Friday ... Let££
Yeah, I had bloodwork done recently and the only thing found was the thyroid. I'm on two antidepressants. My therapist isn't a psychiatrist so I have to get my family doc to prescribe. I'm on cymbalta and elavil. Plus, I'm having lots more body aches in different places. Today, it was my left shoulder and left thumb. Weird, huh?
Hello Eileen...it is tragic what happened in La. All those people killed for what?? Some crazy man!!! I am afraid to go anywhere!! I guess more places need to have monitors to go through and check for weapons. This kind of situation is happening every day!!
This site has gone weird on us. Things are disappearing. I am tired of writing posts over because poof they are gone! The site freezes up...I have no trouble with any other site. Yesterday I answered someone and as I was writing the top half of my post disappeared in front of me! STRANGE!!!!
I am not doing anything today either. I have a horrible headache that I hope leaves soon. I just took something for it again. Always something!!
Have a good evening...love and hugs...connie d

Greetings Ladies,
I'm finally home from doing a ton of running around all morning, into the afternoon. Had an appointment at the pain center first. While there, I scheduled an appointment to get a shot in my back next week. So, I have to go off my Coumadin, which is fun coz I get to eat foods I can't when I take it. Then I dropped my prescription off at the Meijer pharmacy, and got some groceries. Then I had to stop at the bank. My best errand was going to one of Colleen's in-law's to pick up a massage cushion for my back. She had posted it on a local yard sale Facebook page while I was in Pennsylvania. Her daughter is married to Trent's brother. We've become friends because we see each other at kids' soccer games, and family gatherings. She babysits for her daughter half-days, so she can teach at the kids' school in town. We're going to take the Frankie and her Munchkins out someday after school starts.
Now, I have chores to do, and laundry. I stripped my bed. I also have linens from the Nursery at church, which I brought home before I went back home.
I have frosting to make, and Colleen's birthday present to wrap. She's making cupcakes for the annual luau at Trent's parents' tomorrow. Her birthday is tomorrow, so I'm giving her the presents tonight. Problem is, one of the gifts hasn't arrived yet. I also have to look for a baby picture of her, to post on Facebook.
I love the recipe exchange idea. Should we do themes? I can't wait.
Judy, when my Chris got married, my sister, Mom and I flew from Philly to St. Louis, rented a car and stayed in a suite at a Residence Inn. Colleen had just had Izzy two months before, and she and Trent shared a suite with Sean and his then girlfriend across the hall. Her Dad and his wife were down the hall, and his Mom and Stepdad were nearby too. The morning of the wedding, Chris' in-laws hired a hair stylist to come to their house to do the hair for all the family and the wedding party. It was so much fun. I remember how stressful it was remembering my gown, shoes, slippers (for the reception), jewelry, make-up, etc for the wedding. Then there was the outfit for the rehearsal dinner. Plus, his in-laws held a catered brunch for about 50 family members at their house the day after the wedding, before Chris and Casey flew to Vegas for their honeymoon, and we flew back to Philly. I hope the weather holds out for everything. I'm also continuing to pray for your sister.
Must scoot.
Hugs, Love and Prayers,
Trish

Hello Trish......you sure did have a busy morning!!! I am glad you made an appointment for your back. I hope the shot helps! It is nice that you got a massage cushion. I hope that helps too.
You still have plenty to do at home if you are washing clothes and stripped your bed. I love fresh linens on my bed. I can't make the bed myself anymore so I only get it changed once a week. In the summer I like to do it more often.
Colleen's birthday is tomorrow...tell her Happy Birthday!!! What kind of frosting are you making?? I love the original butter creme!! I am sure Colleen will love her gift!!
Isn't it great when at a wedding someone is hired to do all the wedding party and mom's hair. My daughter, Jamie's now MIL had that all done for us too. I had long hair, Jamie likes when it is worn up so that is how it was done. It looked nice with all the curls but it just wasn't what I would have picked. I figured I could do that for my daughter. Both my ex's were there and they thought it looked really good...gee wasn't that sweet!! All of us from out of town stayed at the Inn not far from Jamie's house. I took Gracie to the house and stayed with her there. Someone else came with me but I don't remember who it was. Everyone at the Inn was up too late. Gracie was worn out and I knew she would sleep better in her own bed...as long as I slept with her!!
Have a good evening...take some time to do something just for yourself. Enjoy some of the things you normally can't eat!
Love you....hugs....connie d
Hello sistas,
Until we figure out where the gremlins are coming from on this site, I suggest doing this: After you type your post, immediately hit CRTL A (which is select ALL), then CRTL C (which is copy) and then hit SUBMIT. If the post goes through, great! If not, you have a copy of it. Whew! Just reopen a new message, hit CRTL V (which is paste) and try again. That's what I'll be doing.
I had planned to write a fairly detailed post today, but I just don't have the heart to do it now. Spent the morning working on thank you notes from the funeral and I'm not exactly depressed, but I don't feel like chatting either.
Going out to the lake house this afternoon to get my cable box and then on to the cable company to turn it in and cancel my service there. Then back through New Braunfels to pick up the boys from day care and bring them home with me for the evening. Chris is a "till" tonight, which means she could get off at 5 p.m. or at 10 p.m. She has to wor****il all the freight is unloaded. So I'll keep the lil fellas for her tonight and she can save that $40 or so for the baby sitter this week. I've got mac n cheese and corn dogs for the boys' supper tonight, so that's easy.
I love you all. Remember to SAVE before you SUBMIT.
Hello Vickie....I like you don't feel like doing anything. I understand why you don't...writing those thank you's isn't the easiest thing to do. I am thinking of you and sending HUGS!
I am glad you are having the boys for tonight. That will help make the time go faster. They love to be with you and you love them!
I hope all is going well with your mom. I am still praying about that.
Any news on Carrie and Pita Piper...so sweet!
I still have this rotten headache..I just took a couple more Tylenol and I am going to lay down in my dark bedroom. Maybe that will help.
Have a fun evening with those sweet boys of yours!!
I love you much...HUGS....connie d
