Good Morning Sistas!!  Time for my "first cuppa" - BRB after I push the magic coffee button -- I always set up the pot before I go to bed.  It's a "one cup" machine, but not a Keurig.  No pods, just a regular small filter.

Back! Went to my cardio appt. yesterday, no issues there.  Finished up at 3:45, and decided at last minute to go over to the Weight Center for a 4:00 Support Group Meeting.  Got there, and there was no one else there.  Waited a while and the Nutritionist came in -- so I had a "private session" with her, which was great.  She asked me if I had my one year follow-up and I confessed that I cancelled the appts. because I was embarrassed as I have not been doing well  -- have not gained weight, but have stayed the same for a few months.  So we had a long talk and reviewed some things, and I rescheduled my appts. with her and the surgeon.  Told me now is the time to keep the appts. - when I'm having trouble.  I'm committing to going to these monthly meetings on the first Thursday of the month, along with the other support group on the third Thursday of the month -- which is very well attended.  As Macie said to me, like I've said to Vickie -- we have to take care of ourselves if we want to be able to take care of loved ones.  I think most people are alike - easy to see solutions to other people's problems, but hard to look at our own issues because it is such an emotional thing.

Got some Red Snapper fish last night - will check allrecipes, etc. for a recipe.

Hope you all have a good day.  Prayers and good wishes to all.

Good Morning Mary & to all who follow!

I missed posting yesterday, but I did read what everyone said. Of course I won't remember it all!

First, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICKIE! I hope you got to enjoy your day!

Mary, glad all went well at cardiologist plus you got to meet w/dietician one on one. Funny how things can work out, huh? I think it will really help you out to see the surgeon, etc...there is no shame in slipping up. The important thing is to get back on track as soon as you can. and you have had those issues w/Jim's health to sidetrack you as well as depression. You're worth it to be the best you can be!

Eileen, it has rained here all freaking week...3 days after we got the pool open. I am SO pissed! I was so looking forward to getting in & doing my water exercises to let up on my knees from the walking. So I know how you feel. Hopefully the Y gets theirs fixed so you can get back to the pool there. I know you enjoy it!

Christine, it was good to hear from you. I know you are really busy w/work, and your post certainly confirmed that. WOW, a lot of running around. Just stop in to let us know how you're doing...I like to hear what you have to say.

Connie, I have been looking for your friend request on FB, but have not seen it yet. Were you able to find me? I hope all is well with you.

Jim is dancing around like he has to pee...wants me to go with him to Walmart RIGHT NOW... so gonna hop off mid-stream. Will check in later. Everyone have a great day!

Hello Kathy.....No I couldn't figure out which one was you....too many....could you just send me a friend request instead?? I am a ditzy blonde!!!

I was wondering where you were yesterday. Glad you are back today!

I am doing okay. It feels good to be able to get around better these last couple days. Partly cloudy today and maybe rain later. We never did get those thunder storms yesterday...YAY!!

I was just talking to my granddaughter, Amanda about the cleaning out of my storage, in a couple weeks. I think we have it all figured out now. I look forward to seeing them soon! I will be soooo happy when that is DONE!!!

I spoke with my grandson, Lucas, he is Amanda and Kyleigh's brother. He still plans on coming here to stay with me a bit this summer. He got a job. He said, he will get his schedule worked out because he really wants to spend some time with me. He is so sweet no wonder I call him my "My Sugar Boy". I can't believe he will be 17 next month!! They sure have grown up fast!!

I hope you can get that pool up soon. Darn rain!!

Have a good day!!

Lots of love and oodles of hugs.....connie d

Good morning Mary....I am so proud of you for staying and having a session with your Nutritionist. It probably was a blessing in disguise that you were the only one there. You had a good session and were able to talk more freely. I am happy to know you are going back to the support groups. They will give you strength and information to help you along. Also happy that you will be going back to see the surgeon and the nutritionist. That is right...they are only there to help not judge. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!

I hope you find a recipe for the red snapper....enjoy!!

I used to love my coffee!! Something changed and it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I have two bags of coffee I ground and put in my freezer. It stays fresher that way. Strange huh? If I go somewhere I might have a cup but I haven't made any in quite a long time. Even Caribou isn't appealing and I use to have to get one if I was anywhere near the place!!! I will have to give it away  if I don't change my mind soon.

I hope you are feeling more rested today. I was starting to worry about you. You seemed so worn down and not as happy as usual. You had a lot going on at the time. Maybe that was it.

As for me .....not a lot happening here. Remember how I was going to relax yesterday. That didn't happen. I had lots of calls and sat out and visited with the other puzzle ladies for too long. Then I started puttering around here cleaning out some drawers and things. I am working hard on getting rid of things I just don't use/need. I have eight totes of Christmas decorations and things. I have a couple friends that have a company that take things and sell it for you. You get a portion of the sales. I may call them. I have a huge bell collection, all my crystal, and other things. The kids don't want it so I might as well get rid of it. There are things my daughters and grandchildren have requested so of course I will keep those. I really want to minimize.

I still need to get a walk in so I am going to go for one now. I will check in again later.

Prayers for our loving OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for Butch and Vickie. I hope Butch feels better today and has a appetite again. Extra prayers for Judy. I know she is concerned about her surgeries...and prayers for her sister.

Have a happy day and take some time for yourself!!!

Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d

I'm stopping in quick.  I had an appointment this morning, then stopped at Colleen's on the way home.  I'd lost one of my iPhone charging cords at her house, and she found it late last night.  It's the one I keep in my car, and I use it when I'm there watching Frankie.  Used to use her cord, coz we both had an iPhone 4, but now that I have a 5S, my cord is entirely different now.

I need to get the dog hair off the floor.  Utley is shedding in clumps, and he looks like he is molting.  It's pitiful.  So's my floor.

Praying.

Love,

Trish

Hello Trish....so glad Colleen found your cord...it is crazy how we lay things down and then lose them. I swear I have ghosts that play tricks on me!!

This time of year is shedding times for dogs...I remember when I had one. Lots of clumps and hair everywhere!!

I hope you can find some time for yourself today!!

Lots of love and many hugs to you....connie d

hello sweet sistas, this will be short. On my phone.  I changed Butch tto a different hospice today.Long story. We are in an in --patient care facility tonight in San Antonio.  I had to do something. This past week has been horrible.  Last night was the worst yet. but this place feels good.  This place feels right. Everyone has been so sweet and kind and gentle. And they assure me that they can relieve his pain. I just pray that it is so. We may be here several days. They won't send him home until they have his pain management under control. I feel such a sense of relief. I feel like I could sleep for three days, I am so tired. I will spend tonight here but if all goes well I will go home to sleep tomorrow night. Love you all.

Give in to that need to sleep Vickie.  That's relief coming through, plain and simple.

I am so glad you found a place so mittened to relieving Butch's pain!

Vickie -- I hope you found "the right place" -- sounds very promising.  I hope you and Butch can find peace now.

Oh Vickie...I knew something was going on...I am so sorry you had such a rough week. I am happy you got Butch to a facility that can help. I am sorry Hospice didn't do what they should have been doing. This just sounds like a nightmare for you.

Is this place close to your home? It will be nice if you can sleep in your own bed now and then. I am  feeling so bad that you are so tired and could sleep for days. Now someone else can help Butch and you can rest now and then. Hopefully Butch will get his rest and manage to get more energy too.

Prayers...Prayers....Prayers....day and night.

I was so hoping things were getting better and you and Butch could enjoy your birthday Sunday with your family. It is so hard to make plans when someone is that sick.

God Bless you both. I love you ...always! I have you safely tucked in my heart.

Love and many hugs to you....connie d
