Good Morning....it is Thursday.....so what's new today??

Good morning my beautiful friends....

I will start the thread as I don't see one started. I had the weirdest thing happen last night. I was watching a movie and all of a sudden I felt ill...I thought I was going to pass out...I barely got to my bed...and crashed. I woke up this morning and am still just weak and feeling kind of off. Oh well ...onward I go!!!

So what is new with all of you???

I am...as all of us are...praying for our sweet Vickie and Butch and their family. I wish that was all just a bad dream...nightmare!! I love them so much!

Not a thing planned today except my walk. Time to let my body recover...I think it is just worn down. I need to rest up for my grandchildren and the cleaning out if the storage unit this weekend. They said I will be in the corner directing them from a chair!! They mean it too!!!

Prayers for our loving OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for Judy and her sister. I hope she is better soon.

Hey Connie & All Ladies to Follow!

Your 'crash' does not sound good! Do you have diabetes or low blood pressure? The fact that you seemed to have overdone it yesterday and then felt ill is not cool. If it happens again please get a dr. appt. Does anyone check in w/you regularly? I always say as much as I hate going to the doctor I much rather go voluntarily than by ambulance!!!

It is really hot & humid here. If it is that hot out there and you still don't feel good this wkend listen to your body & postpone the storage shed. Even sitting outside can take it's toll if it is one of those 'code purple' (poor air quality) days..

I have been on the computer most of the morning...too hot to feel motivated to do much. I always feel better after being in the pool & in the evenings so I am going to eat lunch & head out. Today is Jazz's last day of school. I am excited for some day trips & a little beach vacation!

I hope to hear from Vickie today. I pray for them every night!

Hello Kathy....no need to worry....I sent an email to my doctor's nurse....she got back to me already...they think it is a combination of the heat and humidity and just all I had to do this last week. My blood pressure is perfect...just had that checked on Tuesday at my doctor visit and all my blood levels are great. I also had blood work taken for diabetes a couple weeks ago...it was perfect too. I used to be diabetic but haven't been since my WLS. I promised the nurse/doctor I will monitor my blood pressure and periodically monitor insulin counts. I have my PB monitor and insulin test strips and all out and near me. I keep them in the basket under the seat in my walker...that walker is with me all the time! I promise you I will be checking it out!!  

I have a Life Line bracelet...it was just tested yesterday to be sure all was well. No need to worry. I just felt really strange!! My daughter's and grandchildren are always checking on me. I also have a neighbor here that we check on each other. She has my medical information and my daughter's phone numbers as well. 

I will be fine...really!!! Thanks for caring sweetie!!

It is cool here in Chicago today. I just got back from Starbucks with Vinnie. She was a tyrant there!!! So we cut it short and I brought her home and put her down for a nap! I'm not taking her out this afternoon without a nap! She is a mommy soursous today!!!

We r gearing up to leave in Saturday. I'll be glad to get home to my bed!!!

ive got the camping itch! I going to plan some camping outings! I want to go to the Louisiana coast!

OK Carla, I have to ask....what kind of camping do you do?  When I was growing up, our summer vacations consisted of two weeks of tend camping in campgrounds where there were pumps and outhouses, nothing more.  We slept in sleeping bags or military hammocks (with netting).  If there was another campsite within hearing distance, my father considered the campground too crowded.  We had our ice-packed coolers and Mom always made dry cocoa mix and pancake mix so we just had to add water.  We had a Coleman two-burner stove for cooking, and lanterns for light.  Very different from today's campgrounds!

Hi Mary,

Right now I tent camp with all the gear. I just naught a 1999 Ford Expedition to camp with. I'm hoping to purchase a used popup next year I r a small travel trailer so I can be gone in the summers.

I'm hoping to hit up the state parks on Ling weekends in Florida Georgia and Alabama and Louisiana thus sumner. StayING north where it is cooler.

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

I hope you are feeling better today, Connie. I had an all-day headache yesterday after running around from store to store and then doing laundry. I think it was being out in the heat and humidity. I couldn't shake it. It took lying in bed with the ice pack to finally get rid of it. I felt fine this morning. Went to the Y and felt good in the pool. There's still a boil advisory for a lot of the area around there, including the Starbucks (although I wasn't planning on stopping there anyway). Some of the restaurants are opening again. The Y had a jug of water in the pool for the kids to drink because they couldn't use the water cooler yet. Big water main break and it's taking a while to fix. Might be until Friday until all is well. 

So I go back to work today ... wish I had another day off. Still tired. I just did too much yesterday but still feel I have a lot more to get done. 

Hope Vickie and Butch are OK and Butch is out of pain for now.

Hello Eileen...I am glad your headache finally went away. It is nice that you got to go to the pool today. I am sure you enjoyed that. 

That sure is awhile to have the water shut off/boiling order. I hope they get it finished by tomorrow!!

It does sound like you did to much yesterday. You are like me in the fact that I always need to get everything done in a day!!

I am sitting here typing and I am feeling weird again. This is strange. I am going to lay down now.

I too pray all is going well for Vickie and Butch!! I also hope she got to sleep in her own bed last night and that Carrie watched over Butch for her.
