Hi Jeannie and my OFF family:

I woke up with a headache this morning ... thanks to the rainy weather. Not moving well. I turned off the alarm at 8 a.m. and got up around 9 but still didn't feel well. Just feel lethargic and in a fog. Would love to call in sick but don't have enough sick days left to do so.

Yesterday I planned to do not much but I was busy all day cooking and baking. Made my chocolate zucchini cake, even though I didn't have baking soda in the house. Thanks to the Internet, I found that you can substitute 3x baking powder for the baking soda. The cake came out lovely. Also made baked ziti for dinner It makes a big portion, so I have a lot left. Later, when the handyman came over to finally fix my garbage disposal, I was telling him about my cooking and he said he loved baked ziti. I asked if he would like some. I gave him some for himself and his mom. The more I don't have at home, the less I have to freeze for later.

So today I have to go back to work. I'll need lots of caffeine. Too tired. Just dragging. I need a nap too. Off to the shower now to see if that will help get rid of my headache.

Eileen,

When I cook large amounts of food, I freeze it all up too but, like you, I'd rather not put too much in the freezer...it's a hassle.  It seems headaches are abounding on our board today...hope you are able to get rid of it.

Hello Elieen...I am so sorry you are still not feeling well. I think some of it is because you are in a Fibro fog. I know you drink enough water. You should contact your doctor again if you haven't. Have you been bitten of stung lately? Something is off. Maybe it is depression or PTSD. I am concerned about you.

You did do some baking yesterday. That zucchini bread sounds so good!! I am sure your maintenance man and his mom loved the Ziti. That was so nice of you to share with them.. I love Ziti too. Maybe you can share the recipe... if you don't mind.

I hope the shower felt good and that it took your headache away!!

Have a good evening...well as good as you can considering how you feel.

Much love and hugs.....connie d

Connie, I wound up not going to work after all. I took a nap after lunch and when I got up, I felt like I was going to throw up. I sat for awhile before I called in sick. I hated doing that because it was on such short notice, but it came on so suddenly. And then of course the headache came back. I'm just wiped out. I made a cup of peppermint tea and that seems to be helping.

I don't know what is driving this fatigue. I sure feel like I'm getting enough sleep. I don't feel depressed. PTSD? Gee, I don't know. We talked about it in my session on Tuesday.

Eileen-  Sorry you're sicker but happy that you stayed home.  If you don't feel better in the morning go to urgent care.  Could be a virus.  Cindi

I am glad you stayed home tonight. I didn't think you would make it a whole shift anyway.

Greetings Jeannie, and OFF,

I just got home from watching the Munchkins.  We had a great morning, minus Frankie's runny nose.  I also watched them last night, taking Izzy to her soccer practice, and playing on the playground.

I have some tidying and laundry to put away.

Vickie, the first year is the hardest.  Every month, every special day, is like Hell.  Hang in there.

Jeannie, I used to go to a knitting/crochet night all the time back in PA.  I want to get something started here.

Connie, I hope you feel better today.

Love and Hugs,

Trish

Trish,

I've always had a crochet night that I have friends over and we crochet...this group of men approached me a couple of years ago and I started them out learning the basics and now, two of them, are as good if not better at crocheting than I...well...they are getting there.   I love sitting around talking and crocheting...it just seems so natural.
