Hello Trish.....good luck with your mom today. I am glad you took a break yesterday. I am sure you did need it!!

I know I have said this before more then once. Ready?? Please consider getting your mom in a place that she can make friends and keep busy. My opinion is that she is not taking her medications on purpose. Look at the attention she gets. Plain and simple she is wanting attention. After all these years she knows how to get it! If that isn't the case and she is forgetting her medications then she sure shouldn't be alone.   Okay...enough ragging...I just care about you and hate you having to struggle with this ever little while. It doesn't help your mental health either. It isn't fair to you or your sister. I love you girl!!!!

Have fun with that sweet little or not so little Jackson!!! I love babies and I don't have any around anymore. He is really at a fun age now!! I wish I was going with you!!

Take good care of yourself...love and hugs...connie d

Hi Judy and my OFF family:

Today might be an adventure at work. They cut off the power overnight for repairs. It's supposed to go back on so we can work at 3 p.m. (I usually go in at 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, but I'll be in later). But if it doesn't happen, we might have to take our laptops and go over to our sister paper in Henderson, Ky., across the river. So we were all told to take our laptops home last night. The laptops connect to a power connector thingie (I don't know what it's called) and then we connect to the cloud to do all our work. I could actually work at home.

Judy, it's never boring for you, is it? I hope everything is going to be OK for your sister. Losing a leg is a big deal. I remember when my friend Wally had to lose a leg. He really never recovered from that ... not saying that's what will happen to Bonnie. He just didn't get a good fit on his prosthesis. But she has to be very careful with infections because if it goes to her heart ... well, you know.

I'm on day 2 of the thyroid med ... I have a little bloating but no diarrhea so far. Hope I don't have a repeat, especially if we have to go to Henderson. Never felt really good all night yesterday.

Someone is coming over today to buy my little stereo. I'm trying to sell a few things to get rid of stuff before Gary moves in. Still hoping to find a different place in the meantime.

Well, that's all for me. Hoping we'll hear from Vickie soon, but I know she needs some alone time, too. Have a good day.

Hello Eileen...I agree with Judy...can you work from home? If not I hope your office is up and running and you won't have to go to another one tonight. Always something isn't it!

I hope Bonnie (Judy's sister)doesn't lose her leg. My cousin's hubby had his leg removed not too long ago. He is walking and even better then ever. The prosthesis is a really good fit. He was sure to follow all the doctors orders and that help him move along in the healing process that much faster.

Sorry the tyhroid med is causing you bathroom issues. If it continues call your doctor. I have been on meds for that most all my life.

Selling your stereo...I don't know anything about it or what kind it is but it should sell fast. Hope the person coming over has cash!!

I hope we hear from Vickie even if it is a brief chat. Still praying for her and her family like everyone is.

Love you...HUGS....connie d

Yeah, I could work from home but our little laptops are only a 15 inch screen ... much too small for pagination. We need a big screen to do our work. I think we have 25-inch monitors at work, plus another monitor to use for other work, like checking facts, etc.

I will ask my doctor if I keep having issues with my meds. That was one of the side effects. I remember as a kid my mom had my doctor put me on thyroid meds because of my weight ... he never checked my thyroid levels, just gave me the meds. It was one of the common things doctors did back then. If you were fat, they gave thyroid meds. Didn't help ... I just kept eating.

The woman came for the stereo and yes, she had cash. There's a group on Facebook called Evansville online garage sale (or something like that) ... you post the item and people say "I want" and they get it first. I've sold a couple of things that way, no problems. Evansville's small enough to be trustworthy, and I always ask for cash.

Hi Eileen...I understand now why you couldn't work from home.

We have "garage sales" like that here too. I have never sold anything but I have bought a few things.

Yes...you could pretty much get anything from a doctor that you wanted in those times. Now it is hard to get aspirin!!

Have a good night...love and more hugs...connie d

Fell on the way to work today ... I was going to get my mail and lost my balance. Scraped my leg pretty good and got a few new bruises. An older guy who was at the dumpster helped me up ... I ended up on my ass, which is good because there's lots of padding. But my leg was bleeding a little, so I had to go back to my apartment and bandaged my leg.

Eileen....that isn't good!! You can't be falling like that. Remember that is how I broke my hip!!

I bet tomorrow morning is going to be so painful !!!! Not the scrapes so much... but the bruising.

I swear I am going to mail you some bubble wrap!!!!

I am glad you had time to clean up and bandage the area.

That was very kind of the older man to help you up. Thank goodness he was there!

Chat again late...I hope you got to stay in your office to work!!

Love you...hugs...connie d

Yes, got in to work. My leg stung a bit from the cut or scrape or whatever I did. I put neosporin on it; it's calmed down considerably.
