Connie,, thank you for posting this update.  I will continue to pray for Vickie and their family.  Butch fought a valiant fight with his family by his side the whole way.  The love they share is a beacon of light to so many of us.  I am so glad they have each other -- especially at this time.

I have never been in a relationship that even came close to the love Vickie and Butch share. You are right...it is like a beacon...we are just drawn to it.

I feel so bad for Vickie. She has been through the wringer. I wish there was something we could do for her, to make her day a little brighter or easier. I'm glad she has her family around her. Butch is hanging on for some reason, only he knows.

Hi Eileen....yes Butch sure has hung on...I guess I would too if I had love like they have. 

I wish I could do something for her too...I have prayers and love constantly going to them....we are family and we all love Vickie....when she hurts we hurt. 

He really can't hold out much longer...God Bless him.

Sounds like when my Mom died also from cancer...she had same signs and lasted another five hours and passed in wee hours of the morning. Butch is so strong it may take longer, but sounds like today is the day, or maybe tonight.  Glad Vickie has family with her as it will be so hard on her....

Hi Jennifer...I think you are right...I figure sometime this evening.

Butch is a wonderful man and I by no means am wishing he would die...I just want this part of the travel to be over. Vickie is so exhausted and I am sure their daughters are as well. A very difficult time for all of them.
