Monday, Monday (Bah daaah, bah daa daa dah)!
Hi Christine and my OFF family:
It's hard to read all these posts without crying a bit. We have such a wonderful, caring family. People come and go, but new people come in and share their lives, their joys and sorrows. We've lost some to death (some you don't know, like Aime Brayton, Joyce Stewart) and some just have left after several years on the board. We pull together when times are rough and when times are good. Right now, our hearts are with Vickie and Butch.
Vickie, I'm glad you are getting some sunshine and sleep and your daughters are making sure you're eating. Butch seems to be fighting death valiantly.
As for me, I got up early even though I was tired and went to the Y. The regular instructor was back even though she had hip replacement five weeks ago. She taught the class before mine, started our class and then handed it off to one of the regular students. Seems someone forgot to schedule an instructor. We did fine. I stopped off at Lowe's, next door to the Y, after to buy a fan for my work desk ... it's awfully warm at work for some reason. And it's in the 90s again today and humid. Looks and feels like rain again.
I need a nap before I go to work, so I'm going to sign off. Big hugs to y'all.
Hello Eileen....I was just thinking the other day how much I miss Aime. She was so sweet and kind. I forgot about Joyce....that was a real shocker too! I hope her hubby is doing okay. We sure had and have had some wonderful people on this board. It sure feels like home!!!
The last few weeks we have given our hearts to Vickie and Butch...you are so right about that!! That is what we do!!
I am glad you went to the Y. That is strange that they missed scheduling an instructor for today. Doesn't anyone check to see who is working the next day...LOL! It sounds like you did well and had a good time anyway! Good for you going even when you were tired!!!
I hope the fan helps keep the air moving so you can be cooler at your desk. Don't they have A/C?
Have a good night...love you...HUGS...connie d
