Good Afternoon Mary and OFF,

Mary, I'm continuing to pray for Jim.  Sorry he's still not doing well.

Vickie, of course you're in a fog.  That's understandable.  Also, missing that tax bill could have happened to anyone going through all you've been through in the past year.  As for the food, it will get better.  Time to take baby steps, and give yourself a break.

Connie, I hope you enjoy your outing.  Sometimes a change of scenery, even if it's to a store, can help.

I took a friend to her first therapy appointment this morning.  Then, I finished weeding my poor vegetable garden.  It was a disaster when I got home.  Hope it improves.

I'm heading to an appointment to get my Coumadin level checked in a few minutes.  Then, over to Colleen's to drop off some stuff.

Love,

Trish

Trish....I lost this post too. I will try again!!!

Sorry your garden took such a hit. I thought maybe Colleen or Trent would have watered it for you as you were gone quite awhile. Hope it bounces back for you!!

I had a nice time at Target. Just looking around and finding some deals on products I needed. I sure do go through the cleaning supplies. I need to watch and see how much she is using!! I got tired after about 30 minutes which is normal for me. I am no fun to be with anymore. I just can't keep up. I was glad to be back home.

I sat down for about fifteen minutes and then did my walk. That wasn't even enjoyable today. Too hot outside...some breeze but it didn't help much. I had to come in and finish.

I hope your Coumadin levels were good. You don't want them to be off. I hope you had fun at Colleen's!!

Love and hugs...connie d

Hi Connie,

Glad your outing was successful for you in terms of deals.  My garden really didn't need watering, because they got a lot of rain here while I was gone.  It was the weeds, which I didn't ask Colleen to take care of anyway.  Colleen did say she'd water, if needed, but it didn't.  I could tell it rained by the mosquitoes that have gone bonkers.  I have to wear one of those OFF gizmoes when I go outside to do anything in the yard, coz I have already been dinner several times since I got home on Sunday.  Every time my car door gets opened, several sneak in and make me crazy while I'm driving.  I can't tell how many I've killed in the last 48 hours.  The OFF gizmo works great, and I'm not spraying chemicals on my skin.

I was finally able to see the kids this afternoon.  They were at their other grandma's, while Colleen and Trent went away for her birthday Sunday night.  Gave them a bunch of shells I picked up at the Jersey shore.  Two were 2 part mussel shells that Frankie called butterflies.  Unfortunately, Frankie's broke into two separate pieces.  I brought them home, and tried to glue them back together with super glue, but got it all over my finger.  Now, I'm waiting to see if the Elmer's glue puts them back into a butterfly again.  I sure hope so, coz that was all he cared about.

I took dinner to a friend's house so she and her family could have dinner.  She had baby #3 while I was in PA.  My church does that for all new Moms, or people who have had surgery.  Since I had to be out all day, I was going to get them Chinese, but they had that yesterday, so she asked about pizza.  No problem.  Got to hold her adorable baby boy.  She has six and three year old girls too.  His name is Benjamin.  What a thrill to hold a newborn.  I've had her younger daughter in Nursery, and the older one in the children's program I help with.  Precious kids, as all are.

Love ya

Hello Everyone!

It is another hot & humid one today...feels like slushy air & heat index over 100 again. I went for my cuomidin check this morning at 9am & it was 86 according to my car! Ugh! At least my INR is back to normal.

I don't feel like doing anything today, but I need to get in the pool. Looks like it could storm, though, at any minute. Will see..

Mary, my sympathies on the loss of your uncle & the situation his daughter is in. I worked with the disabled for many years & they have such a special place in my heart! In terms of your Jim realizing how serious his condition is that is a mixed bag. No one wants to deal with that physically or mentally. However, it sounds like he is slowly 'getting it' even if he just demonstrates it by keeping his weekly appointments. Prayers for both of you. His situation is no joke!

Vickie, while all the 'bad' news via the mail is troubling & a hassle to deal with at least it is keeping your mind busy. I think you need that now. And your family! The distractions will help you 'heal' in the long run. I think I shared that after my divorce... which was no more pleasant than the marriage...I still missed my x. He was seldom home, either, and I ran the household like a single mother long before I became one, but I knew he was there if I needed him. there was this change...nothing as final as death, but it felt different. I was glad to move forward and away from that as it was the lonliest time in my life.

Connie, I agree it will be good for you to get out if only to pick up a few things at Target. I need to get in my car sometimes, blast the radio and just ride when I am feeling down. So hopefully your trip will be a little 1st aid! Good for the head & soul! Gracie's visit will be a great diversion...enjoy!

I like being able to keep up with most of the ladies on FB...I really enjoy seeing what they are up to. I love Vickie's flowers and recipes (I CANNOT can...lol!), Trish's political debates, hearing about Carla's travels, etc.

Anyhow, I will hop off for now. Everyone have a good day!

Kathy

Hi Kathy...I did answer your PM  .....

I so hope you got in the pool today. That would feel so wonderful!! I hope the storm missesyour area!

I did enjoy my little trip to Target. I managed to get some good deals on things I needed. After about 30 minutes I crashed. It happens all the time. That is all my body wants me to do. I had to sit and wait 45 minutes for my bus. I had no more energy to shop. It was still nice getting out of my apartment for awhile.

I did answer you PM ...

Have a good evening!!!

Lots of love and hugs ....connie d

Ladies,

I hope you are all getting through the day with as little stress as possible.  I am getting ready for the new fall semester so things are a little hectic.  Also, I am probably going to have to go to China for a couple of weeks. I know I said I wouldn't go back, but it looks like I may have to go....at least they are flying me first class.....and paying me a lot of money.  I won't have to go until the middle of August, so I have a bit of time before really stressing out about the long ass flight.

I really don't have a lot of news other than the having to go to China but other than that, I am just getting through this awfully hot summer....which means the air conditioners are set at subzero temperatures.   I hope you are all staying cool and having a good day.
