Monday Monday
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Well, my brother left this morning before I got up. He exhausts me sometimes. He already moved furniture around. He's constantly thinking of where to put things. Me, I just want my recliner in a clear view of the TV and an end table to put my coffee and water. Gary's thinking of where we'll put the couch and the china cabinet and the dining room table. We decided to take mom's china cabinet because no one else wanted it and mom was upset about that ... and it would be a good place to put my bobbleheads! Anyway, he has plans for this place before we get a better place.
We did have a nice time even though I had to work. I was in a lot of pain Saturday at work, which didn't help my mood at home Saturday. But I used the Voltaren gel and that has seemed to help a bit. I'm not in quite as much pain today, other than I have a headache. Woke up with it when my alarm went off at 8, so I went back to sleep and skipped the pool. Can't keep doing that. ... need the pool exercises.
Gary got the raven statue down from the top of the cabinet so I can send it back to youknow who ... I like the statue but don't want to see it up there because it reminds me too much of him. I want it all out of here. Gary moved all the stuff out of the spare bedroom (this is my stuff) so I have to go through it and either pitch it or donate it. That's my job for the next two weeks. Gary moves in Aug. 15.
Anyway, back to work tonight. Hopefully, it's easy. Have a good day.
Hello Eileen....your brother sounds like a mover and a shaker!! He is like me..when I want something done it is done!! He needs to remember that you are both I'm charge of where things will be. Not his chose alone anymore.
That china cabinet will be a great place for your bobbleheads!!
I am glad you had a nice time with Gary even though you did work part of the time. Time to pitch and donate!! At least he gathered it all together for you.
I use that Voltaren gel on my hands, especially my thumbs. It doesn't work 100% but it takes away quite a bit of the pain.
Have a good evening...isn't this your Friday???
Love you much...hugs...connie d
Trish and OFF Goodafternoon-
Trish excited for you testing the envelope and renting a cabin to be with your grandkids and daughter. I think you'll have fun. Take an oscillating fan and you'll be fine.
Eileen- I get you about your brother rearranging the apartment. All I care about is where the TV is and a table for drinks and laptop computer. I'm happy that your brother is coming to live with you. You're going to have some adjusting to do regarding sharing your space together. I hope that you set up a way of communicating regularly about your situation so it doesn't grow into anything large and unfixable. Glad you got rid of the raven.
Judy- Read about your trip. Where did Rick go to catch a King Salmon? Batchelor trip to Pacific northwest? Sorry your brother stressed you out and kept you away from visiting with your Mother. It does however sound like you had a nice week off and a fairly uneventful trip. When you hadn't posted anything I was beginning to worry about your sister.
Well I started the day intending to do my cleaning and then having a call with financial advisor. Unfortunately my neighbor from down the road dropped in unexpectedly and stayed for three hours. He's just lonely and frustrated. So I rushed to clean up and worked up a major sweat! Just got out of the shower which I scrubbed while showering and got a call from financial advisor having to cancel and reschedule until tomorrow. This is the third time this has happened. I'm wondering if she is having a health problem. So another day of wondering about what to do about the lump sum pension buy out offer.
No word from realtor yet on when he's going to show the house this week. He better.
So now I'm showered and don't want to get sweaty again because I'm going to dinner at a friends camp up the lake. Guess I'll sit and read for a while.
Hope everyone else is doing ok, you are all in my thoughts.
Cindi B.
Hello our sweet Cindi!!! Good idea...rest a bit!! You will be rested and ready to go to dinner at your friends place.
That neighbor must be lonely to have stayed that long. The poor guy! Does he stay there all year long? I can't imagine! It was sweet that you took the time to chat with him.
I am sorry the financial advisor canceled again. I would be asking her why. You have other things that you need to get finished too!! As for the realtor keep leaving messages. You need to plan ahead each day and need more then a moments notice!
Have a wonderful evening...love and hugs...connie d
Hello all!
I am home now and glad to be here. I just got up and threw on yesterday's clothes to drive home, so I'm thinking an afternoon bubble bath and a nice little lie-down are in order for me today.
