it's just getting the right person in your corner and your accountant might be that person.
Connie and all the others to come, it's Friday....tomorrow is a sleep in day for us all....
