Totally Tuesday
Hi Jeannie and my OFF family:
Getting on here late, but I actually read most of this earlier while I was sitting in Starbucks, after my arthritis aquatics and before my psychologist appointment, sipping on my iced coffee (with SF cinnamon dolce, love that stuff!) and snacking on my Atkins bar. That was lunch. I did join in some deep breathing with y'all while at my psychologist while talking with her; she encouraged it, actually, when I told her of my panic attack on Sunday night. So not quite meditation but deep breathing at least.
So while I was at Starbucks, a guy sat down next to me and asked if he could join me in my office. He was wearing a Yale sweater, and I said, well, you must be smart if you went to Yale. Well, turns out he didn't go there, but he was a patent attorney and a writer of theology and desktop publisher. Among other things. We talked awhile; he grew up near where I grew up, so we had a few things in common (although he didn't remember about the circus elephants that got loose in Franklin Park, my hometown; it made national news in 1966 ... he had to look it up online to find it). Anyway it was fun talking to him. Seems normal but who knows nowadays. I thought Richard was normal and look how that turned out.
Judy, sorry your procedure turned out poorly. Hope something can be worked out. Also hope your mom will be OK.
Jennifer, I have been having fibro flares, but it's my body. Hope you will be OK.
I was going to look at apartments after my appointment but I was just too tired. Picked up a couple of things at the store and went home. Had something to eat, then took a 45-minute nap. I'm just pooped. My neck hurts. Got an icepack on it now.
Don't remember anything else right now. Hope everyone has a good night.
Hello Eileen...you had a busy day!!
Glad you got to the Y and then saw your psychologist too. That iced coffee sounds so good right now...YUM!!! It sounds like you made a new friend at Starbuck's. We never can have enough of them!! I am happy that you had such a nice visit.
I joined in with the deep breathing as well...I was at the cemetery putting out flowers for my mom and dad. I told my cousin, Barb to join me and she did. We both felt more relaxed. Then we finished what we were doing with the flowers. I said a prayer over the grave site and then we left.
Barb stopped at the grocery store so I could get fruit. I have been out for days. I ate some blueberries with my dinner.
I hope your Fibro flare up goes away soon!! You have enough pain you don't need that too. I hope the ice helped your neck feel better.
Have a restful evening....love and hugs to you...connie d
Hello sweet sistas! Active day here. So many posts! Judy, love, I'm sorry about your procedure but I do agree it is time for a second opinion and a different approach.
I just wanted to let y'all know that mom's procedure went fine. She hasn't even needed so much as an aspirin for pain. She got 6 stitches. Much relieved to have that awful thing gone.they'll send it off to be biopsied, of course, but we won't hear back for a few days.
Butch isn't feeling well at all. He says he thinks he might be coming down with the crud I had all last week. Oh please no. I tried to be so careful around him. But he doesn't look well this evening. I'm worried about him being able to withstand another chemo.
Well I'm already in bed so I'll close.I never thought I would see the day when I routinely went to bed before 8 p.m. every night, but here it is. I just crash every night. I'm such an old woman.
Love you all!
Hi Vickie...I hope Butch isn't catching anything. That poor guy!! He doesn't have enough energy or antibodies to fight off anything right now. I don't think they will do chemo if he is sick. I will just keep praying for him and you too!
I am glad your mom's procedure went well. I will continue to pray for her as well.
Much love and many hugs to you my dear friend....connie d
