HAPPY JULY 5TH

Afternoon OFF family...

OMG what a JOKE this parade and the festivities are today!!!!!!!!  OK...got all ready for the parade...had to go pick Carol up at the park so she could leave her van there for later on tonight because she was working the booth/tent there all afternoon into tonight. OK...found out the guys couldn't set up the tent because they were NOT one of the first ones that signed up for a vendor. OK....so they had to wait til they got the OK from the woman running the show there.....so we left after trying to get Carol up into the truck... I tried to lift her by pushing on her backside and lifting her up that way....OMG NOT HAPPENING!!!!!!!!! She was too short to get up there!!!!!!  FINALLY got her big AZZ up and IN the truck!!!! OK...off we go to line up for the parade...streets all blocked off and we can't get to where we are supposed to be...Rick gets out MOVES the baracaide gets the truck through and gets back out replaces the baracaide gets back in truck and proceeds to where we are supposed to be!!!! Woman comes yelling at us we can't be there...we tell he we ARE in the parade...VFW AUXILLARY!!! OH THANKYOU!!!!!! Park right there...OK... Get the signs on side of truck...NICE!!!! We ended up 5th in line!!!! WOW!!!!! So the parade starts...we follow the leaders...THEY HAD NO CLUE WHERE TO GO!!!!!! I am sure there were people waiting for the parade to watch and it NEVER came!!!!! OMG!!!  

So many people were mad as hell!!!!!!! Anyhow we got back to the park...Rick said he wanted FOOD!!!!! OK...went looking for food...all we found was mozzarella cheese sticks, gyros, kettle corn, and funnel cakes. So we ended up with each getting an order of cheese sticks and a pop. Ready for the cost? $16.00!!!!!!!!!!!!  I about ****!!!!!!!!!! I told him no more food here!!!!!! Took a drink of my pop and it tasted like soap!!!!!!! The line was so long I said forget it!!!!!! Not going back. Just said in a LOUD VOICE POP TASTES LIKE SOAP!!!!!!!!!!  Walked around looked at the car show and then back home to cool off!!!!!!! OMG it was so darn hot in the sun!!!!!!

So that is/was my day today. Going to take a nap and try to cool off. HAHAHA

Tried to call my sister but no answer. Not sure where she is today...walking maybe? Posted on FB yesterday and BOTH her kids were on there and I know they saw my post about me not knowing about her surgery!!!! Neither one answered on it!!!!!!! BRATS!!!!!!!!!!

OK need to take Bandit potty walking...he is bugging me!!! AGAIN!

Just got off the phone with my sister...she seemed to be in good spirits but craves LIVER & ONIONS!!! EWWWWWWWWWW Which she is not allowed to have right now!!! She talked her daughter to sneak some up for her tonight....OMG!!!!!!! She said she has been in the hospital now for just over 4 weeks and NEEDS some food SHE wants!!! Who am I to say yes or no...I am not there. Anyhow she said she has had several surgeries since I last talked to her. Really???? OK...anyhow today they took another sample of this lumpy area in her leg to see what this infection is all about AGAIN and its still NOT going away!!!!! She told the dr he had til end of this week to get this gone or she was going HOME!!!!!!! She has had enough of this being in hospital!!!!!! He didn't like that at all!!! She also said THEY didn't say anything to her YET but SHE knows it is coming soon that she might be going to lose her leg where this infection is at. I told her if they have not said that to her to STOP THINKING LIKE THAT!!!!!!!! She said SHE KNOWS!!!!!! SIGHS.....So PLEASE PRAY for her!!!!!!!!

Hello Judy....Sorry the parade was such a bust!!! I think they better find some new people to run things next year!!

I couldn't help laughing over you explaining how to get Carol pushed in that truck...OMG...I almost wet my pants!! Only you Judy!!! 

Bonnie's kids need a good kick in the azz!!!! She had even more surgeries then you knew about...I would be steaming!! Why doesn't she call you when she knows she is going in for surgery? That would save a lot of "forgetting" on the kids part! Four weeks in the hospital...that is crazy. I sure hope they can help her before she does lose her leg. Of course I will be praying for her...I always do...and for you too!

Connie...I am long distance and she can't make that type of call from her room. And her cell phone needs fixing??????? Daughter is working on that ??? Yeah...

As for the festival this year it is the first time its happened as its been gone for years...this person running it had no help or lack of helping her...ofcourse Carol said if SHE were doing it...sighs.......IT WOULD BE DONE PERFECT!!!!!!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Like today HoJo asked if someone had any Preparation H...why? Because he had a pain in his ass name of CAROL!!!!!!! So what does that tell you????? OMG!!!!!! Now you all know what I go through with her living here!!!!!!!  

