Hi Ladies.....
A beautiful day today -- I finished mowing the front and one side of the lawn a little while ago. So proud of myself - I did the front yard in one sweep, and the side yard in one sweep. In the past, I would have had to take about 1/2 dozen breaks on each section, would have to stop to catch my breath. When I finished the front yard, I turned the mower off, then beat my chest and made Tarzan sounds -- me Jane! One of my neighbors across the street was sitting in her lawn chair - she got a chuckle out of my antics. She's a single lady and is battling cancer (doing very well I'm happy to say) and she takes care of her own yard too.....although she has a very small lawn area compared to my yard. When we women get determined to do something - we battle and do whatever we have to do to get the job done -- we can be very strong, physically and spiritually when we get a bug up our a$$!!
Taylor is here -- We just had a lesson in vacuuming the living room, and now we're going to wash dishes. I told her she's getting to be a big girl and has to learn how to help. She is very proud of being a big girl, getting ready to go to kindergarten.
Now it's time to repackage some chicken breasts I picked up - have to break the huge package down to single-breast portions -- each 1/2 breast will make at least three servings -- I love saving money on groceries and take-out foods. Dinner for me used to be a 1/2 chicken breast and loads of pasta with some type of cheese sauce. Now it's about 1/3 of a 1/2 breast, with some mushrooms or cauliflower on the side. Staying away from processed foods almost 100%. Next week, I'm going to try to make "crockpot yogurt" -- someone posted the recipe and those who tried it said it was easy and delicious -- and very inexpensive.
BTW, did I mention the other day Jim and I looked at a used RV? We didn't buy it -- it had some issues, but now that I've been in one, I want to do some more reading on RVing - I liked it and it was a small one that I feel I could manage driving. I asked Maura if I got one, would she and her boyfriend ever be interested in going camping on their own, and she said she thought it would be great -- so I'm looking at ads for them -- Jim would try to barter the motorcycle he just finished paying off to use toward the purchase price. Fool - he buys motorcycles and he doesn't even have a license. Then he sells them at a loss, and does it again. He keeps looking at motorcycles and corvettes -- I told him I'd go for an RV - but I didn't want to hear a word about any other type of vehicle -- don't bother showing me the ads and telling me what a great deal these things are -- as far as I'm concerned, they're nothing but lawn ornaments. {sigh} We don't have a kitchen sink that works, but he has a motorcycle. I gave him a June 1st deadline for getting the kitchen sink fixed -- if not, I'm taking over. {I am woman, hear me roar!!}
Off I go now.........prayers and good wishes to all.
Eileen, I'm glad you're making progress in making your move in August, I know you'll feel so much better.
Christine - sounds like you're handling the challenges of working from home well - keep up the good work.
Connie - I'd be lost without my pain meds. I take them pretty regularly. But it's a nuisance. For a while I had to go to a pain clinic every month because my PCP would not write the prescriptions. Every month, the appt. would take 3-4 hours because the place was like a zoo. Everyone had a urine screening every month. I would wait hours, see the doctor for 30 seconds and he'd write the prescription for another month. There were so many "fakers" there, it was disgusting. One day I went there, and there was a sign the place had been closed down by the authorities and the doctor's license was revoked. My PCP then agreed to write my scripts, but he's trying to wean me off Methadone. I said that's fine -- but you have to give me something to replace it or I'll be in bad shape. So now, I drive call ahead every month, then have to drive into the City to pick up the written script to get it filled. He can only write the script for one month at a time. It's amazing the amount of fraud there is .... people get the medicine then sell it -- here they get $7 to $10 per pill. That's a lot of money - some places you can get even more money. Then they take the money and buy Coke or Heroin......... makes me very angry because I have to jump through hoops.
Vickie - so glad Butch is home...keeping my fingers crossed -- take care of yourself. Have you looked into getting a visiting nurse?
Trish - enjoy your Mother's Day dinner......sounds good.
Jeannie - I had plans for doing some gardening this year - tomatoes, sqash, cukes, etc. Hoping to go to a nursery next week.......we'll see what happens.
Judy -- where are you? Hope you haven't been blown away in all of these storms....!!
Really got to go.........
