It is Tuesday....how is everyone?

Good morning Connie, Jeannie and everyone to come,

Did not get a chance to stop by here yesterday. It started with the dentist, just a cleaning but still, don't like to go there. It was the first time I went there that the tech checked all around my neck, my throat, under my tongue, in the back of my mouth, asked me if I always used sunscreen. I was kind of glad she did this because my Dad died of mouth cancer (from smoking 4 packs a day for years), but it took me aback! Wish my regular doctor were this thorough!

After that, I visited all the stores around there (his office is in a nice strip mall) didn't buy anything and finally mosied on home. My dog was so happy, you would think I was gone for a week, my cats could not have cared less if I came home or not, as long as there were food and water around...

Not going out today, it's supposed to be over 100 deg. and strong storms this evening.

I am thinking about Butch, Vickie and the girls and praying for them to have peace within. It is always harder for those staying behind because there is that empty spot. But he will be watching over them.

Not intending to do much today, but you never know, I'm good at getting myself into a jam, like taking things apart and not being able to put them back together...

Prayers to all who need them and many hugs,

Monique

Hi Monique,

Where do you live where it's 100 degrees?  We were in the 80's yesterday, which was gorgeous.

I have never had such a thorough check of my mouth and neck by anyone at the dentist's.  Interesting.

Hugs.

I live in Hanover County, north of Richmond, Va. I would love to have low 80's. I don't know how people do it without A/C. There are cooling shelters open, but you cannot bring your pets. I feel they get just as hot as people do, so there should be some places they can get out of the heat also. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler, in the low 90's, but then get back into the mid to high 90's for a while.

Hugs.

Yes, I totally agree that pets should have a place to cool down.  Even with our mild temps at times, I have the AC running, because of my horrific allergies.  Plus, the sun heats my place up, and I get those wonderful power surges of warmth my personal summers give me.

Hugs,

Trish

Hello Monique....I was wondering if you left us yesterday...LOL!! You were missed!

I am glad your dentist tech is so thorough. My sister's tech found her jaw/neck cancer....she had no idea!! I am blessed to have a doctor that is so thorough and cares so much. My dentist is awesome too! Sorry about your dad.

A little window shopping is fun...I never get to do that anymore. I go in and get out as quickly as possible. I am hoping that will change down the road sometime!

I know everyone here is keep Vickie and Butch foremost on their minds. We continue to pray and send love. That just doesn't feel like enough some days!

Stay in and keep cool...100 degree's I couldn't handle with my COPD. It is cooler here today with a high of 78.  have to go grocery shopping when my ride gets here about 1:00 PM.

Have a good day...love and lots of hugs...connie d

Good Morning Everyone!

Monique, I am with you. It is forecasted to be close to 100 degrees today along with 100% humidity. I was actually hot while in the pool YESTERDAY so I can imagine today! They are saying a high in the 70's this wkend...we'll see. If it is this hot in June I hate to see the dog days of August!

Connie, I am so sorry to feel you had problems sleeping. Maybe it was the result of your therapy session...that 'awakens' a lot of stuff. I have been in & out of therapy over the years, and like was said earlier I have dealt w/stuff but it is still there. I have always held on too tight in life...

Tri****'s funny how our pets...(especially dogs b/c I have always been partial to them) can be just like us humans. Poor Utley! I can imagine his fear. I cannot imagine living in an area w/the tornado warnings...I would be in a constant state of anxiety. And it seems like they are in areas they have rarely or never been in before. Ugh!

Monique, I do not even attempt to take things apart b/c I cannot put ANYTHING together! My oldest daughter took after her dad who could fix anything, and she could do the electric wires in lamps & ceiling fixtures, build things and fix anything from toilets to siding by the time she was a teen!! So I call her when I need something...even my husband is not that gifted!

I just plan to swim today & straighten up. Too hot for any projects! I pray Vickie is doing okay & Butch is peaceful.

will ck back in later

Hello Kathy....you have some pretty crazy weather there too!! Don't overdo...this weather can kill you!!

Yes...like I said to Trish and Jeannie...things do come out sometimes whether you are ready for it or not!! I have been in therapy for at least 30+ years....now you know how crazy I am!! Lots of pain and heartache but hey...I AM A SURVIVOR!! We all have times when things get triggered and we end up in the past. I hate when that happens. I am so happy I had a session yesterday!! I do have a lot of coping mechanisms and I do know what to do. It is the reliving of events and how worn out I feel afterwards.  We all have our baggage. I am so thankful to God for always finding me the best therapist when one retires. I have been at this center for many years. Everyone knows me...in a good way!

Enjoy your pool...check the water to be sure it isn't too hot...no burning please!!

Have a great day...I love you...hugs....connie d

Hi Kathy,

I just found out that a tornado touched down in Pitman, NJ, where my niece, her hubby and baby live.  Praise God that they are in the Outer Banks with her Mom.  Some water came through a leaky window, and some tree branches down, but nothing serious.  If you were at 100, I can't imagine what they have down in North Carolina.

Stay safe.

Yup, they had that on Action News last night! Showed the damage & were interviewing those who got hit hardest!

I didn't see NC's forecast, but it was bad here last night. High winds, sky looked like it was on fire...then black as midnite at dinnertime.

I honestly do not remember this kind of weather we've had the past 5 years or so!

Stay safe!

Kathy
