Good Morning,

Quick stop in.  My nephew is here, waiting for the paratransit bus to take him to an appointment.  

I'll be heading to my sister's to make sure Mom takes her meds.  Then, to the cemetery where my brothers are buried.  I have a special stone to put on my older's brother grave, which I put on my baby brother's grave.

Worked on getting car cleaned out, need to get it washed and vacuumed.

Good morning Trish....I love what you did for your baby brother. I think it is wonderful that you spend some time with for late brothers. You are such a kind and caring lady!!!

Trish, you are one of the busiest ladies I know of...I hope I have that kind of energy after I get this weight off!

Sorry to hear you have lost 2 brothers this early in life. that has to be hard! I hope you are able to work thru things w/your mom so you can get home soon. So much going on!

We were up earlier than usual and out of here by 7:30 am to drop off my car to be repaired. then stopped at Walmart to pick up some food and to Verizon to pay our frigging bill! Came home and did a deep cleaning in our bedroom & living room since Jazz was still sleeping. She had her friend overnight and they were up past 2am!

I am now ready for a nap. We have to pick the car up later & take Jazz to the library for their teen game night. then I have to make some dishes for my daughter's cook-out tomorrow. I haven't been in pool for 3 days...it has barely hit the low 80's! But a heat wave is set to move in tomorrow for the next 5 days...a gift from those of you in the Midwest!

Hello Kathy...It sounds like you have quite a busy day yourself!!!

I assume you Verizon bill was a bit high!! I am so blessed that my daughter pays mine for me. I never see the bill.

Sorry you haven't been able to get in the pool the last few days. I hope you can again real soon!! It is such a great way to relax!

With all the cleaning and shopping and everything I hope you can get a break just for yourself!!

Good morning everyone...

I am doing okay..a little shaky and sad. Lucy is at her husband's viewing and that makes my heart ache. A week ago it was Butch, tomorrow it is Randall.  I just keep praying for Lucy as I know what a difficult day she is having.We all know how hard that will be. I know the Lord is by her side and if I know Randall so it he!  God Bless them all!!

Nothing much for me today. I have a really bad headache. I need to take something and lay down for awhile.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I've been up since 8 a.m. because I wanted to go to urgent care. I've had an issue with a finger ... it has gotten very swollen. I thought it was an ingrown nail but the doc at urgent care said it was an infection (can't remember the exact word he used). Of course, it doesn't help that I bite my nails. Anyway, I'm on antibiotics now and have to soak it in warm water. 

While I was at urgent care waiting for the doc, I heard the nurse say, "we need help. There's a guy here who is having chest pains." I figured at that point my waiting time would increase. But geez, if you're having chest pains, wouldn't you go to the ER instead?

Anyway, after the doc, I went to CVS to pick up my prescription, stopped at Starbucks because I was out of my SF Cinnamon Dolce syrup and got an iced coffee to boot. I thought the iced coffee tasted a little funny but thought maybe they put too much SFCD in it. Well, when I got home, I saw the barrista gave me regular CD instead. So now I have to go back. No wonder the iced coffee tasted so sweet ... I threw it out. I'll ask for a free drink when I go back, too.

Connie, I have a bit of a headache too ... it comes and goes. It's been OK since I've been home, but I know it'll come back when I get in the car again. I'm making sure I drink lots of water and keep the blinds drawn in the apartment. It's really hot and humid out.

I need to get ready for work because I have to stop off at Starbucks, which is going out of the way. But I want this taken care of today. Have a good day.

Afternoon OFF Family!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am in AWE HERE!!!! Had Bingo for the tenants today...15 YES I said FIFTEEN showed up!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!! I only made a small batch of Macaroni and Tuna Fish salad for the lunch!!! Had some potato chips left over from last weeks Bingo...had some pop and iced tea also...I can't believe 15 people!!!! Usually I have 6 maybe 7 show up!!! AWESOME!!!!!! And the new people said they had so much fun they are coming back!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!!! Just might have to move over to the bigger club house!!!!!!!  Oh...AND we had rain and storms here this morning!!!

Mail came today...I GOT MY SILVER SHOES I WANTED SO BAD FOR THE WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!  Now all I am asking is for TWO days to be NICE!!! The 25th and the 1st!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

It is getting muggy outside and I can't stand it...I really feel bad for those that have breathing problems!!!!

OH!!! saw on FB my sister is home!!!!!!! Guess I will be able to call her tonight!!!  Seems every time I tried to call her at the hospital her phone there was broken or shut off!!!

Looking like more storms starting to pop up around here now....GRRRRRRRR

I am home.  I do not feel like posting yet, but did want to let you all know that my week away was very helpful.  Some good days and some bad days.  I expect there will be a lot of that.

Trish sounds like things are the same with you Mom.  Can a home health aide visit her daily to make sure she takes her meds?  We had to do that with my aunt.  We filled the pill case but the health aide made sure they were taken.  Just a suggestion.

Kathy you wore me out talking about deep cleaning and running your granddaughter around.  Believe me when you have the surgery and loose more weight you will have more energy as long as you get your protein.

Connie I continue to keep you in my thoughts as you adjust to the news about your friend.  You have had a rough few weeks.

Eileen sorry about your finger.  Just take all the antibiotics and soak that finger.  My cousin got a toe infection and had to do a series of antibiotics and soaking.  She used some epsom salts in the water to help draw the infection out.  She also used tea tree oil in the water sometimes.  She's diabetic and has to watch out about foot infections.

Well three more boxes packed today in the tool shed.  Car loaded for the dump tomorrow.  Need to keep going while the weather is cooler so more packing tomorrow.  Tool shed is stuff and hot even in the cool weather.

My former employer has notified a bunch of us retirees that they are doing a one time pension lump sum buyout.  I got the envelope today, so now I have a lot of reading to do.  Can't access the website they published as it is being updated.  Maybe later tonight or tomorrow I'll be able to get in.  Not even sure that I will even qualify for this buyout based on what I've skimmed so far.  I hate reading about financial stuff.  ARGH!  Already contacted my financial advisor and still have to read about the tax impacts.  UGH!  Anyway, we'll see what I read.

Not much else going on up here in Maine.  Supposed to be getting some rain tonight based on the weather map I just saw on the news.  Guess I'll have to go put some things back into the tool shed so they don't get wet.
