Happy Thursday
Good afternoon Eileen and OFF Ladies-
Eileen when is your doctor going to follow up on your thyroid? I bet you're tired because the quality of you sleep was unconsiously disrupted by the key in the lock. I've had that happen to me at hotel and I called the front desk immediately. I too am happy that your brother will be joining you as roommate. If you can get a tape of a dog barking you could play it when something like that happens. Bet the cough and some of the headaches are related to allergies. Ragweed is cranking up at the moment. Have you considered possibly getting a HEPA filter for your bedroom? Hope you feel better soon.
Kathy I am moving right along with the packing but some days it's a struggle. Growing up as a military child we moved frequently. This cabin is the longest I've lived in one house other than my motorhome. As I said to a friend on Facebook last night part of the process is having the happy and sad memories as you find objects or pack them.
Connie I hope you're feeling a bit better today and are not as grey. Grace is coming and I hope you have a wonderful time!
Today I was socialable with the Mah Jong ladies and joined them for lunch as a local cafe. I dropped out last year because I don't really enjoy the game and some of the ladies just get on my nerves. One woman and her husband have not been talking to me since I resigned as the road keeper. That's another reason I dropped out last year because everytime we played someone complained about the road. It's more complicated but ya'll don't need to hear it all. I'm just not feeling comfortable here in Maine like I used too thus another reason I'm selling.
Oh well, time to clean up the house a bit just in case someone comes to look at it. Tomorrow I will go back to packing and analyzing my lump sum pension buyout offer. I'll be thinking positive vibes for all of you who need them.
Cindi B
Hi Cindi....I hope that you are almost done with your packing. It is slower when you pack and pitch at the same time.
The reason I asked you what Gee Gaw was because of my granddaughter, Kyleigh. When she was little and learning to talk she called her hair her "gee gaw", her doll gaw gaw and her play kitchen was her go go. Those names lasted with her for a long time....she could speak very well but those were the names for those things. We use to laugh ourselves silly over that.
I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon. It has been a better day! I think I wore myself out yesterday.
It was nice that you went to lunch with those ladies. If they don't like you too bad. It is definitely their loss!!! Most things are more complicated these days!! LOL!!
Have a good evening...sending love and hugs...connie d
Greetings Ladies,
Had a great morning with the kids, while Colleen practiced for her mini-triathlon. Colleen has a list of things that Izzy and Lincoln have to do each morning in the summer. For each of them, there is a math page and reading. Izzy is also practicing cursive writing now. They also have a couple chores in their rooms. After that, the boys and I played checkers, Sorry, and a new game, I can't remember the name. But, it is quite complex, and I'm amazed Lincoln can understand it.
After I got home, I weeded my flower gardens out front, and filled my bird feeders. Now, I need to get to the store to cash in my Diet Coke cans, and get some groceries.
Not sure what else the day holds.
Thanks for the prayers for Heather. So far, all I know is that a woman from AA has reached out to her.
Hugs,
Trish

Hello Trish... am so glad you had a good time with your grandchildren. I am sure they missed you!! They seem like such nice kids!!
So you got your flower garden weeded...good for you!! I think a home looks so welcoming if there are pretty flowers and shrubs out front. My second husband always tended the lawn and gardens. It always looked so pretty. He had a green thumb like Vickie!! We had bird feeders in the back yard. The birds were fun to watch.
I will continue to pray for Heather. I really hope she can get the help she needs.
Did you get that card I sent you to pay for the flowers?? I hope so!!
Have a good rest of the evening....love and hugs...connie d
Good afternoon Eileen and everyone.....
Eileen....that key in the door would have frightened me too!! I would of yelled out and asked them what they were doing. You are braver then I am. But then after all I went through I am extra cautious. I won't live on a ground level ever if I lived alone.
I think your cough is probably allergy related. I have been having problems too. A cough, runny nose, and my eyes are all matted in the morning. I hope we both feel better soon! As for the drowsiness I blame that on the weather. Almost everyone I talk to complains about being so darn tired. Mine has a lot to do with my Fibro.
I am glad you had a good nights sleep with Juliette. She is really coming around!!
Rest all you can before you must go to work!! I hope you have a slow night tonight.
Love you...HUGS....connie d
Hello everyone.....hope all is well with everyone....
Judy...I imagine you are running around getting all your duds together for your trip. Don't forget your pretty dress and shoes!! You are going to look just beautiful!!
I had my errand lady call this morning to see if she could take me shopping in the morning instead of the afternoon. Something else came up for her. I let her know that was okay. I had just finished my shower and wasn't even dressed yet or had breakfast. We only had a couple hours to shop and we had to leave right away. I dressed and grabbed a Premier Protein Drink and a bottle of cold water and out the door I went. She is so sweet and always goes above and beyond for me. It was the least I could do for her. We made it and finished with time to spare!! I had my grocery list made up according to the isles in the store. I rode the electric cart and told her what I needed, she filled my basket for me.
I put my groceries away and then went for my walk. I am very tired now!! A nap is right around the corner!
I was sure to pick up special treats for my Gracie and Amanda and Tyler!!
I will check in later....I really do need to lay down for a little while. I will answer your posts when I get up.
Prayers for our loving OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need.
Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d

I had a scare so bad tonight!!! I thought I lost my money and credit cards!!! OMG!!!!!! When I changed my long pants to my shorts my little purse I keep them in fell out of the pocket!!! I couldn't find it!!! I was in tears!!! I didn't know if someone pick pocketed it or if I lost it someplace in the store or what!!! Hi ladies!
A fly-by visit once again, but I am so happy to read about your lives.
Eileen i I don't blame you for being freaked out, my heart was in my throat reading about that key in the lock! You poor thing.
Kathy, I don't know where this energy is coming from, exactly, but I know for sure I didn't have it ore-journey! Am I the baby? I'm 53. I though Vickie was the baby, or you! LOL
vickie, I love the recipes you posted. I am so in awe of you, girl. Just be good to yourself and know you are surrounded by love! XO
Jeannie, I love to cook and love the recipe exchange idea. I'm in!
Connie, darlin you are a wonder. I love your selflessness and your caring. I and glad you have a cleaning fairy and an errand fairy, but I do wish I could give you a Fibro Fairy who would make all that pain go away...
Cindi, hello! I'm still catching up so tell me, where are you moving? I just love Maine but maybe you're heading to the warmth...
Trish, i indeed keeping heather in my prayers. I hope this works out for her.
Judy, sweetie I hope you have a good and safe trip! I will contribute to Connie's bail money collection fund if needed! LOL!!!
Well I thought I wasn't going to type much on my phone but this is pretty good! I sure hope I didn't forget anyone.
Hooray, its time to pack to return home! We leave early on Fridays, so even with my 3 hour drive I will be home for dinner tomorrow. I can't wait. And then this weekend we are on the road, as it's my nephews graduation. Ugh, if I didn't love him so much I would beg off but he is such a great kid, so I can't miss it. Just two more weeks until we close on our little cottage on Cape Cod. Golly I can't wait, it's a dream come true.
Ok girls so I'm off to pack a bit, and then hit the sheets for some long overdue SLEEP! Talk to you all tomorrow.... Prayers to you all....
Christine
