HAPPY DAY BEFORE INDEPENDENCE

Good Evening Jeannie,

I've had shingles and caught it early, and was only actually sick in bed for two days.  I was on two antivirals, had a small rash, and was so grateful I caught it when I did.  The weird thing is, my Mom told me that I never had chicken pox, but my doctor said I probably only had a couple pox that Mom probably never noticed when I had them, so who knows who I exposed.  Then, when all three of my  kids had it, I bathed them in Aveeno baths, and dressed them in Dad's T-shirts, which were the softest fabrics in the house, after dabbing every single Pox with Caladryl.  Then, they laid on the sofa bed watching movies.  I was certain I'd get sick with it, but never did.  Live and learn.  So, I need to get the shingles shot.  

Mom is doing better already.  After the holiday, we're going to sit down with her, and have a talk.
