Hello Christine.......you are getting stronger and doing so awesome with your WLS!!! Isn't it wonderful how we now can pay attention to the littlest things and enjoy ourselves so much!!

I also have my A/C on...it was too humid in here for me. I love walking outside and hope to be able to continue that portion of my walk. It was pretty hard breathing out there. My lungs don't like it much! I have COPD and Asthama.

WOW...that DVD sounds great. Congrats to you for making another stride in your program with weights!!!! Woooohoo!!!! I am glad your knees were not hurting!!

I am sure you will look super good when you play with your band!! I would definitely bring on the bling!!   Wear large hoop earrings and maybe a couple cute bracelets/necklace. Never too much bling for me!! I wish you lived closer so I could hear your band! I am sure people are going to notice your weight loss and also all your extra energy too!!! Have a great time!!!

YAY...on getting your presentation completed!! YOU ROCK!!

Lots of love and hugs to you honey....connie d

Good morning Francine and everyone....

Francine...I hope you can find volunteers to help you as well. Everywhere people are looking for volunteers. Things are not like they once were. Everyone works so much and are gone on weekends to the lake or wherever. They don't think they have time. If I felt well I would be out volunteering somewhere!! I hope that if I keeping getting stronger and able to help!!

I am so glad you are doing your stretches. They are so important to do. I do mine before I get out of bed. It helps me to move more freely. God Bless you!!

As for me.... I just came in from my walk. It was nice and breezy outside. High in the low 80's today....tomorrow back to the low 60's. It is clouding up a bit and we will be getting thunderstorms soon.

I have nothing planned for the day. I may go and sit outside for a bit after lunch. I will take my Nook and read!! It will depend on the weather and how high the humidity will be by then.

I spoke with mu youngest granddaughter, Gracie last night. She is head over heals about coming to stay with me!! She also had to tell me all about yesterday being her last day of 2nd grade!! I heard about everything they did and where they went. I laughed and laughed!! She just lights up my day!!

I am praying that all is going well for Butch and Vickie today. I so hope Vickie got a better nights sleep!! I also am wondering if she liked the second Hospice service she was to connect with today.

Prayers for all our wonderful OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for all those in so much pain and illness.

I will be back later....have a beautiful day!!!!

I love every one of you!!!  We are all so blessed.

Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d!!

Greetings Francine and OFF,

What a fun, and glorious day it is!!!  I got to spend the day with Frankie.  Colleen and Trent are spending the day planting pumpkin seeds, with friends.  They plant together, and harvest together, then in October, they sell them and split the profits.  Izzy and Lincoln still have school, so Colleen came into town to pick them up, and also to get Frankie.

I took Frankie to a really cool playground.  While there, we had a picnic lunch.  After lunch, we went bowling.  The Kids Bowl Free program started, so I saved money.  If anyone wants to sign up, go to www.kidsbowlfree.com  Every week they send an e-mail with a link to print the tickets, or if you have a smart phone, or iPad, just open your email on your device, click the link, and show it at the bowling alley.  When you sign up, you choose the bowling alley near you that participates.  Kids can bowl two games free.  Still have to pay for shoe rental, but when I take all three kids I save about $12.

Before Colleen picked up Frankie, he and I stopped at my house for a little while, and I planted more of my flowers.  I'm going to finish in a little while.

Must scoot.

Hugs, Love and Prayers,

Trish

Hello Trish....I sure don't seem to be getting here very early anymore....always something!!!

What a great idea for Colleen and Trent sharing pumpkins with their friends!!

You sure had a good time with Frankie!! I always loved going to the playground with my kids and now my grandchildren. Packing a lunch was a must!

That bowling free is a great deal!! Even if you have to pay for shoe rental. All kids love to bowl!! You are such a wonderful grandma!!

I am glad Frankie and you got most of your flowers planted!!

Have a great rest of the day..lots of love and hugs...connie d

Hi Francine and my OFF family:

I just got up from after dinner nap. I might have slept longer but people upstairs are playing some weird music very loudly. It's really annoying. Oh well, I got about a half hour.

I went to the Y this morning for my arthritis class ... it felt good and we had a lot of people in class. Then I stopped off at Lowe's for an insectiside my cleaning lady had told me about call Total Defense. It's supposed to keep everything out of your house ... fleas, spiders, ants, roaches ... you just spray it around the outside and they don't come in. Which is good because I woke up this morning and there were ants coming in all over the kitchen window. I sprayed the Raid stuff I bought but they were still all over the place. I have ant traps all over the place too. So then I got this Total Defense stuff. Hope it works.

Back to work tonight. I baked a cake for a coworker's birthday and frosted it when I got home this afternoon. I need to stop back at Walgreens and pick up a prescription before I go to work.

Well, that's what's going on here. I could use a longer nap. Still sleepy. Have a good day. Hope everything is OK with Vickie and Butch and their company.

Posting late today.  Took Jim to his clinic this morning, and when we were leaving he asked me to take him to the hospital - he has been struggling with shortness of breath because of the fluid built up in his abdomen, and it has finally gotten the better of him.  Arrived at the ER around 11:00, and they finally admitted him at 6:00.  He had nothing to eat all day - got him to the room around 6:30 and it was too late for anything but turkey sandwiches, so I had to go down to the cafeteria to get him something hot to eat.  While in the E/R he was screened by seven, yes, seven doctors.  And after the fourth doctor, he finally admitted he has not been taking his medicine as prescribed.  I've been telling him for weeks he should be going to he hospital, but it wasn't until another man at the clinic told him he was not looking good and should be seen at the hospital.  So first they will be giving him medicine intraveneously to get rid of the fluid in his legs, and then they will drain the fluid from his abdomen drawing it out by a large needle.  Not fun, but at least he is getting some help.  I'm pooped - will be going to the hospital tomorrow morning and keep him company.

Hope everyone is doing ok - prayers and good wishes to all.

Mary

Oh, Mary!  I feel your pain.  Of course you are pooped.  You must be exhausted.  Darn that man!  Why he is determined to undermine his own health is a mystery, but YOU are an angel for hanging in there with him.  Kudos, love!
