Thankfully Thursday: What's Up?
Hello Trish....I am so glad you have had more time with the munchkins!! Sorry about Frankie's runny nose. I hope he feels better soon.
I have the windows open again...the ragweed is killing me!! I so need some fresh air in here. I just took another Sudafed so I hope that helps. I had sinus pain all night last night. Nothing as bad as you have that is for sure. Just enough to be miserable. I hope you are feeling much better soon!
Love and hugs....connie d
Jeannie....Mother Nature hasn't been good to us in a long time. I hate not having the windows open!! It is 66 degrees ...humidity 94%. I have to have the A/C on!!!
Sorry you have to wear a mask all the time when you are outside. I really wouldn't like that..I love fresh air!!!
Have a good night sleep...love and hugs....connie d
Good afternoon Jeannie and OFF-
Jeannie the picture of men crocheting is foreign to me. I know that men do it as my grandfather used to crochet and tat to keep his hands limber when he wasn't drawing maps for the USGS. I have several handkerchiefs to which he added lace.
My grandmother crocheted a bedspread for me that I have never used. It's called a popcorn bedspread. I'm planning to use it when I get to Texas but will have to wa**** as it has yellowed in some areas. I've asked a neighbor to help me learn to crochet better so I can enlarge the bedspread if need be. My mother has a second bedspread that my grandmother crocheted for my brother but never finished. Mom has tried to make more squares but her tension is not even close to my grandmothers. So maybe if I become more proficient at crocheting my tension (gauge) will be closer to hers.
Eileen I'm worried about your fatigue but suspect depression or PTSD like Connie. Hope you get some energy soon.
Vickie- ((((((((((HUG))))))))) enough said. Hang in there!
Trish glad you had a good time with the munchkins and that you're able to do that.
Connie sounds like you're having a good day.
Today was the one on one session with the Deloitte consultant about the pension buyout program. Kinda of boring as they can't give any recommendations just education and make sure that you understand how to fill out the tools they provided. But it's down to leaving the money in the pension plan which is stable and having a guaranteed set amount each month that is also backed up by the government should the plan administrator go bankrupt. When I die my heirs get nothing. Or I can take the lump sum , roll it into an IRA to avoid taxes. Invest the money and hopefully see it grow. Should I die what's leftover goes to my heirs. I hate this stuff with a passion, but I'm leaning towards taking the risk and growing the money. But then I'll think about it some more and change my mind. My eating is out of control and Eileen if your baked ziti were here I would be taking it off your hands immediately.
Packed at least one box today but going to try to do a few more in the loft before the weather heats back up. Need to run to town sometime for more packing paper.
Other than that nothing else going on here in Maine today.
Thoughts and hugs for all of you!
Cindi B.
Hello Cindi...sounds like you have a lot to think about. I am glad you had some questions answered. I wish you the best making that decision.
My day is going okay. I ended up going with a friend to run an errand. It was so humid outside I wish I would have stayed home!! My sinuses don't want me outside either!! I am having a quiet evening and that is good. I got a couple phone calls but managed to keep them short.
Have a good evening...love and hugs...connie d
