Hi Trish and my OFF family:

You sure have a mess there with your mom and sister, Trish. I am fortunate that my brothers were good at handling things with my mom. All I can say is your sister and mom need to get their acts together. You did what you could, but they need to cooperate.

Connie, I'm sure you and Gracie will have a blast together. I haven't been to a movie since April, and that wasn't anything a kid would be interested in. "Minions" looks cute.

I woke up with a headache again. We had storms last night just as I was going home. I set my alarm to get up to go to the Y, but the headache won out and I went back to sleep. It comes and goes now. Plus my back hurts a lot ... still have pain going down my left leg. I know the pool would help my back but the headache really incapacitates me. I have to work tonight and I really don't have days off I can take. I fought through it last night. I guess I'll fight through it again.

We had a bit of a trying night at work, not so much on the sports pages but elsewhere. Tonight's my Friday so hopefully it will go smoothly.

Need a shower and lunch. Have a good day.

Eileen, my sister has no ability to remember to give Mom her meds.  Mom, being 88, is naturally forgetful. My sister has promised to get Mom TV and cable in the room she stays in, but never follows through.  She promised me I could have Wifi, when I stayed at her house for six weeks with my broken foot, but never got it, even though I told her I'd pay for it.  When it comes to this stuff, she is useless.  If I lived there, I could handle everything myself, but I refuse to move back there just because my sister refuses to grow up at age 62.

She still doesn't even have a cell phone, even after Mom bought her a brand new iPhone years ago.  Claims she didn't know how to use it.  She never asked me for help, even though I already had one.  She just stopped using it.  But, when she went to Penn State, for a Special Olympics event in June, she took Mom's iPhone, which I bought, and still pay the bill for.  I blew a gasket when she called me on it.  That's when I found out that Mom bought the one she doesn't use.  Argh!

Love ya.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Your sister sounds like my mom ... doesn't want to try anything new. Now, I can understand my mom, she's 91. Any change is frightening to her. But we bought her this new walker with a seat. Gary showed her how to use it. She uses it when he's there  but otherwise, she won't use it. It's easier to use than the other walker, but she won't use it. It's new and it means change and she has to learn something new. Too much effort. In the meanwhile, she complains about having to wait for everyone to take her back to her room.

Hello Eileen...I am hoping Grace hasn't already seen the Minions movie. It looks good and funny too!! I am very excited that Gracie will be here soon!!

Sorry you woke up with a headache again. The Y will be there another day. You needed the extra sleep! Hope the headache goes away and doesn't come back anytime soon.

I think that your back and leg have more pain from "the idiot that we no longer mention"  you wrestling around and hitting the floor. Have you seen your Chiropractor lately?? Maybe you need to see him twice a week.

I wish you could take a night off work to get over your headache and leg pain. At least I hope it is an easier night for you tonight.

Love you...HUGS...connie d

Eileen:  Have you heard about The Reed Procedure for the treatment of migraines?  We're going to look into it for my hubby.  At least find out about costs, insurance, etc.  Should you be interested you can go to their website:  reedmigraine.com

Thanks, I'll look into it, but mine aren't as bad as your hubby's. Most of the time meds and other treatments take care of mine. It's only when the weather settles in like this (several humid, rainy days) that I have extra ones. But I'll look it up (and right now there's a rumble of thunder overhead).

Hi Ladies,

I came to the library to see if my book was on hold and it is.  Got my walk in this morning, the sun was sure hot even though it was only 75 out. Only thing I have planned this week is to go to the store to pick up a few groceries for my picnic on Saturday with a friend from high school.  Its been a while since I seen her.

Connie I hope you have fun with Gracie. Just dont wear yourself out.

Eileen Im sorry you are suffering with headaches and back pain, hopefully they will go away soon.

Judy Im praying for you. Hope you have a nice vacation. What part of Michigan are you going to?

Vickie do what you can do with your house, it will get done in time. Do spend sometime on yourself too.

Prayers for everyone.

Hugs,

Yvonne

Hello Yvonne...it was pretty nice outside. How far do you have to walk to the library? The humidity here had dropped and there is a good breeze. I walked for a bit outside too. I so much prefer being outside!!

I hope you have a fun picnic with your friend. How nice to get together after years apart. I hope the day is a comfortable one so you can be outside.

Love and hugs to you....connie d
