It is Monday...where is everyone....
Good morning everyone....
It is a beautiful day today!! I will be going outside to walk for sure!!
So what is everyone up to today? Nothing much happening here. That is fine with me. Tomorrow I have a dental appointment. I chipped a tooth sometime yesterday!
I am going to try and sort through a few drawers. I need to get rid of a lot more stuff!! My cleaning fairy is going to help me with the closets when she is here Wednesday.I asked her to bring me boxes if she can find some.
That is about it...I will definitely check back in later.
I am concerned as to where Christine has been. It is quite a few days since she posted. I hope all is going well.
Have a good day!!!
Prayers for our amazing OFF Family and their families.
Much love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d
Good Morning Connie! (Actually it is now 12:45pm!)
I have done my 1st walk for the morning, dusted and cleaned the living room...including under the sofa cushions...lol, and cleaned out the end table drawers. I am also getting started on a new craft project I have been procrastinating on. Will see how far I get!
Sorry to hear about the chipped tooth! The dentist doesn't scare me, but I am just SO tired of medical appointments!
I go for my WLS related psych eval this afternoon. If I am not back on the boards it is probably b/c they put a 3 day hold on me!
I saw where Christine had posted on the main board a few days back, but it is unlike her to not stop in more. Hope she is reading & gives us at least a brief newsflash.
Seems the board has slowed down a bit the past few days in general. But then ppl get on at night. so I guess us 'earlybirds' will have to be patient.
Everyone have a great day!
Kathy
Hi Kathy...yes it has been really quiet. This is not so unusual as people are cleaning up their yards and such. Summer is just slower too because people do more family things and take vacations. It will pick up again...at least it always has. With all that Vickie has been going through she isn't here much. Hopefully that will change soon. I miss many others that are missing as well. Stop in people and at least let us know you are thinking about us.
Good luck with your eval this afternoon. I hope you come right back to us!!
I am going to start my walking now. It is just so beautiful outside and I want to enjoy it.
Love and more hugs....connie d
Greetings Connie and OFF,
I spent my morning with Frankie. He is so good at playing by himself, but loves for me to join me. He made "space ships" with Legos, then put a Lego guy on top and flew them around. About an hour before Colleen got home, I started feeling queasy. I've been so nauseous and feeling so sick. I had a Cup A Soup for lunch, and am chilling for the rest of the day.
Must scoot.
Love, Hugs, and Prayers,
Trish

Hello Trish....well I posted once and I was cut off for some kind of service error on their part. I will try again....
It sounds like you and Frankie had a good time together. He is a smart little boy with a great imagination!! Sorry you ended up getting sick. It is best you stay away from the kids until you know for sure what you have.
I hope you only have a mild bug and not that awful one that is going around. Rest and drink water. I am glad you had some soup and that worked for you. I hope you can get in some protein later.
I am praying some special prayers for you!!
Lots of love and oodles of hugs....connie d
Thanks for the prayers. The soup I ate was cream of chicken, so I should be okay. I did have some Greek yogurt before I got sick. I think it might be Colleen's water. Even though she uses a filter, I sometimes get sick from well water. Even though I live in the same neighborhood, I have city water, but also use a filter for it. On Mondays, I sometimes make my coffee at her house. Not anymore. This always happened when we visited my ex's grandparents. I'd have coffee in the morning, and feel this way the rest of the day. They lived in the country, and had a well.
Love you.

Hi sistas!
I'm taking a quick break from all the boxes. Lord above! I will be unpacking all week.
My mom and Butch are both acting like whiny demanding toddlers and it's all I can do not to snap at them. They want what they want when they want it and there's no waiting for it either! I realize that I am their "go to" person right now, but I need them to show a little restraint!
Anyway, Butch woke up nauseous this morning and he did throw up once. But he seems to be doing better now. I woke up with a headache, but it's gone away. I would be doing just fine if the two of them would just let me be for awhile. Mom just hovers and hovers, wanting to "help", which is nice of her, but I would be doing so much better by myself.
Sorry to be so *****y today. I'm just frustrated.
Anyway, I have unloaded several boxes today, so I AM making progress, right?
But, you know, I am missing several things from my big house. I can't find my living room lamps, my big KitchenAid mixer, some of my large canning equipment, my turkey fryer, etc. I think there must be more boxes in the garage at the other lake house at Sam Rayburn. Darn it. I thought when Butch and John Juan were distributing stuff 4 years ago, I told them to put all the house stuff in the storage building. But I do have a vague memory of Butch telling me the storage building was full and he had to put some stuff down at the lake. Guess that's where a bunch of my "good stuff" wound up! Those living room lamps were brand new and expensive to boot! I sure do need them back. I foresee another trip to Nacogdoches in our future. (Will I never be done with that place???)
Butch keeps asking me where such-and-such is, and I keep telling him, "In a box!" I think it would be funny if I weren't so aggravated with him. Today, of all days, he wanted to look at his old army photos. REALLY??? With all I have to do today, he wants me to stop and dig through boxes until I find the one with his old photos in it??? Men!
And Mom just insisted that she had to have her boxes with all her towels and linens in them. Never mind that her boxes are stacked up in the garage BEHIND all of my boxes. So I move and shuffle things around and finally find the boxes she just HAD to have RIGHT NOW. And now she's complaining because she doesn't have a linen closet and has no place to put all those items away. OOOOOKAAAAAY!
Well, y'all get the picture I'm sure. I'm really trying to find the humor in it all. Really. Y'all know what I believe: happiness is a choice we make daily! So, I'm happy, dammit! LOL!
Anyway, I did take a bath in the walk-in tub last night and had no problems. It sure was nice to relax in all the bubbles. And I love my new shower! Y'all know how tall I am. For the past several years, I've been having to squat and contort myself to get under the very low shower head at the old lake house. Now I can stand tall and enjoy a real shower. It's so nice and relaxing.
(Of course, Mom hates it. She says it's too tall. Honestly.)
My new cabinets are almost finished in the new butler's pantry. Oh, that's going to be so nice! Sam just has to come back and install the countertop. It sure is going to make a big difference in the amount of storage space I have here. Those were well worth the money! I have so many sets of dishes and china and crystal and partyware and other things. I will probably have to sell some of it, but at least I can now keep the things I love the most. Lord, girls, I am going to have the mother of all garage sales when I have one!
I love my new back yard and I can't wait to get started with the landscaping. I hope next week I can go talk to Milberger's Landscaping and find out how much they might charge me. I can't do all the heavy work by myself anymore. And my sweet yard man isn't able to do it for me anymore either. So I'll have to hire a crew. Never had to do that before.
Well, my "toddlers" are starting to make more demands on me, so I guess I've sat here long enough. They absolutely cannot stand to see me idle! If I'm sitting, that must mean I have time to do another project for them. LOL!
Love you all so much! I'll slowly get back into a routine and regular posting. Love to read all of your posts every day.
Hi Sweetie,
I had to chuckle at how you describe your Mom's behavior. She sounds identical to my Mom.
I know how hard it is to be patient with both of them, but I can tell you it'll be worth it.
Love and prayers heading to you.