Mary
Hello Mary....it is just a beautiful day here too. I loved walking outside!! Good for you getting your yard mowed....I am proud of you!! Go Girl!! You are right about the BUG.....LOL!!
The whole deal with these people selling drugs really makes me so angry!! Why do people have to do these things. They aren't the ones effected by it. My doctor will mail my script to the pharmacy. She knows I don't drive and it is hard for me to get there. They are really cracking down on how often and what they are giving out now. They should have done this years ago!! Someone told me that Vicodin here is now selling for $16 a pill. No wonder they want it....so sad
Jim wouldn't be walking anymore if he was with me...shame on him leaving the kitchen sink like that!! Him wanting motorcycles is funny...especially because he can't ride it....and a corvette....the neighbors would really wonder about him then. First of all he probably couldn't even fit in one. Does he even have a legal drivers license?? Good Grief!!
You get out there and enjoy the rest of the day.
Lots of love and hugs to you...connie d
Hello Ladies,
Its a gloomy day here in MI. I'm kind of tired today but I think its due to the weather. Plus I fell asleep on the couch last night. I haven't lost much weight this month and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm eating right and exercising. Oh well that's life. I don't have much plan for this coming week.
I'm glad that Vickie and Butch made it home. That everyone is doing pretty good.
Everyone have a good week. Prayers for everyone.
Hugs,
Yvonne
Hello Yvonne...sometimes if you don't eat enough protein and get in enough water that will put you in a stall. Plus change your food around some. Some times we get in a rut. Change your exercise routine a bit now and then too.
I hope you have a better night's sleep tonight!!
Have a good evening....love and more hugs to you....connie d
Yvonne - Look at you, getting close to goal. Weight loss slows down as you get closer to your goal weight -- just the way it is, I guess. As long as you're still losing, even if it's slowly, you'll be fine. If you were at a standstill, that would be different. I'm envious!!
Falling asleep on the couch? Ouch! I usually start off on the couch, then end up in the recliner because I'm so uncomfortable.
Hope you feel better soon.
Mary
HI!!! I am here....lol been busy as usual and then some!! Thursday was my pre-op testing and on my way home drove past a car dealer and saw a pretty truck out front...told Rick about it and we looked it up online and found another one we liked much more...so when the mail came and we got the petty cash my bank is just about right next door to this dealership we stopped in to look at the truck...OMG!!!!!!!! We took it for a ride...fell in love with it!!!! It is a 2013 Chevy Silverado...Ruby Red color...20K miles on it...and best of all...only $22,399.00!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! We said we WANT WE WANT WE WANT!!!!!! So we bought the truck and are HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!! You MIGHT be able to see it online at MMGAUTO.com not sure but you can try...I can't figure out how to post pictures on this PC...GRRRRRRRR Any how we got a GREAT trade in price on other truck!!! Very Happy!!!!!!!
Had tenant Bingo yesterday. SIX showed up. One said she couldn't come because it was too hot for her to walk over in the heat and her breathing...so she sat in the SUN all afternoon!!!!!!! (Along with 3 others that usually come). Two weeks ago someone mentioned that I stop the bingos for the summer months...OH NO!!! WE WANT BINGO TO KEEP GOING ALL SUMMER!!! This came from the 3 that sat in the sun all afternoon!!!!!!!!!! So I am thinking see how many show up on the 22nd for the next one and just see IF I continue Bingo ALL summer or not!!!!! Mind you I make the small lunch out of MY POCKET NOT the tenant fund...I had so much left over its not funny!!! I made taco boats. Was very good too!!! Their loss!!!!!! (mine too) Maybe have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches see how they like that!!!!!!!!! LMAO
Then the latest gossip going around about Rick is he was drunk and passed out...nothing going on about his heart...WTF is wrong with these people???? Why would I call the squad and then the squad take him to the hospital and all these dr appointments after that????? I swear I EVER find out who it is that is talking this **** they better watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then I am asked yesterday if I am planning a 4th of July BBQ or not. I took a DEEP sigh...and answered...depends on how I feel. I do not know yet. And left it at that.
Was also asked how long I was going to be off for my surgery. I said the day of. Oh really...yes really. Why? Oh just wondering. ?????????? Its nothing serious why do I need off longer?????? All the dr is going to do is cut a nickel size piece off my cervix. Yippee.
