Good morning Eileen...so nice to see you starting the thread today.

Your day seems pretty full already. The pool at the Y will be so relaxing. Good way to start the day! Going to see your therapist will be helpful. I hope you are slowly recovering from your trauma. The best thing is to talk it through. Ending with the Chiropractor will be a good finish for your busy day. You will need a nap after all that!! I am so happy to finally have a couple days off!!!

Diet Coke...yuck sticky and messy. I hope that doesn't happen again anytime soon!!

Have a restful rest of the day...enjoy your iced coffee and protein bar!!! Sounds wonderful to me!! Don't overdo with the cleaning. You need one day of rest at least part of the day.

As for me.... today is a okay day...not moving very fast but that is alright. Lots on my mind.  I will see what I can work through today. I spoke with my therapist yesterday. She is always so helpful. She says baby steps so that is how it will be.

Pain is way off the charts...too darn many thunderstorms and fluctuating temps for me! Onward I go.....

Prayers for our special OFF Family and their families. Prayers for Bonnie, Judy's sister. Also prayers for Judy. She is heartbroken over the loss off two horses from the horse rescue place. I hope she can find peace.

Special prayers for Vickie and Butch and family. My heart is breaking for Vickie. I just keep praying. God Bless them. I love you Vickie!!

Wishing everyone a good day.  I will check back in later.

Lots of love and many hugs to all....connie d

Aloha Eileen and OFF family.

Eileen I spilled a diet coke yesterday on my deck and oh what a sticky mess!!  So I feel for you.  Glad you are taking care of yourself too!  I did go to the site of your new home, and it's gorgeous!  I drooled over the low rent.........a 2/2 apartment in Silicon Valley would be at least $2500 a month!!  And it would not be nearly as lovely as yours. I am so happy for you!!

today I am staying home in front of a fan..  It is going to be HOT😅today....over 100 degrees.  My 10 year old grandson is playing in his baseball all stars game this afternoon, and not sure if I will be able to sit out in the sun for even that.

Beautiful Vickie and her beloved Butch are on my mind, too, and I'm sending love along with everyone else.

Connie you are such a strong woman with all u have going on personally u still always think of others and give so much love and support. I wish I had a magic wand to make all the pain go away!!  U r so easy to love❤️❤️❤️

I hope today brings good things to all of us!!  Aloha nui loa🌴🌴

You guys do know we didn't get tthat apartment because I have an eviction on my record? Two places turned us down. The plan now is for Gary to move into my present apartment while we wait for something to open up.

Greeting Eileen and Ladies,

I spent the day taking care of the things that needed it, so I can leave for Pennsylvania tomorrow.  I had a lot of stuff to take care of, and now I'm home, and getting ready to start packing.  I've been going nonstop, except for lunch, since first thing this morning.

I'll be staying at my sis-in-law, Kathy's, about ten minutes from my sister, Eileen.  She's going to drive the two hours to get Mom tomorrow.  Then, she's bringing her right back to her house.

Please pray for Mom, plus for my drive.

I keep all of you in my prayers, especially Vickie and Butch.

Love,

Trish

Good Evening Ladies.  I stated this post earlier, but kept getting interrupted.

Jim went to his new doctor yesterday....I was very impressed with him.  Even though he looks like he just started college last week.  Jim is being put on the list for a liver transplant. Finally learned his MELD (Model for End-Stage Liver Disease) is 15, which just qualifies him for being placed on the list (score of 15 and over you go on the list).  We met with the Transplant Team Coordinator, and will be scheduled for numerous appointments for various classes and testing. Also, he will be scheduled for regular "Taps" (Paracentesis procedure where fluid build-up is drained from your abdomen) - he will get one done next week.  At least now he will not have to go through the ordeal of going through the Emergency Room to have it done - it will be scheduled as an out-patient procedure.  He'll be starting medication for his Hep-C also - although the doctor aid if they can't cure the Hep-C, he could receive a Hep-C liver, and they would then treat him for Hep-C again post-op.  There are different classes of Hep-C with different Genotypes; Genotype One is the most curable, he has Genotpe Three.  So, we will be busy with appointments from now on.

One of the things he has been told in the past is he has to get a lot of protein in -- "as much as he can".  At least 100 grams.  Basically, he should be drinking protein shakes and eating meat - which I thought was great, because that's what both of us should be eating.  But he's still talking about macaroni salad and various "side dishes" -- I mentioned that's fine as long as he's getting his protein in, but he's not interested in protein shakes.  I tried to explain "the numbers" -- and that protein drinks will be essential if he has to have 100 grams of protein...but as usual, he knows best.  He "hears" differently than I do, I guess.  He doesn't eat a lot, and he won't get a lot of protein with his usual diet:  1-2 eggs with cheese for breakfast with toast and/or home fries and dinner of about 3-4 oz. of protein, with pasta salad or rice, and "condiments" such as marinated mushrooms, or macaroni salads.  Not enough protein.  But he doesn't like shakes.  I can only do so much.  He's too big to put in a high chair and feed.

Spent about three hours mowing my lawn today -- the back yard hadn't been done at all this year....so now front, back and side lawns have been done!!  The yard looks great.  Now Jim wants the computer-so off I go.

Prayers and good wishes to all!

Mary
