Good morning sistas,

I'm surprised to be the first on the board today.  This will be brief, as my tail is draggin' today.  We had an AWFUL night!  Oh, just terrible.  That new medicine? The liquid morphine?  OMG, NO!  Not only did it not control Butch's pain, but it made him nauseous as well.  Plus, I was up every 4 hours giving him another dose.  11 p.m, 3 p.m., 7 a.m., . . .   And all the times in between when he was vomiting or I was giving him a break through pain pill, etc.  No more of that stuff!

And he was in pain, dammit.  I just can't stand it.

Already called hospice.  We are back on the oxycontin today until Dr. Garcia decides to try something different.  So Butch is finally resting.  He's had a toradol and an oxycontin this morning, so he's pretty well knocked out.

I got up and got showered and dressed.  Have to take Mom to the doctor this afternoon to get her stitches out.  My SIL Karen is coming over to stay with Butch while we're gone.

Had lots of plans for the day, but I'm too pooped to remember them.  Mostly I just want to close my eyes.

Love you all so much!  Loved every one of your sweet notes yesterday.  I tried to "Like" them all.  If I missed one, I'm sorry.

My heart breaks for you whenever I read your posts, Vicki.  If wishes could take your heartache, exhaustion and Butch's pain away, life would be wonderful.  As always I am thinking of you, praying for your both and sending love.

Hello Judy...I am happy everything is okay. I am glad you are having the laser surgery with another doctor!! I wish they could get this figured out or do a hysterectomy!! You aren't in your child baring years.  I sure do think if you have had this issue for all those years it should qualify for insurance. You should have a ton of doctor reports from all the doctors you have seen in a lifetime!! Keep fighting for it!!!

I am glad you are finally getting away for a little while. Your mom will be so surprised and so will your sister!!

Good night...HUGS....connie d

Vic,

I am so sorry that Butch is suffering.  Let's hope they get the right pain medication, even if they have to resort to giving him injections for the night pain.  Or give him a morphine pump.  He has a good advocate in you and while I am so sorry you are dealing with this, I know you are up to the challenge of being his advocate and saying, this isn't working, fix it.

I hope things are better tonight

Ladies,

Today I am staying at work to work on my end of the year report.  It isn't due until July; however, I am going to be gone next week for almost two weeks, and then July will be here, so I have to get it done.  My husband is bringing me some watermelon...yeah.

My cyst on my back has not done any strange things since my sicko friend popped it and she keeps texting me to let her check it and I say, go away and find someone else's back to squeeze. LOL   She is sick.

Every year, the Walmart Shareholders convention is held on our campus and they are all here.   Big buses are rolling up and down the road, taking them to their dorms.   A few minutes ago, a group of Koreans from Korea were outside my office eating BBQ turkey legs, drinking large cokes, and looking at maps....I couldn't help myself and went out and said, can I help you and after much sign language and a few words that they knew in English, I figured out they want to go to the nearest Walmart so I took them to the bus stop, gave them a note to give the bus driver, told them they don't have to pay, and told them keep money in pocket....

Life around campus is never dull: if it isn't some student crisis it's something else. LOL.   On a side note, I've never seen a BBQ turkey leg as big as the ones they were eating.

Well, Ladies, have a peaceful night.   and Vic, I've said already, but I hope tonight you get rest...worst case scenario, call an ambulance and have them take him to the ER for a pain shot.   He shouldn't have to suffer.

Love you All,

Hi Vickie and mmy OFF family:

I'm writing this on my tabletwith Juliette on my lap. My two laptops are talking to each other, transferring files. Software says it'll take 10 hours. Yikes!

Vickie, sorry about your bad night. Also sorry the point size went down. I'll try to fix that. Hope hospice can find something to fix Butch's pain.

Me, I went to the Y this morning, then to have my boobs squished. They did 3-D imaging; kind ofcool. Then I had my psych appointment. Stopped to by some cards on the 2ay home. Nearly 4 p.m. when I go home. Started laundry, have dinner and now resting a little.
