So many of us are so blessed by our sisters who KNOW how we feel!

This group got me through hard times when I first had surgery in 2006. Now, nine years later, I am blown away by the support and love that is here every day. From WLS sharing, we now share life and death experiences and challenges way beyond our surgeries.

vickie, I can only imagine what u r going through, but I love how you are loving your husband through this transition we must all go through. I only hope I can have your perspective when my time comes, or when it's my loved ones.

Hi Maui Karen...this is what this board is all about. We are always here for each other. When one has an issue we all jump in. We give support and we give love and caring all the time. We try not to judge. We have a lot of good ideas to share!!

It is so wonderful to have such a great group of caring and loving people. We are so lucky to have each other!!!

Karen....we love to hear from you and hope you will post more often as you can.

I love our family here.  My only regret about this beautiful group is that geography prevents us from being able to physically be with each other through the good times and bad.  I have had the privilege of meeting some of our sisters, like Laureen back home, and Jo and Carla.  I wish I had the finances to travel more.  I would be in Texas to help Vickie, and in Minnesota to visit Connie in a heartbeat.  I sometimes feel helpless just sitting at my keyboard, typing words instead of holding a hand, or hugging someone.

Trish, like you, and I'm sure everyone else here, I wish we were all closer together geographically so we could meet and have the opportunity give support in person.  But I know the words that we type are very important -- we have the freedom to share our secrets here, rejoice in our accomplishments and cry, rant and rave without fear of misunderstanding.

Do not feel inadequate in any way -- why do you think we all come back day after day?  This is our safe place - the place where we are not misunderstood.  IRL, I have no one I can share with the way I share here.  

Now chin up girl!!!
