Hello sistas. Butch is still holding on but he is pretty much sleeping full time now. He is very peaceful. They have told me to watch for changes in his color or breathing. So far

his breathing is very regular. His blood pressure is quite low today. Every day brings us a little closer to "travel" day. The doctor and nurses here at hospice are amazed at how strong - willed he is, but those of us who know him are not. He will do death the same way he has always done life: full tilt and no holds barred. I am by his side, of course, and I have plenty of support. Just keep my darling in your prayers. I will post if anything changes. Love you all.

Hello Vickie....so glad to see your post.

You are right...he was quite the man and still is....he does everything full tilt and no holds barred!!! That is the man he has always been.

I know you will continue to remain at his side. You do have so many people praying and so much support...you will get through this.

I will not stop praying for Butch, you or your family. You know how much I care.

I will be watching for more updates as time goes by. I know things are the same if you haven't posted. I love you my friend!!

God Bless you all....what a wonderful family!!

More love and bunches of hugs to you all....connie d

Prayers are ongoing Vickie.  I'm glad Butch is peaceful.  My Mom slipped away that way, and I was lucky enough to be there holding her hand at the time.  God is watching over you, and will welcome Butch home soon.

Peaceful is good Vickie   that means out of pain.   ANd part of his peace is you by his side.   May God continue to hold your family close.  Prayers continue from our house for all of you.

Vickie,

I am so grateful for you that you can be by his side, and say your goodbyes. I never had that opportunity with either of my brothers, or my father.  It is good he is peaceful, and not in pain.  That is such a blessing for both of you.  He will go at just the right time, on his, and God's terms.

I love you, and continue to pray.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