I NEED A VACATION AND SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK happy I stopped in now?? LOL
Eileen so glad that you are getting some things back to NORMAL...hope you have SLUGGER with you!!! If need be smack him right between the legs!!!! HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Vickie...so HAPPY that Butch is back home again!!!! Hope you asked about having some home health care for awhile for him!!!! HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Connie...hope you are feeling better!!! HUGSSSSSSSSSSS
Jeannie...tornado alley sucks!!!!!!!!!! Hope you stay safe!!! I see its firing up again!!! HUGSSSSS
Oh CRAP!!!!!! CR****s again!!!!!!!!! Can't remember who else posted!!!! HUGSSSSSSSSS And CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH!!!! Went shopping for my jewelry for the wedding...ready for this one?? I bought $68 worth and only paid $10 for it!!!!!!!!! Oh Yeah!!!!!!!! Big Savings today!!!!!!!!! All that is left for me to get yet is my nylons and some slippers. I will NOT wear heals all day and night!!! NO WAY!!!!! I decided to wear my black heels that I already have seeing that Rick is wearing black dress shoes...not sure that I should wear silver ones because I would rather match him...lol but I am going to look for some slippers to wear otherwise... white, light purple, silver or black.
So need to go hot and Bandit needs to go potty walk now...
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Hello Judy...here I was getting worried about your testing and you were buying a truck....just kidding!! I know you were in need of a new one. It sounds like you got a good deal too. I love the red Silverado's they look so sharp!! Of course...red is my favorite color!!! I will try the auto site later.
Nothing wrong with PB&J sandwiches!!! You could take the summer off from Bingo and just relax more and enjoy the summer!! The woman is crazy...sitting in the sun....and complains she can't breath. She keeps sitting around like that and not walking now and then she won't have to worry about breathing ...she will be dead!! You can't please everyone. Take a break from it and drive your fancy truck instead!! Especially after that lousy comment about Rick being drunk and has no heart problems. You really do live in a mentally disturbed community!!!
Tell those lazy a$$ people to have their own 4th of July party....you are taking the summer off!! I wouldn't share any of my personal business around any of them!! They make it all up anyway!!
YES...I am happy you stopped in FINALLY!!! LOL!!!!!
I am feeling better just really bad pain today...it just started out of the blue. It happened so fast. It has to be Fibro and my ribs are killing me. Oh well....have to keep going!
NYLONS...who wears them...get your butt out there and tan your legs girlfriend!! I haven't worn nylons in probably 30 years. Nice tanned legs look great and so much cooler. Don't you think?? You scored on jewelry!! $68 for $10...WOW!! I think you and Rick are going to look great!! We will all be waiting to see the pictures!!
Enjoy your evening.
I love ya...HUGS...connie d
Now Connie...I have what I call ELEPHANT LEGS...Since I lost the weight my legs are hanging skin so if I am wearing a dress that comes about to my knees mind you...NYLONS ARE A MUST to hold the sagging skin TAUT!!!!!!!! I just crack myself up sometimes... (besides my legs do not tan that easy...I take after my dad...just call me ghost legs...lol)
Sorry that you hurt so bad...those dam storms out your way are also heading my way for Monday I believe...gosh I am praying already we do not flood!!!!!!!!!
Truck is more this color than the Red you are using...more toward a maroon...but is called RUBY RED. I finally got to drive it today...lol took Bandit for a "ride around the block" Poor guy has to jump higher just like me...lol to get in this one!!!
Well better go see whats happening at the other club house...party should be over with...said 430...hahahaha yeah right!!!!! They better have EVERYTHING cleaned up TONIGHT before 8pm and not come back TOMORROW or no deposit gets handed back!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
LOL...Judy you are so funny!!! I lucked out ...the only place I have sagging skin is my tummy..YUCK!!!!
My legs are thin and muscular...they always have been...exercise or not....that came from my mom!! I got her little butt too!!
I wish I could have PS on my tummy but insurance won't pay for it. Oh well....it isn't terribly bad. With all we went through a flat tummy would be nice!!
I am glad you got to drive the truck. I am jealous!!
I hope the building after the party was still standing!
Love you... hugs too.....connie d