Three more hours til the fireworks.......Miss Perfect wants us to come be with HER....UM...NO!!!!!! We go we will sit FAR AWAY from her!!!!!!! First year here we went with her and it was a blow by blow description of EACH and EVERY one that was lit on what it was!!!!!!!! NO THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!

ROFLMAO ....yes I am sure Carol would run that festival perfectly...NOT!! The Preperation H comment sent me to the bathroom...I almost did have wet pants!!!  

Honey ...I don't know how you can deal with your funny farm some times but I give you credit for sticking with it for this long!!

Have fun at the fireworks...weeeeee!! You and Rick all snuggled under the warm blanket...you behave yourself...there are children around!! I hope and pray Carol doesn't find you!!!

Hi Francine and my OFF family:

I got to work and right now can't work. System won't let anyone log on ... well, except one guy who gets in early to design the pages. So I told Larry he's doing the whole paper tonight (heaven help us!). In the meantime, I'm watching the White Sox game and thought I'd get on here. I've read everything the past two days but just busy at work. Yesterday when I finally had a moment I read but I only had a chance to respond to Vickie. I feel so bad for her ... Butch is just lingering so long. It's got to be so hard. 

Last night I came in and nothing had been done in preparation for Sunday's paper ... well, I wasn't surprised. But we still got done a half hour early (at least with my stuff ... the scoreboard stuff barely made it on time). 

As for getting rid of stuff to move, I have done this many times, which is why I no longer have so much stuff. I regularly pitch and purge. I have now taken two bags of clothes to St. Vinny's thrift shop and have another one in my car. Next come the books. I hate getting rid of books ... it's like getting saying goodbye to old friends. But if my brother's going to fit into this apartment, I have to make room. And so some things must go. 

Anyway, I can do a little every day and in between I take breaks and sit and eventually, I get more space. And someone else gets my trash, er, treasures. 

Well, off to see if we can work yet.

Hello Eileen...I hope by now you got your system up and running right again. Someone didn't do their job last night getting things read for today's paper. It sounds like you managed to get it done anyway..good job!

If all you have time for is to answer Vickie's posts that is fine by me. She needs that connection!! God Bless her!!

You sure are cleaning things up...that is a lot of clothes you took to the thrift shop!! I hate parting with books too. My oldest daughter, Jamie is always telling me to get rid of all my books. Well I did but I didn't like it one bit!! I went from 4 large bookcases to 1 small one...it makes me sad!! I feel the same way as you do...it feels like saying good bye to old friends. 

Yup...I understand the trash, er, treasurers thing!!! When I got rid of most all my things in storage, I cried. I felt like that is my life they were giving away. So many things meant so much to me....oh well....onward I go...I still have dressers and a couple cabinets to sort through. I will be glad when it is done and out of here!! Out of sight out of mind!! You keep chipping away at it....you will get it done!!

Well, I understood it about Friday night ... they had a holiday staff and just enough to get out the regular paper. Yes, I'm back up now. We were off systemwide for about an hour. 

As for the books, I figure if I want to reread something, I can get it on my Kindle. Less to repack every time I move. My brother says I have to get rid of my bookcases ... now I have four of them. We can keep two. That's OK. The two little ones aren't that great anyway. I may put one in my bedroom. We're going to keep the two big ones. I told him he could decorate but we have to keep my baseball bobbleheads somewhere. 

Along with the closet, I went through my bottom two dresser drawers and cleaned out a lot of t-shirts I don't wear. I love my t-shirt collection but some don't fit me anymore. I need to do the same with my sock drawer ... I don't wear these really heavy socks anymore. Not since I was in South Dakota. And a couple of other drawers in my chest of drawers. Then a couple of other closets. This all needs to be done in a month. So lots to do.

Eileen...you have gone through a lot of drawers, closets and things...good for you!!!

I agree...I use my Nook....but....there is just something about holding a book that I like. When I read in bed at night I always read a "real"  book. It is comforting for some strange reason. Maybe it is just that I am blond and my thinking is weird!!

You should see how many socks I have...I use about a 1/3 of them if that...I will put the ones I don't want in a tote. Amanda and Kyleigh will look through them.

I use my Kindle to read in bed (actually, it's a tablet, not a Kindle, but it uses a Kindle and a Nook app, and I get as many free or cheap books as I can). I find it's so nice and easy to use ... I sit it on my tummy and read ... I can adjust the font size and the type so I can see it better. There will be some books I'll keep, like older books that are not in good condition and big coffee table type books. 

Well, the U.S. women just won 5-2 ... story will be coming in about an hour (the long one with quotes). Lots of late stories tonight. 

Hi Ladies,

Still at my brothers till tomorrow morning when he brings me home.  I got to see my great niece today. She is having her tonsils out tomorrow. Tonight we're going to worship in the park.  Its a christian rock band playing.  Hopefully it isnt as cold as it was last night.
