What wonderful memories those moments of waking clarity will be~   In your quiet moment of grief its the small quiet moments between the two of you and your girls that will be there.   Prayers continue to uphold all of you .

I think Butch talking about his grandmother is evidence he is in transition & she is the one appointed to escort him home. We don't really know what the death process involves despite the 'white light' we all hear about, but I have heard more about dying ppl calling out or talking to dead ones prior to their passing like you mention above.

Yes, it is tough to think about as you know the end is closer, but it is VERY spiritual & comforting! It just reinforces to me that my belief that there is a God & Heaven is real & that a special person we loved comes to get us for the journey safely Home. Sounds like he is in the midst...

Oh Vicki...life and death it amazes me!!! How some can go into hospice and live long and others its a matter of hours...I think you should write a book for the kids so that when they are older they can read what a wonderful life you and Butch had!!! It IS a WONDERFUL LIFE!!! I have never in my life known anyone have such a love like you both have.
