Long lost sister back!
hello to all the wonderful women on this forum!! I used to be known as "Maui Karen" because I lived on Maui for 13 years. I joined this group before my WLS in 2006. I weighed around 325 lbs!! Today, nine years later I weigh 150 lbs, and I am 5' 10" tall. So actually I am thin as some people keep telling me😃
my life took a serious turn about a year ago when I moved to Santa Cruz, CA. My son, DIL and 3 little grandsons live here (6, 8, and 10). I didn't want to miss out on being their grandmother from so far away. They call me "tutu" which is grandma in Hawaii for many.
While my life has turned upside down, as soon as I had access to a computer, I came back to OFF and read every day. So many old friends still here 9 years later: Connie, Eileen, Vickie, Trish, Jeannie, and others I've forgotten at the moment. And welcome to the newcomers!! I know you will find acceptance, support and love here.
Vickie I have followed your story closely and wish I could just hug you. The love affair you and Butch have is one of life's greatest gifts!!

Your son and his family are so blessed to have you there. I know how much you love them. I also know this move was a hard decision to make. We are all happy you are back!!!

I have also been praying you'd come back. I totally understand why you would move closer to the kids. I did the same thing.
