Sunday Funday!

Hi Christine and my OFF family:

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. I know what you mean about kids growing so fast. Last time I saw my great-nephew Ben, he was 6-2 and had size 16 feet ... and he was 14. He is now 15 and still growing. He is a sophomore in high school this year. He was 10-pound baby, so we figured he'd be big. He's a center on the football team and plays baseball but no basketball because he's too slow. 

I spent 2 hours this morning at Verizon because my phone died last night. Good riddance! It was a Droid Razr and this was the fourth time in 2 years it had died (I had insurance so I always got a new phone to replace it, but it was the same brand). Last night, I tried to get it back on and it wouldn't reboot. It was my anniversary July 24, so I was due for an upgrade, so I went over there this morning. I got a Samsung Galaxy 6. I could've gotten an Iphone for about the same price (they now charge you per month for the phone; that way if you want to change phones in the middle of your contract, you can). But I've heard a couple of people who have had both and they've liked the Galaxy; plus the Galaxy supposedly has a better camera ... this was from the salesman. Anything but the Razr. Never again. 

I've learned in my dealings at Verizon to bring drink, snacks and something to read or do. I had a free drink from Starbucks, my morning protein bar and my tablet so I could read or play around while I waited. Then the 2 hours doesn't tick me off as much. 

So that's what I've done so far today other than go to work. One of my coworkers is trying to figure out how to turn his bicycle riding into a profitable business as a pedicab driver. It's been pretty funny. It may go on all night. Once he gets on a tangent, it doesn't stop.

Hello Eileen.....your nephew has grown up so fast...where has the time gone!! He is a big boy!!!

I was glad my Droid died....I love this new iPhone way more then I thought I would. Carrie had 2 free phones due, 2 chances for an upgrade. I got one and she is getting the other. I never had problems with the Droid. It wasn't the Razr I don't think. It was almost 3 years old. I got my use out of it that is for sure! I like that both my daughters, spouses and grandchildren all have Apple phones and computers. If I have a question they can help me so much better. 

You coworker is a hoot!!! That makes the time go faster!

I have a galaxy 5. Jazz has an Iphone, but considering I am not that computer savvy I think the galaxy works fine for me. I like the camera & a few other bells & whistles it offers, but I am not married to my phone like a lot of ppl.

I hope you like it. Jim had a droid & it was a constant problem.

Which takes me to commiserating w/you about the wait when you go in for any Verizon service...I hate the waiting around whether on the phone or at the store! And I really hate my bill! Ugh!

Hello Christine and everyone...

I am having such a wonderful time with my grandchildren!! I am so grateful that Amanda and Tyler are here. They sure help out a lot with everything. They just took Gracie outside to the playground next to us. They wanted me to rest a bit before they have to head back to St Paul. Gracie just loves them and they are so sweet to her!! I love them all so much!

I ....of all times.... had restless legs really bad last night. I was up and down until finally falling asleep about 2:30 or 3:00. I am dragging today....but...I am loving my day too much to care!! Gracie and I will be in bed early tonight!

Sorry I haven't been around much. We just have been so busy!! Once Amanda and Tyler leave things will be a little less busy!! I look forward to spending some time with just my little Gracie!!

Hello again sweeties!

Just popping back on before I head for bed.  I am POOPED!  We did indeed take the boys to the park and that big natural swimming pool again today.  Chris packed a picnic and I blew up two of our enormous "toobs" for fun.  We floated all over that gigantic pool.  Budder took a nap in my lap in my toob and I covered his little head with my hat, so my head is feeling a bit on the crispy side.  (I don' have enough hair left on top of my head to protect my scalp from sunburn anymore!  Grrr!  )

Anyway, just wanted to post a silly picture here for y'all.  Benny was getting pretty tired of "selfies" and decided to play a trick on me!  LOL!  I took the picture anyway and it still turned out!  It was a fun day and hopefully I'm so tired I'll actually sleep tonight.

I was at Verizin Thursday if last week and I didn't wait at all. I turned in my crazy Galexy 5s!!! I hated my android phone!!! I went back to the Iphine. I got a Iphine 6plus. It has a way better camera than the Samsung 6 and the pictures compare to my Canon t3i!!! 

My bill on the other hand well we won't talk about that!!!

i think we should talk about a get together We haven't had one since 2008 in Phily...

Maybe somewhere central?

I'm an Old Fart...,..I bought a Trac phone and a card with 60 minutes about five months ago...I got double minutes so started with 120 minutes.  I still have 80 minutes on it...,....because Jim used it a few times.   I just learned how to take a picture with it and send it to another phone.

Phone plans are way over my head,......and wicked expensive.

Hello Mary....I only have a few minutes to say I am glad you are here with us once again!

Phones are expensive...I am lucky my daughter pays my phone bills!!!!

The phone you use now works good for you why pay more.