So, Carrie wants to tell Mom about the baby next weekend, which is fine by me. It's certainly her news to tell. But Mom is peppering me with questions about the weekend and it's hard to avoid talking about it with her. So now she acts like I've hurt her feelings. Damn. This is a bumpy road with my mom for sure.
I promised to post a picture of the rocker/recliner I bought for Carrie, so here it is:
It's just the perfect size for the nursery--not too big and bulky like most recliners, and it's gray--just the color she wanted. I told her she will love it because after she rocks and feeds the baby, she can just kick the chair back and they can both nap together. Plus it has a high back. This is very important for comfort to tall people like us. I think it was an excellent find!
I have a lot to do this week. They are delivering my new china buffet on Friday, and also they will be picking up some of the furniture out of the garage (for resale at the consignment store). So I have lots of rearranging and restacking to do. Also, I need to call that damn furniture store in New Braunfels AGAIN about my new entertainment center for the big TV in the living room. They said the first week of August, but I haven't heard from them yet. If they ARE delivering it this week, I also have some rearranging and restacking to do in the living room.
And I've just really got to tackle some of the business end of things with social security and banking and investments and things this week. I've put it off long enough. Time to start dealing with it all.
But right now I'm going to bathe and change into clean clothes and lie down for a bit. Trish, have fun camping! Eileen, take a deep breath. It's hard adjusting to having a new roommate--I know! Mom and I are having several bumps in the road! Connie, I'm glad you are feeling better for a change. Keep that trend going! Cindy, sorry about the cancelled appointment with the financial person. I sure hope the realtor keeps that showing though. Glad to hear from Judy last night. Wow, what a week she had! Never a dull moment around here, huh? We may be Over Fifty, but we ain't ready for the rockin' chair yet! LOL!
Love you all!
Hello Vickie...I am happy to know you are home and safe once again. The bubble bath sounds heavenly!! Enjoy your nap!!
That rocker recliner is really, really nice. It seems to fit Carrie very well. I love the idea that she can recline and cuddle and nap with the baby. I think she will get a lot of use from that chair!! You did a good job finding that one!! Carrie looks so happy and content. You have such beautiful daughters!!
So your mom is a little put off huh? Well she will have to wait until Carrie comes on the weekend. She will get over it...I hope!! Sorry it is such a bumpy road with your mom.
I just got back from my Psychiatrist appointment. YES...I am still certifiably crazy!!! We had a nice chat. Then I was on my way.
I sure have missed you...I never did get back to you before you went to Carrie's. I just pray you are doing okay. You seem to be getting things done. I know that is what you need to do right now. God Bless you Vickie! I am always here for you!!
I hope that furniture place gets their things together and gets you the entertainment center soon. That is crazy that it has taken so long. I am glad the china buffet is coming on Friday. Then you can get your dishes put away!!
I can't blame you for taking some time for you and your girls. That paperwork will still be there. It might be hard for you to do right now. Better to get to it so it can be marked off your long list of things to do!!
Thank you for the lovely thank you card. It meant a lot!
Prayers for you and your family.
I love you much...lots of hugs....connie d
Hi Ladies,
I came to the library today so I could get some more books to read. I was super happy this morning when I got on the scale, I lost 9.2 lbs this week. I weighed myself twice to make sure it was right. Ive been busy today, I took my friend to the bank and grocery store then I walked twice today. Went to the pharmacy to get my prescriptions. I made a cheesy chicken chili for supper tonight and my friend is coming over for dinner.
Trish have fun camping.
Connie Im glad you are feeling better today. Ive been worried about you.
Vickie Im glad you had a nice time with your daughter.
Everyone have a good week.
Hugs,
Yvonne

Life is so good for you right now...I am so proud of you!!
Yes...today is a pretty good day. I am getting tired right now. I don't want to get in a habit of napping so I am trying to keep busy. It feels good to not have that harsh pain today!!!!
Have a wonderful evening!!
