Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day!!!
Ha - Just noticed this thread!!
Connie -- sorry you're in pain -- weather can really cause problems, can't it?? Aches and pains galore. I hope you have a good day, and then get a good rest.
Judy -- Crab legs??!! I haven't had shellfish for ages - I love shrimp, and have been looking for a recipe for shrimp curry. Of course, I'll be making it for myself....Jim and I are always eating different things. I've given up on cooking for him, so he takes care of his meals, and I make my own -- a lot less stress!!
Trish - I didn't know you used to live in MA. I laughed when you mentioned going exploring. Maura and I used to go on "adventure rides" -- I'd let her give me directions.......go left here, Mom, or let's go straight a little longer before we turn, etc. Although once she did go on a real adventure ride with my Mom -- who was visiting. They went to the store together - at this point Mom wasn't diagnosed with Alzheimer's..but..... she got all turned around and they ended up driving around for quite a while before they found their way home. Luckily, Maura was old enough and she kept Mom calm until they got home. That was before everyone had cell phones and could call home.
Vickie -- I'm sorry things are going badly for your daughters. How sad -- you all have so much going on in your lives. I hope you and Butch manage to have a good day together despite everything else that's going on around you.
Christine -- I hear what you're saying about left-overs and having too much food. My freezer is overflowing, and my cabinets are bulging. It's like I have this fear that I'll run out of food........like that will ever happen. I could live for six months on what's in the house already!!
Prayers and good wishes to all !!!
Mary
Hello Mary...I had a wonderful day!! I love having family here!!
Happy Mother's Day to you!!!!
I am in soooo much pain....I have taken Vicodin three times today! We are having storms and rain and high winds and all the rest if it....no snow!!! I am glad my daughter and granddaughter took over and finished up preparing the meal. I had a lot done. They just needed to finish up the potatoes and heat the veggies. The ham and fruit was all ready taken care of! They cleaned up and put everything where it needed to be. Later when they left I laid down and iced my body. That felt so good!!
I know you went out to breakfast...what else did you do today?
Love your story about Maura and your mom's adventure!!!
Have a great evening...lots of love and hugs to you...connie d
