I am sure your bed felt wonderful after being gone that long. I love trips but I am always glad to be back home!!

If you were closer I would do your laundry...I have always loved doing laundry.I am sure there will be plenty of catching up for you to do. I hope your hubby behaved and picked up after himself!

Finding that stuff on your niece's place sounds like fun. I took a noncredit college class when I was in Montana about archaelogy, and we went to actual dig sites where we could take whatever we found (the sites were already dug up and cataloged, so whatever was left was fair game). Also went to a buffalo jump site (some of the class and my friend Roxane went to the top of the hill and mooned us). It was a fun class and on the final weekend we had our class trip to the sites and stayed at Chico Hot Springs Hotel near Livingston, MT (hotel nothing to brag about, but the restaurant was first class). It was my birthday too, so we had a blast.

Good morning/ afternoon Trish and everyone....

Trish...I am glad you made it safely half way home. I know you must be traveling now. Keep safe!! Sending prayers!

It was nice talking with you last night. I know things are needing to change with your mom. You can't do all that so fast. Just keep working on it. I am praying it will fall into place soon. It takes time.

I am sure your grandchildren will love having you back!! I hope you take the day off tomorrow to take care of yourself and get your life back in order! You were gone quite awhile.

I continue to pray for you and your mom...also the sister she is staying with.

As for me.... I went for my walk and actually got to be outside for a little while. The temp is 82 but the humidity is only 41. I walked and then sat on a bench and relaxed a bit. It felt wonderful!!!

My eating hasn't been good the last couple weeks. Either I can't eat or I eat everything in sight!! I am very upset with myself!! I have had buttered popcorn the last couple evenings and I have been craving toasted english muffins with peanut butter. I have had those about three times. I do great all day long....6:30 to bedtime...I munch and munch. I know I shouldn't be doing that but I can't seem to stop!!  I was doing so great...Now Crap!!!

I am going to go watch some old movies and relax and pout!!

Vickie ...I hope you are taking it easy and not overdoing it...even if it is bugging you!! I love you my sweet friend!! Still sending prayers for you.

Prayers for our loving OFF Family and their families. Special prays as requested or needed.

Have a beautiful day!!!

Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d

Connie...maybe your body NEEDS what your are now eating...????? remember you have not been eating right for awhile!!!! Buttered popcorn and peanut butter on English muffins not that bad!!!

Its HOT and heck here again today and storms are now popping up all over!!! And getting closer to us!!! YIKES!!!!! Yesterday they again missed us!!! Had some rain but not bad. Today...????

I have so many things to do to get ready for vacation and the wedding and I am not in any mood to do ANY of them!!!!! Right now not even looking forward to going to wedding. Guess just the thought of youngest son and his wife being there upsets the living hell out of me. Took the joy all out of it for me I guess. Just might be an EARLY day/night for us.

OK need to get back to FB and watch the weather...

LOVE YOU!!!!

HUGSSSSSSSS

Judy...I feel all bloated and gross from eating those things. Guess that means I won't want them again for awhile!!!

I have been watching the weather too. It is getting closer to you. I hope these miss you too!!

Don't you dare let that little peewee of a son of yours ruin that day for you!!! You have been looking forward to this for a long time. You get out there and strut your stuff and ignore them!! Do not let them even think about sitting with you or near you. You need to discuss this situation with your wonderful son. You both need a plan B. If he attempts to get mouthy to anyone kick his ass and hers right out the door!! DO NOT say anything to him and Rick shouldn't either. Totally ignore them. For heaven's sake do not let them know that awesome truck is yours!!! I am still praying for you!!!

I love you my sweet friend....HUGS...connie d

Connie this son is not a peewee...he is 6'6" tall...far from being small huh? As for his wife...she if a thief in every way possible!!! Why they were invited is beyond me!!! I am sure IF anything IS said or done they will be asked to leave. I just do NOT want to even SEE either of them!!!!

Storm is here and dropped some rain...had some thunder and lightening...now the sun is back out...makes for more storms possible!!!

