Wednesday Already...

Wow, you all had such great posts today, in that you are so great about sharing your lives, good, bad and indifferent, with each other.

I had a great time today. I did get back to sleep finally. Got up and went to dunkin for coffee, then to put gas in the van at Costco, then to the bank to get some cash. Need to pay my water aerobics instructor friend for the fabulous pool shoes she bought for me at the international aquatic trainers conference.  Then to the gym. The community center was having a small information fair with companies that provide services to seniors.... Don't knowcif i told yku all that a professional organization i belong to for nurse and social worker case managers asked me to be thier vice president / president elect. (The woman who was VP hadcto resign for health reasons). I was a founding member and former president. Anyway, i spent about 30 minutes going to all the exhibitors introducing myself and telling them about my organization.  It was quite fun. Then up to the gym to work on the nu step for 40 minutes. Then off to the grocery.

That was a one hour venture.  It feels so good to , me that i can do the shopping walking around, not using an handicap cart. I use my rolator walkerand put a basket on the seat and fill it. The store is a regional chain and i know everyone there so i just have them put a cart near the customer service area and when i can't fit anything more on my seat, i off load it in the cart. Then they help me with check out when i am done.

Anyway, it was really hot when i finished. I stopped and oicked up some chicken salad for me  and a sandwhich for my roommate at Jason's Deli on the way home. Got the groceries in the house, the trash and recycle bins out to the curb for pick up tomorrow. Stripped (and i mean peeled ) my sweaty clothes off and put on the coolest thing i could find. THEN i put the groceries away. I did have another coffee, protein bar, and apple bettween all my stops.

I am not sure what happened with my roommate but she got so sick about two hours later. Vomiting, diarrhea, dizzy, hot, then chills... poor baby, i think she got food poisoning. She finally laid down on the living room floor in front of this small fan and is now sleeping. I am going to let her sleep a little while longer, then shew her up to bed. I just hope i can get some liquid in her first. ...   

Well she just woke up and is chilled and still nauseated. ... so i will sign off. .. gees did i ramble on .... golly sorry about that.

Francine....what a wonderful day you had. Congratulations on your new position!! That is great!! So glad you got to speak with so many people. I am sure they just love you there...just like we love you here!!

I am sorry about your roommate getting sick. Are you sure she wasn't just dehydrated?? Her name is Claire am I right? I hope tomorrow is a much better day for her.
