Hi Ladies,
I came to the library to download some games on my new tablet and bring back my book that I checked out. Its beautiful weather this weekend. I went and saw my ex-SIL and niece yesterday and took some shirts that were too big to my ex SIL. She appreciated it. Ive been wearing shorts the last two days. I have been walking every day after supper. I dont have much planned for the coming week.
Eileen Im so sorry for what happened to you. Thinking about you and you will be in my prayers.
Prayers for everyone.
Hugs,
Yvonne
Hello Yvonne....that was nice of you too share clothes like you do. I always do that too. If I can't find someone to use them then I donate then to a thrift store(epilepsy foundation). They pick up here once a month. That is great as hardly anyone drives here anymore.
I am happy to know you are getting out for your walks every evening. It feels great doesn't it!! Good for you!!!!!
Have a good rest of the day....keep in touch...you are missed!
Love and many hugs to you....connie d
Hello Connie and OFF Family,
Wow, what a gorgeous weekend here. It's in the high 70's today here in Michigan. I'm in heaven with this nice weather.
I have been dealing with insomnia for weeks now. So, I've decided I need to go away on a personal mini-retreat. I have important appointments this week, but could go next week for sure. I'm looking at heading to Lake Michigan, near one of the state parks here. I have to do some research online and decide where. I just need to get away, and not have to worry about family, or going back to Pennsylvania right now.
Mom went back to her home in Wilkes Barre a couple of weeks ago. She had been doing a lot better than in the Winter. Well, she sank back into her depression again. So, she is heading back to my sister's this week. She normally doesn't sink right back, after her winter lows. I'd appreciate prayer for her.
Connie, I finally got my capris and tank tops out. I wore long jeans and a nice top to church, but dug out the capris this afternoon.
Vickie, I am so happy you had a nice visit with all of your family yesterday. I can't wait till Trent finishes my back patio. I had hoped he'd fini**** last year, but alas, he has been so busy. I'll ask him this week. I know you will find the perfect furniture for your patio. Be patient, and you will find it.
Eileen, I'm watching baseball this afternoon. Right now they are winning, and unless our reliever gives up four runs in the ninth, we should be good. I hope you start feeling better physically soon. I believe the physical stuff will heal before the emotional trauma does. I don't know about you, but I have found that journaling sometimes helps me at times.
Judy, I love barbecue anything. I have a new grill, charcoal, that I have to put together. I had a small one, but had the big one, still in the box, for years. I need to fix that one, or replace it. It comes in handy for picnics, or to lend to Colleen when they go camping. I had a gas grill years ago, but prefer how food tastes with charcoal.
Well, I have to scoot. Too much to do, and zero time to do it.
Love and Prayers,
Trish

Hello Trish....I love this weather too!!! We had one thunderstorm the lasted about 20 minutes. It has been sunny and gorgeous since then....YAY!!!
I am sorry you have had to deal with so much insomnia. Insomnia wears us down....mentally and physically. I think your mini-retreat sounds wonderful and just what you need!! I would so like to do that for a week or even a weekend. I think about it so often. Someplace beautiful and calming with lots of little shops to browse in. I have planned that for years. That dream of mine is over. You go and do it for both of us!!
Sorry your mom is not doing well. She really does need to be in an assisted living before she ends up in a nursing home. She needs to be other people her age where there are activities to do. No need to worry about that right now. Go enjoy your mini-retreat. After that will be time to work on that again.
I am here if you need me!!
Love you...hugs....prayers......connie d
Good evening, sistas!
Last note of the night for me. I am one tired gal. Today I unpacked all of my china (both sets!), crystal, and silver. Whew! At least it was fun stuff to unpack.
Had Carrie here until around 3 p.m. She helped me do a few things that I needed a second pair of hands for. Then Chris and fam came over around 6 and stayed an hour or so. Budder can open the door! He's not even two yet. I'll have to remember to keep all the dead bolts locked when he's here now.
Made some progress on shifting things around. I'm going to love my new butler's pantry. It's already making such a difference in my storage capabilities! I really do have to try and find a really huge china buffet, but I'm trying to make do with the smaller hutch I have right now. The problem is I have all these dishes that I don't want to give up! I have a service for 12 of my inexpensive china. It's not anything valuable, but I fell in love with the colors. It's white, with blue flowers and a silver rim. I just kept collecting it and now I have so much of it! Then several years ago, I went and bought a set of antique bone china--some really good Bavarian china with gold rim--and I have a service for 10 of that one! That's one heck of a lot of china! And I got started collecting this antique Fostoria crystal years ago, and now I have dozens of stems, bowls, dessert plates, platters--you name it. I have a terrible weakness for dishes!
And I haven't even unpacked my Christmas dishes yet! I have THREE sets of those, but I'm going to sell two of them. I like my latest set the best. It's snowmen and I love snowmen. I'll let the other sets go in the garage sale.
So, as you can see, I have a problem. There needs to be a Dish Collectors Anonymous group. LOL!
Well, I read all the posts, but my Tylenol PMs are kicking in, so I'm off to bed without making comments. I sure hope I get to sleep all night tonight. I need it!
Love you all!
Hello Vickie...I am on my way to bed shortly!!
I am glad you made some good progress today. WOW you do have a lot of dishes!!! You must have entertained before Butch got sick. I had china and another good set of dishes....my daughters now have those. I always wanted a set of Christmas dishes but never got around to shopping for them. We were so tired with all that we went through with Nic, year after year. I just never entertained anymore. Now I am alone. No need for any more of anything!! I love snowmen too...I go crazy when I see them. I still have kept a lot of them.
I love dishes too...or I did...I still do....just down to one set for everything now.
Good night sweetie...love you...hugs...prayers...connie d