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSS

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Finally got on to read through everything. I have felt miserable all day. Woke up with a headache, went back to sleep, woke up again with a headache. Took an Imitrex, didn't work, took a vicodin (back hurts too), didn't work, took a flexeril, helped the back a little, took a hot shower and stuck my head under it, helped a little. Put the voltaren gel on my back and neck, seems to have helped a little. I would've stood on one leg and spun around if I thought it would've helped. It's kind of subsided now ... back still hurts, though. Pain is going down my right leg. It's been doing this since Friday.

Talked with my mom this morning; she told me my niece and her family were coming to visit her today, as well as my brother Gary. I don't think Andrea, Matt and the boys have been there to Mom's new digs. I'm sure she's excited to see them.

Finally got the wall painted in my apartment today ... another guy came in to do it. It's only been since March I've been waiting to get this done.

Hope your travels go smoothly, Trish.

So many people are on the board today. I'll try to respond individually. Have a good night.

Good Evening Ladies!

It has been a very hectic week here starting with the lost dog & near car accident! I feel like I have chased my tail all week and finally things are settling down.

As some of you saw on FB my daughter hosted her 2nd only barbeque at her home she bought last year. She did an awesome job considering she ran into the same problem we were talking about in terms of this generation not RSVPing for events, writing thank you's, etc. Her half-brother & sister from my 1st husband were invited, but did not confirm. An hour into the party 13...yes 13 of them showed up unexpectedly!!! She had to scramble to make more food. But all went well and it was good to see them. they both live in Philly & while everyone stays in touch via FB it has been years since we have seen each other. Add to that their dad just passed this past September & his witch wife excluded all of them from the obituary & from his burial arrangements, funeral, etc...it was good for them to be able to reconnect.

Meanwhile, we live in a neighborhood w/such great neighbors, and once our dog went missing everyone kept an eye out and several tried to get her during sightings. Last night a neighbor got some coon cage traps & was able to 'capture' her. So she is now home safe, sound & happy! I am so relieved! She looks like she was not eating as you can feel her rib cage. So gotta fatten her up!

So much STILL going on here on our board!

Vickie, I am glad you got away and were able to decompress a little before coming home to all that delightful mail...NOT! How in the world did a lien get by when they do a title search, etc. as part of the home buying process? What a headache! And I did not realize you were in a HOA. My brother bought into a HOA development several years ago, and wound up moving out b/c their regulations were so rigid. He said they even monitored your speed limit & if you went 1 mph over you got a notice/warning. I sure hope it works out! I don't know if you ever had your mom live with you since you were married, but my dad took some getting used to when we had him move in with us. He would tell Jim how to cut the grass, me how to cook, and stood over watching us as we did things! It was an adjustment for sure. But I think his Alzheimers contributed to his behavior. Good luck with that!

Trish, I am sure you will be glad to be home in your own bed! However, leaving your mom given some of the concerns you had has to be hard. Hope to hear your sister & you were able to resolve any pressing issues.

Judy, love the family drama! We have it here, too! Jazz's mom was not a cook-out b/c of issues w/her sister. She would not come even after I called and asked her to when her half sister & half brother showed up & I wanted to have the 5 of them together. I respect her decision, but it really impacts everyone when family feuds crop up or linger. I would hope your son would not be 'ghetto' and ruin his brother's wedding by getting into family history.

Connie, as Judy said what you have been eating has not been that bad. And given all you have been thru emotionally the past few weeks...it is understandable you want to binge a little. This too shall pass...a little popcorn & junk will never kill you!

Christine, it is so good to hear from you! Was missing you, girl! That cottage is SO cute...you will love it there and have a blast living there! What a great location! And as hard as you work you deserve a 'retreat' where you can get away! And I hope your work schedule loosens up. No wonder your hubby feels like he does! And congrats on all that weight loss...look forward to some updated photos!

I know I am forgetting posts I wanted to respond to, but it is starting to get late for me and I am bushed.

Will ck back in when I can!

Kathy
