Too tired Tuesday

Good morning sistas,

I'm surprised to be the first on the board today.  This will be brief, as my tail is draggin' today.  We had an AWFUL night!  Oh, just terrible.  That new medicine? The liquid morphine?  OMG, NO!  Not only did it not control Butch's pain, but it made him nauseous as well.  Plus, I was up every 4 hours giving him another dose.  11 p.m, 3 p.m., 7 a.m., . . .   And all the times in between when he was vomiting or I was giving him a break through pain pill, etc.  No more of that stuff!

And he was in pain, dammit.  I just can't stand it.

Already called hospice.  We are back on the oxycontin today until Dr. Garcia decides to try something different.  So Butch is finally resting.  He's had a toradol and an oxycontin this morning, so he's pretty well knocked out.

I got up and got showered and dressed.  Have to take Mom to the doctor this afternoon to get her stitches out.  My SIL Karen is coming over to stay with Butch while we're gone.  

Had lots of plans for the day, but I'm too pooped to remember them.  Mostly I just want to close my eyes.

Love you all so much!  Loved every one of your sweet notes yesterday.  I tried to "Like" them all.  If I missed one, I'm sorry.

Good morning Vickie and everyone....oh  honey...I so want things to settle down for you. You are running  constantly.I can imagine how totally exhausted you must be. 

I hope the appointment with your mom goes quickly and you are able to get in a nap this afternoon.It is nice that Karen came and sat with Butch. 

I am so sorry that the morphine didn't help Butch. I can't take morphine either as I get very sick from it. I react badly to it too!

I hope you don't remember any plans you had for today and catch up on your rest a bit!!!

I love you so much....always here for you...ALWAYS!

As for me...I am actually feeling pretty good today. I thhink I am over the hump of whatever it was. I do feel stronger today that is for sure! Thank you all for caring so much...I love you all!!!

I haven't planned anything for today. I am still going to lay low for another day or so. I will do my walk no matter what!

Not much else to report. I sure missed replying to everyone.

I do have some paperwork to get caught up on and I will do that this afternoon after I walk.

My kids are almost at the tail end of moving. I and Carl were on Vinnie patrol.

Vickie my heart goes out to Butch and yOu. We had Hospice when my dad was Sick.They r wonderful. They not only take care of the patient they take care of the family.

Liz it out with her dad and I'm here with Vinnie. I just put her down for a nap. I hope she naps for a couple of hours.

we r here for another ten days.

we were in Waterloo Ia for two days over the weekend. We saw friends that we haven't seen in over ten years.

TEN more days  WOW....that is a long time. I am glad the kids are about done with the move. They are lucky to have you and your hubby there to entertain Vinnie so they can get the new place in order. You are always so good to them!!

I am sure you enjoyed your time over the weekend with your friends. So what did you all do?? You had a lot of catching up to do!!

Our friends mother is turning 80 in August. So she is giving up her dance studio that she has had for sixty three years. We went to her last dance recital and a picnic. Then in the way home we Stopped in a resort town that is much like Estes Park Co called Galena and walked around for a bit. I haven't been there in 36 Years.

Good Afternoon Vickie and OFF Family,

I'm sorry Butch had a bad reaction to the morphine.  I had the same reaction to it.  The strongest pain meds I've taken, that didn't make me throw up, were both IV's.  Demerol and Dilaudid.  I have no clue if they're available in some oral form.  

You both stay in my prayers.

I was at Colleen's at 7:30 this morning.  It was VIP day in the Kindergartens at the kids' school, so she went with Lincoln.  At lunch time we met at McDonald's, and I treated for lunch.  Frankie and I played all morning, and he loved seeing Lincoln at lunch.  Plus, a lot of Lincoln's friends from school were at McDonald's.  I got my usual salad, the boys got Happy Meals, of course.

Now that I'm home, I have so many things I need to do, and I can't decide where to start.

Hello Trish.....I get the same meds you do for pain...like with surgeries and such. IV of course too!! I am allergic to so many pain medications...I sure couldn't be a druggy!!

That was nice of you to take everyone out to lunch. It sounds like you had such a fun time with Frankie and at McDonalds!!!

I have phone calls to finish that I didn't get to yesterday.  I also have some paperwork to get filled out and sent in.
