What's Up Friday
Hi Jeannie!
Good idea to do a separate post from Vickie's!
I also read your post about your new hearing aides w/interest! I have a 50% hearing loss in one ear and I forget the percentage in the other, but it is not as bad. Anyhow, Jim & Jazz often complain about having to repeat things for me, and my dad had a hearing deficit so I know how annoying that is. But his hearing aides were a real pain...either he was misplacing them or they would screech at certain volume levels. Therefore, between thinking they would be a problem for me in the same regard I have not looked into them. Plus, I know his were very costly.
Yours sound very interesting...I forget how fast technology moves now. I think I will look into them now based on what you said.
I am also envious of your 'trip.' As I have posted a million times before I cannot wait to do some real traveling. Sounds like so much fun. Please keep us posted on your adventures!
Connie, I really hope you are able to get rested up. The past several weeks have been so hard on you! I was pleased to hear about your new electronics. What a blessing! My sister bought me my 1st kindle when I was recovering from my cancer, and I feel so appreciative of loving gestures like that. I don't get to spend as much time w/her as when we were young adults w/our babies so these kinds of things mean a lot!
Eileen, I am so sorry you had a bad anxiety attack at work! I HATED going thru them. Hopefully you will have a therapist appointment soon to help you process your reaction to that article. Definitely hit too close to home. Everytime I think of what's his name and this awful 'legacy' he left you I want to throttle him!
Cindi, good luck w/all you have going on! Geez, kinda doing all the stuff Vickie was doing regarding her recent move. Maybe it is a Texas virus of sorts...lol!
I had a busy day. went to our local flea market this morning & ran into several former clients. a few commented on my weight loss saying they almost weren't sure it was me! That was re-affirming b/c although Jim & my girls comment from time to time we see each other all the time so I don't think it is as apparent to them. I also saw my favorite employee who I have been bad about staying in touch with. She is 75 years young, looks & acts about 50, and is a real prize. It was SO good to see her!
Came home & ate lunch & went for my hour swim before heading out w/Jazz to pick up her mom & go clothes shopping. Took longer than I expected, but was a good time! And Jazz went to stay the nite w/her mom so that was an added perk...I got Jim to myself tonite! He cooked dinner...fresh Jersey corn...yum...w/baked ravioli.
So I am ready to chill until bedtime!
Hope everyone has a good day!
Kathy
Good Evening Jeannie and OFF,
Finally home. As most of you know, I'm still in PA. SIL and I went to the Jersey Shore today, and hung out in the sand. I spent time collecting little shells, to take back to the kids. After we got home, we showered and ate, and ran back out to go see Minions with my nephew Neil. Everyone needs to take a Munchkin to see it. Stuff for our age group, and Minions and evil people.
I hadn't laughed so much in a very long time. It was a fun day. No stress, great weather, the relaxing sound of the waves.
Exhausted.
Love, Hugs, Trish
